Cozy Cottage Farm Stay
Absolutely perfect. We just feel in love with Mark and Elizabeth. What an exceptional first time hipcamp experience. We'll be back again. We got to see 3 baby goats being born and just loved being on this farm. What a great family we're apart of now. Truly happy. Didn't want to leave.

Happy Hillside Tent & Hammock Camp
First time tent camping!
What a peaceful spot to pitch a tent! Elizabeth is so hospitable and a delight to be around. There’s so much land to explore and the animals are so fun, it’s impossible to be bored. Not to mention you truly do not have to pack much, because she generously supplied nearly all that you can think of! It’s very primal, but it was a great place to learn as a first-time camper. I will definitely being going back again once it’s warmer!

Cozy Cottage Farm Stay
I stayed in the Cozy Cottage for a couple of nights while road tripping through the Carolinas. While January is a bit off season for camping, I found that the property still has lots to offer. Elizabeth and I had some great conversation, and I was able to appreciate all the farm animals. The dogs were friendly companions, and frequently stopped by the cottage to say hi. The cottage was clean and heated with an electric heater and wood burning stove, so I was able to get a good night's sleep on the comfy bed. I look forward to staying here again on future adventures!

Babbling Brook Treehouse
Winter camping
The 3 of us and our dog really enjoyed our stay in this treehouse. The fire area was great and there’s plenty of seating and swings. Our dog really enjoyed being able to explore the area and the occasional visits from Seth (the hosts dog). We had a little trouble with the heat our first night but Elizabeth was very accommodating and quickly resolved the problem. It was below freezing temperatures every night and we still stayed very warm inside the treehouse, but you will need about 3 propane canisters if you plan to run the heater all night, which I would recommend if you have someone sleeping on the lower level. Elizabeth has the place stocked up with everything you’ll need to be comfortable during your stay. I would recommend this spot for someone who wants to go camping but isn’t fully committed to staying in a tent, it’s the perfect thing in between!

Babbling Brook Treehouse
What a beautiful spot this was, so many little different areas to explore! The treehouse itself was also very quaint and cozy! Elizabeth was a great host, extremely responsive (usually write back within 10-15 mins) and really seemed excited to be sharing her gorgeous property with others. Would 100% visit again!

Suspended Sanctuary Tentsile Tree Tent
10/10 best stay yet!
This stay was a 10/10!!! My boyfriend and I booked it- even in the middle of a tropical depression we had a BLAST!! Elizabeth provided us with everything… there was an outhouse for the bathroom, a separate place to eat dinner away from the bugs and the rain, an outdoor shower, a beautiful campfire set up, a kitchen place, hammocks, etc… all that before you even get to the tent! Which was the highlight of the trip :). We got to sleep in the trees!! Everything about this camp site was amazing! Elizabeth even met us to walk us down to the campsite! The weather cleared up and the night ended up being amazing!!! If you aren’t too interested in staying up in the trees- she has other campsites with house structures you should definitely check out!!

Babbling Brook Treehouse
Simple Cottage Life Getaway!
Elizabeth and Mark are wonderfully sweet hosts who obviously put lots of love into their work! The treehouse is a rustic storybook cottage built into a hill near a bubbly stream. My husband and I adored our simple-living getaway, and made much use of the hand-pump well and kerosene lantern. The treehouse has a great collection of books, and Elizabeth recommended just the one I needed to read! I definitely would grab the animal petting and fire making add-ons. It was a lot of fun becoming a “pyrochick” around the campfire, and searching for eggs in the henhouse. A beautiful spot to slow down and observe the autumn-red leaves!

Great family camp!
This campsite is lovely and so well stocked! You hardly have to bring a thing and the hosts are so nice and responsive. The creek is calming and there are wonderful options for seating by the fire, including seating. Also a great place for kids for and and play with a slack line, a slide, and more. Great stay!

Suspended Sanctuary Tentsile Tree Tent
Eavesdropping on leaves dropping ;)
I had one of the most relaxing weekends ever, snoozing in a cocoon suspended between three trees. Getting into and out of the safari stingray was a lot more straightforward than my middle-aged knees had anticipated, and I had a front row seat to watch the leaves turn from green to yellow and red and fall. The hosts, Mark and Elizabeth, were gracious, hospitable, generous people and I felt really cared for during my time there -- not at all like I was by myself as I was. Three dogs visited me during the evening - felt like they were also watching out for me. The hosts let me stay a little longer than check-out time, too, so I was able to squeeze in an extra morning of reading Toni Morrison to the nascent sounds of fall. Twas lovely and I can't wait to go back, this time for longer. After a short time I felt like I'd had a vacation!

Suspended Sanctuary Tentsile Tree Tent
Elizabeth was very responsive whenever we had questions before camping and while at the site. Their property is gorgeous and we loved being able to play on the slack line and in the creek and walk the trails. Definitely pack light, but they make it easy - pretty much everything you need is provided. Just bring bedding and food. There were other campers at the other sites, but we couldn't hear them. Our site was very private and it was nice to know others were camping in the woods nearby. We fell IN LOVE with Seth, their black lab. He would come and visit us and say hello. Our son is a bit weary of dogs and he actually found Seth to be approachable and liked him! Overall a really nice trip, beautiful property, friendly hosts. The suspended tree tent was a lot of fun.

Great for Nature Lovers (and Dogs)
My partner, my dog, and I had a great stay here. Tons of useful items and interesting locations on site that make it easier to pack less and still have a full experience (and more). We were surprised by the variety of things available, such as allergy medicine, which did come in handy when we weren't expecting it.
If you want to hear about local flora and fauna, definitely ask. Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and eager to share. (:

Overall good spot
Lovely spot to camp. The site was clean and had great amenities. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. Close to Kerr Scott Reservoir which had nice beaches for swimming and boat ramps for kayaking. There are several dogs that roam around the area or live on properties nearby that barked for several hours at bedtime and again in the early morning. Otherwise was a great spot.

Suspended Sanctuary is amazing. Sleeping on the trillium is super comfortable, and the space is sacred. Quiet, beautiful, secluded without prohibitive travel. Elizabeth is inviting and warm without intrusion. My daughter and I had a fabulous overnight, and we are already checking our calendars for our next visit. (PS-it truly is stocked with all anyone could need. Bring something to cuddle into at night, something to eat, and then, just relax with everything that else that is provided).

Babbling Brook Treehouse
Our family spend a wonderful week at the treehouse! We loved every minute of it! Our kids had a great time playing in the creek, swinging, napping in the hammocks and just running around the woods! Just the right amount of things to do while being able to fully relax and unwind.
Touring the farm was a blast- the goats and donkeys are so friendly and love getting pet. Elizabeth and Mark were wonderful hosts and we had everything we needed for our stay. We also loved getting out and exploring- a nice hike on Prayer Mountain, Rocky Face park and a great time at the Emerald Hollow Mine. So many great memories were had!

Farm Stay Tent Site
Very Unique Camping Experience
This was a really unique Hip Camp site with multiple opportunities for camping in a beautiful, relaxing area. The host is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and will even give fire starting lessons. It was fun being around the horses, burros and donkeys as well. Highly recommend checking it out.
