Susan welcomed us warmly and introduced us to her place. The camping spot was level and easy to pull into. The area was behind her house and a nice peaceful spot. We walked to the wharf and the local historic graveyard. Lovely stay!
This Hipcamp was exactly what we needed and expected. A nice quiet stop for the night after arriving on the CAT ferry to explore NS for a few weeks. Make sure you checkout the old cemetery down the street for great history and great views! Sue and family were great hosts. Thanks.
Perfect spot for a late arrival and early departure. Hosts were so friendly. We were very happy to have a place to stop for the night before heading to the ferry, which is a short drive from the camp site.
Susan's land is very close to Yarmouth (about a 10 minute drive) and was the perfect place for me to come back to after dinner to spend the night before catching the ferry early the next morning. Her and her son greeted me when I arrived and were both very kind and shared recommendations of things to see and places to go for dinner. The description on their page is spot-on and Susan is a wonderful host!
Lovely grass and tree area with easy access to the CAT Ferry. We had a nice quiet night after being personally greeted by our host. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend if you want to explore Yarmouth or catch an early morning ferry.
Susan’s location is very convenient for those using the CAT ferry. It is quiet and peaceful.
Susan is friendly and came out to greet us as we arrived and departed.
Very nice host that told us about local attractions, had a fire pit available for our use, and plenty of room to maneuver and park. If going to catch the CAT to Bar Harbor, recommend a second night so you have more time in the Yarmouth area.
Susan was a great host, she met us as we arrived and directed us to a spot in her home’s back yard. It was quiet and fairly private. Perfect spot for catching the ferry to ME in the early morning.
We enjoyed our peaceful night on Susan’s land. She met us as we pulled into the driveway and quickly saw that my husband was not feeling well after a bumpy ferry ride from Maine. She pointed us to a nice level spot, helped guide me in and left us to a quiet night.
We were appreciative of the extremely close place to stay so near the ferry.
Sarah was helpful, sweet, and very responsive. She recommended activities and was very welcoming. The property has beautiful views and is very close to the breathtaking Chebogue point. We woke to the sounds of cows and birds. The only drawback was the mosquitoes from the surrounding fields, so don’t forget your bug spray! Overall a wonderful experience in a beautiful place.
Susan was a very accessible host. She shared lots of local insight. Her backyard overlooks a meadow and is very quiet. If you are looking for a convenient place to crash before you head out on your journey this is a mere 5 minutes from the Yarmouth terminal.
Susan was an incredible host and was quick to respond to my texts and HipCamp messages. The camp site was at the end of her driveway on a grassy plot. The spot accommodated my 24 foot long shuttle bus but was just a wee bit tight to turn around. It did require some levelling. The night was very quite and dark. The walk to the oldest Baptist Church (1766) in Canada and Chebogue cemetery founded 1771 was well worth the time to wonder to. If we ever come through the area another time I would stay here again.
