An off-grid experience with on-grid elegance. Owned by a yoga instructor and NYC transplant, this is a dream come true. The farm was purchased to raise my children, and when they went off to college, it was converted into my dream of owning a retreat center in nature, hosting yoga and wellness events, and sharing the peace of nature with my community. It seems very rugged when you enter, but when you get to the end of the driveway, the meadows open up, to reveal a small organic garden and a firepit. We have a covered pavilion for community yoga, an onsite walking path, and access to the Mountain To Sea Trail. Learn more about this land: This is the spot for campers looking to get away into nature, without "roughing it". We make sure that you feel taken care of when you are here... We are less than an hour from downtown Durham, Raleigh, Wake Forest, but you are totally surrounded by nature and feel that you are far far away. There is easy access to elegant, well-stocked restrooms (hand lotion, hair ties, scented soap). In the evening our farm turns into a magical place with twinkling lights. We have a yoga studio, yoga events, and even a yoga+brunch. Our property is well maintained and sprayed for mosquitoes. There are many community gathering areas, as well as a designated area for cooking. You can walk our new trail, hang out in hammocks (that you provide), or take the 9-minute drive to the marina for some paddleboarding, canoeing, or kayaking. If you are in the mood for a hike we are steps away from the Mountain to Sea Trail. You may join one of our scheduled classes, or book a private class for yourself and/or your group. You may also book some time in our authentic Nordic Sauna. If you choose to order breakfast, it is served in a private outdoor area.

Serenity Farm Camping

Camping at its very best.

From arrival to departure this location and the host were simply fantastic! Sharon’s gourmet breakfast is an amazing experience all on its own. Especially after we found ourselves with expired dried camping food pouches and tasteless valid pouches (which we brought with us) the night before. Of course finding oneself unprepared for something you were certain you had planned accordingly for is part of the fun of camping, but a glorious setting and divine home cooking makes it waaaaay easier to get over. We will absolutely return for a longer stay.

Great for a getaway

My partner and I decided to spend her birthday at Serenity Farm for the night, and it was a peaceful escape. The community fire pit was great, and we were only minutes from the Mountain-to-Sea trail, which made for a perfect morning hike. Having a bathroom was also an added bonus!

Beautiful property

Beautiful grounds and friendly host. She does yoga retreats on her property, the name really fits, serenity farms. Profoundly peaceful and serene. We only spent the night while passing through but if we're ever in the area again, we'd stay here. She allowed us use of her indoor bathroom, quite the luxury on our 2 week road/camp trip.

Fantastic location and host!

Great property with easy access bathroom and shower. The camping areas are very pretty with hiking very close by. Sharon was so accommodating and pleasant. We even took a yoga class with her on site and it was wonderful! I highly recommend checking out Serenity Farm!

Serenity Farm Camping

This was the perfect spot for my friend and I to camp and relax after attending a festival in Raleigh. The grounds are so peaceful and the bathroom/shower was a real treat for us campers! Sharon was such a wonderful host! She accommodated us greatly, met us to show us around, and she made us the most delicious breakfast in the morning. We decided to stay to join her Yin yoga class as well, and it was the perfect start to our day as we continued on traveling. Hope to come back again!

This was my first camping experience and boy did we pick the right place. Sharon is very pleasant and professional, she greeted my husband and I as we walked up and gave a tour and was very helpful in giving us helpful hints since we were camping with no experience. I will definitely be back and recommend Serenity Farms to others the name Serenity is very fitting. We loved our experience

Sharon was so accommodating! Hands down, one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. The site was absolutely beautiful - all the amenities were well thought out, clean, and easily accessible! Though we don’t practice yoga, we still found this to be a relaxing, rejuvenating getaway. We are local to the area, and plan on making this our local go-to for our time away. Great night away.

Sharon was a great host!!! She allowed our son to feed the chickens and made him a smore gift bag. Its a nice property to get away from city life for a bit. Perfect place to bring someone new to camping as the restrooms and showers felt like home. Its a yoga retreat if you enjoy that kind of thing. Has an on site sauna too.

Truly serene

This place is one of our top two favorite Hipcamp spots of all time (and we’ve stayed at a lot!!) We slept nestled between five gorgeous pine trees and felt so safe, tranquil and secure. Sharon is such a welcoming host and exudes positive energy. She brought wood and a private fire pit and made sure the other campers knew we wanted to stay distanced and to ourselves. We were nervous about staying in a shared camping space but had no reason to be. The other campsite is at the opposite side of the property and you really feel like you have your own serene little world. I highly recommend this spot!

Lovely property and very easy to access. Sharon was great on our trip and gave a great tour of the property. The sites were open and private, and on-site restrooms were well kept. There was also a grill set up that helped out with cooking; much easier than over the fire. Overall, we had a great relaxing stay!

Sharon was a wonderful host! The amenities provided made got a very comfortable camping stay, and her property was beautiful. So easy to get to from Raleigh, but still felt like we were miles and miles away from civilization.
