Site 1 - Russ’ Runaway Ranch
Awesome Chill Spot!
Russ has a great spot to chill and relax. We had a short stay over and enjoyed every minute. It was me my husband and my 2 daughters...and our 2 dogs. We relaxed and hung out with a lovely fire and a sweet spot to chill on the hammock. Russ was super friendly and laid back. We met his animals (2 goats, 1 pig, 3 chickens and 1 kitty cat) and spent some time feeding them and wandering around the barn. We even got some of the FRESH eggs for breakfast. I would absolutely recommend Russ's camp spot to anyone!

We love the location as it’s close to Crowder Mt for hiking. The site is secluded and quiet. Russell is a lovely host and we will come back again!

Goats and chickens. :-D the site is at the top of their hill. Easy to get to but might be a little tricky in the rain. It was SO peaceful. If parked the right way you face the woods. Nice firepit, good water pressure and electric. Will definitely be bac when visiting friends!

We will stay again!
Russell was a great host! We came in a 16’ camper van. It was nice spot in their back yard, up the hill in a wooded area. We had a nice fire enjoying his fire pit and Adirondack chairs. It was nice to walk our small dog along his wooded trails.

Great stay at Russ’ Runaway Ranch. Russ was very helpful and kind. We loved his farm animals! The goats, and kittens were so fun to play with and they were all so eager to have visitors. Russ had a tent with camp stove set up along with a camp toilet. The location is relatively close to the interstate and fairly easy to navigate to. Overall we enjoyed our stay and Russ was a great host!

Primitive camping, nice host!
Russ was a great host! The site is what you see in the picture, about 50yards from the house!. I actually slept in my sleeping bag on the hammock, and it was great. PLENTY of great firewood! Nice primitive getaway! I got to pet goats for the first time, too :-)

Welcoming host and friendly animals
Russell has a cozy camp area set up behind his come with a shade tent, table and chairs, and fire pit with free firewood for his guests. There are friendly goats, chickens, a pig and kitties as well (two kittens accompanied us throughout our stay). Russell is a very accommodating host. He provided water and electric extensions for our travel trailer. The land is a bit hilly so you will have to level and it's all grass. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Russell is a great host. He had a fire pit and wood ready for us. It was nice to have a little covered table and chairs right on the edge of the woods. Cute barn and animals. Would stay here again when passing through.

A good little, quick getaway
We were locals of the area just needing a quick getaway. Booking, entering, and leaving the property were super easy. Russ was very nice. The property easy to get to and use. The canopy, hammock, and firewood was a super nice touch! The site we stayed at was clean. The only "con" was the road traffic noises and headlights every now and then. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means but just FYI if you're looking for a super quiet site. Location is close to a lot of attractions/food so it'd be easy to explore the area. Lots to do within 30 minutes of the site :)

Happy Campers
We really enjoyed staying here. Russ is a great host who gave us a tour of his ranch and gave us everything we needed. He has plenty of firewood and the table and chairs area under a canopy is wonderful. There is a hiking trail and a hammock to use. We will definitely stay here again.
