Our First-Ever HipCamp Stay!
Andrew was communicative and thorough and keeps a tightly organized camp!!! Overall, a very good experience and a nice camping spot. The farm animals add to the experience, especially the goats! We were passing through - can't go wrong here.

A real gem
The entire time we stayed, my group couldn't stop talking about how lucky we were to find this spot. The bottom line is that we would come back here again and again!
The good:
Site and location - the site is nestled the perfect distance away from town to be close enough to pop in for a last minute need, but far enough that you still feel decently isolated. The area is large and relatively flat, great for set up. The amenities are great! We especially took advantage of the heated restrooms, ping pong table, and outdoor shelters.
Animals -From the two beautiful puppies, to friendly goats, and cows. Most of them wanted to spend some time with us and we definitely wanted to spend time with them!
Flexibility - Andrew went above and beyond to accommodate us throughout the trip. He was able to supply us with some add-ons last minute and he was flexible with our plans. Overall a friendly and responsive owner.
The less good:
It was pretty muddy after a rainy 24 hours. The addition of a ground sheet to protect your tent as well as some sort of towel or mat to put muddy shoes on is almost necessary if camping through rainy days.
Overall though, Andrew was amazing and mud happens outside! My buddies and I are itching to get back as soon as we reasonably can!

Site 4 - RV Oasis by Lake Norman, Charlotte
Heidi and Andrew have created a lovely oasis. This wonderful wide open field that allows for RV's as well as tents. Has allowed space for volleyball, ping pong, fire pits, cabana. Really well thought out space. I have to say, the bathrooms are exceptional! The best I've experienced. The available wood for fires was also a really nice boon. Favorite part? The lovely animals. The goats, the cows, the chickens. I loved it. The hosts are incredibly friendly. A very safe and family oriented environment.

Peaceful with lots of space!
We needed a place to stay while visiting family in Hickory and this was a great spot! Very peaceful, a great space to walk the dogs, and we enjoyed meeting Buster the goat! Our starlink also worked great here!

Site 3 - RV Oasis by Lake Norman, Charlotte
Found this campground when we had to make a last minute trip to the area. We loved it! It was a quiet, simple, and private retreat. We have 4 kids so usually try to find a playground, but the wide open area for them to run around and the volleyball net was plenty, plus they LOVED "Junklie" and visiting the goats. We never got to meet the owners, but they were responsive and even had our firewood waiting despite our late reservation. Thank you!

Great value, service and location
Great site! Awesome value and felt very private in the large open field! Really loved being able to visit the city and the lake while I was there since it’s pretty conveniently located. Grocery stores have easy access yet it feels very secluded when you’re back there on the property. Andrew and Heidi were so helpful and responsive my first night! I loved it! Be sure you can migrate wet ground when getting in position. ;)

Not even the rains from hurricane Nicole could keep us away from camping! Not only did Andrew and Heidi bring in sand and gravel to help with the muddy pathways they also kept our firewood dry. We had such a great time on our maiden voyage with our Overlanding trailer; we unknowingly booked a site with electric so we got to test out or rig more than we anticipated. Bathroom/shower areas were immaculate! The ground lighting all around the campground was great and the fire rings were spectacular. We will definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome weekend and great hospitality!

Super friendly, super clean facilities, they even dropped off fire wood to all the sites free of charge. I actually extended my stay there by 2 nights because I enjoyed the atmosphere so much. Close to several supermarkets and stores but felt off the beaten path too.

We only were there for the weekend. But it was really nice peaceful. Other than the highway noise just got a block it out ain’t too bad. The bathrooms are amazing. They did a really nice job out there. Thank you.

Perfect last minute camping trip! Stayed here while playing in a soccer tournament. Fire pit and wood provided! Showers/bathrooms are great especially for the price! Had a bit of trouble figuring out which site was ours because we arrived at dark, but before I thought to call, the owners came on an ATV and kindly pointed out our spot. Drinking water and power right on site. Safe and quiet place! Loved it!

Convenient camping near Charlotte
Great setup on a clean property. The sites were well spaced and the on site facilities were excellent. The trade off for convenient location is that you can hear some road noise. Lots of space for walking dog and great star gazing.

The wife and I stayed at the RV Oasis on our way back to MA from GA. We both loved the location and the facilities. When we arrived Andrew was busy with his boys digging trenches to install power and water at 6 sites plus some futures bathrooms / showers. Clearly he's a man on a mission. We stayed at the top of the hill (which is level) in our 24' self contained RV. We had a fire in the provided fire ring, with his generously provided wood. What more can you ask for really. In the afternoon we took a short drive to Mountain Creek Park, lots of trails for all levels (kids though hardcore mountain bikers), really well done and immaculate. Would definitely stay with Andrew again.

Starry Sky
Beautiful property with the owner making improvements such as what will appear to be power and water hookups. My wife and I tent camped and enjoyed a beautiful starry night. Walked our Doberman down the entrance road a piece, and got to see some deer. Owner also, provided fire wood, which was great. Great little close to Conover, NC trip for us. Hope to return in the future.
