Wood Spring is a private members only rustic camping club. Hipcampers have access to all 52 acres including our pond, meadow, Little Buffalo Creek, and our hiking trails. You’ll get a gate combination after confirming your stay. Enter through the gate on our one lane road, cross the shallow creek and end at our large open meadow. If the creek is ever too high to cross, park in the grassy area and walk across foot bridge. GPS coordinates will be shared of your site. Enter those in your map software. Welcome to our club you are a Wood Spring Member during your stay. *Day Members shall have access to Corporation amenities and facilities and follow all rules. Day Membership includes an overnight stay. Day Membership is non-voting, and does not include status in the event Wood Spring were to dissolve. Day Members are not required to participate in Workdays

Wood Spring Club is a local not-for-profit (501c7) rustic camping community that is opening its gates to the public as the needs for clean, safe, and available campsites grow. Enjoy this hidden gem set on 50 acres of land, with hiking trails, a pond, and all that nature has to offer. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a communal fire. It is located minutes from Knox Farm State Park and the 400, making it a quick drive to and from the festival. Come make Wood Spring your unofficial home for the weekend! Camping sites are located in our Meadow. You will be given a 20' x 20' space.

Conklin Overlook

The overlook has a unique and private vantage point, that is enclosed by mature trees. The overlook is located on a small incline that would require you to walk your supplies to. Please park along the trail or at the bottom (at the entrance). Stacked wood and fire pit are provided.

This site is beautifully perched overlooking the flow of the Little Buffalo Creek as it meanders through the property. Enjoy the covering of the ever green Hemlock trees, pop your tent and relax with an established fire pit. A short walk up the road takes you to our meadow, pavilion and access to the pond.

Nojaim’s Watch is perched looking over Little Buffalo Creek and surveying a beautiful Northern view of our spring fed pond, situated in the heart of camp. Listen to the bard owls call in the evenings. Hop on your mountain bike and hit our trail system or take a dip in the water at sun up. This spot has it all. Picnic table and fire pit provided with privies within walking distance. just pack your camping spirit :). Nojaim's Watch shares a border with our neighbors, there are logs that outline the property line at the back of the spot.

The notch is carved into a quiet stand of maples that shroud a lone hemlock tree. There you’ll find a picnic table, a lovely spot for your tent or hammock, a hand-hewn bench next to the natural firepit and plenty of wood to split and enjoy for fires. Access is simple with room to park a large vehicle or two small compact cars. The pond is only a brief walk away and access to the main trail that circles the property is right at your doorstep.

Overall the campground was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Although for the price of $60 any campground should have the showers up and running along with cleaning the porta potties of sewage and spiders at least weekly. It was obvious many of the potties were not cleaned in a long time.

Wood springs was beautiful rustic camping. Honestly everything I was looking for. Brought my 6yo, 4yo and 6month old so I’m always struggling to find more rustic sites that are still easily accessible and this perfectly fit the bill. They reached out on their own to let me know that there was another site that was shadier and offered us to go there which was so thoughtful. When we arrived i was a little nervous about how many tents were there- though they’re all very spaced out and private (my kids just don’t sleep so I always worry we will keep others awake), but we only saw 3 people actually there- on a Friday night. So it was very quiet and peaceful. We ended up staying just on the other side of the creek- howick bend? I think it was called. And it was perfect for our 10 person tent, my mini van and room to play. The pond was nicer than I expected on the “beach” side- they clearly take care of it and it’s sandy- there were kayaks and even some life jackets there we could use. We didn’t venture around too much but stroller walking was easy and creek walking was perfect for the kids and me baby wearing. The outhouses seemed nicely dispersed and we were right by one and there wasn’t any smell and they were very well kept. Two of the people we saw talked to us and told us they were members and were happy to help if we needed anything.

A beautiful place to lose yourself in WNY. Close enough to enjoy the small town life in East Aurora and a short trip back to camp for a piece of country. Very safe and secure with private entrance and exit.

Camping spot was very private and secluded, which I loved. Was a bit of a tight squeeze to get in there but that isn’t even a bad thing necessarily. All in all it’s a nice, clean, quiet spot!

Borderland Camping in the Meadow
We had an excellent time during a weekend here for the Borderland Festival September 13-15. Friendly likeminded folks and just a peaceful place to hang our heads after a day of festival going. Short drive to the camp, and plenty of great spots!

My girlfriend and I stayed a Thursday through Sunday night for the Borderland Festival. Our Rockwood ESP Camper extends to 24' and fit perfectly!! One of the best sites we've ever had the pleasure to camp in 😊 Creekside was a huge bonus... Several members dropped in to day hello and welcome us... even invited us to their nightly bonfire/jam! Unfortunately festivaling wore us out each day, so we didn't make it... Great people. I highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for privacy and a welcoming environment. Close to several great towns and a short drive to Buffalo. We will be back for certain 😊✌️

Great quiet spot near east aurora! Despite the other reviews, we didn't really run into a lot of other folks, so it was nice and quiet. A unique and private area that felt very safe. We were positioned at Howick Bend which was kind of on a corner so we were expecting some more road noise, but there weren't really any people around so it was all good! Would stay again.

Woodspring club is great. My son and I rode our pedal bikes in. Initially had some trouble finding the spot but it only took a little bit of exploration to find it. Clean, lots of space, private. Would definitely go again. The members were all very friendly, one person even let us borrow a fishing rod and we caught a couple of fish.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience tent camping at Howick Bend! The original site I had booked needed to be used for an extended stay and I was given a couple options for alternatives. Loved our choice and when we return (and we WILL return!) we would choice Howick Bend. Before we even got out of our car we had met a member named Ralphy (Self proclaimed Mayor of Wood Springs :)) who offered for us to park on his site (right across from ours) because ours had a patch of mud where we needed to park it. Extremely friendly, welcoming us to join the members down at the pavilion for a gathering they were having for another members birthday. While we were setting up our site car after car drove by us, smiled, waved and some even rolled down the window to say “hey are you hipcampers?!” to welcome us and again invite us to the pavilion. After setting up we decided to walk around to get to know the area and were offered food/drink from all who were at the pavilion as we passed by. We had no idea what the environment was going to be like, but we absolutely loved the community feel here as well as the members we met! So much that we are highly considering applying to be members ourselves. If you are outgoing, like to mingle with fun, free spirited people, then enjoy retreating back to your own quiet space this is the spot for you. 1000% returning.

This is our second time at Wood Springs. The site was spacious and we really enjoyed the provided fire pit/picnic table. We just have a small car so it was nice that this site was easy to get to without having to go uphill too much. We loved that we were in close walking distance to the pond and had a great time fishing. Everyone at Wood Spring’s was welcoming and friendly. We would recommend Nojaim’s Watch and we will definitely be back again.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli en personne par les responsables, cela change des autres campings. Les instructions étaient claires. La vue sur le lac correspondait bien à l’annonce, Les kayak étaient à disposition. Leurs recommandations concernant les boutiques aux alentours étaient bonnes. Je recommande fortement

Amazing campsite. All the peace and tranquility you would like. Also big enough for large groups. Enjoyed our own lake view. Only suggestion for improvement is to have a map by entrance and also a large sign with lights to each campsite on the main road. It is hard to find the exact spot even with the GPS, especially if you arrive after dark.
