The Dacha
We really hope to return
We had a wonderful couple of nights staying in the Dacha and found it to be exactly like the photos. Very comfortable for four people. We enjoyed cooking on the open fire and using the outside kitchen facilities, gazing at the moonrise and stars at night, and sampling the beer and sough-dough pizza from the Beer Diviner (checkout their eggs from chickens fed on the used malted grains). If you want an upgrade from camping, then this place delivers. Rustic charm at its best.

Fantastic cabin experience!
Amazing little cabin! So basic yet so perfect and cosy. A lot of interesting little details makes this a fantastic cabin to visit and escape the city! Has everything you need even though it is a basic little wooden cabin.
Had such a great experience that I had to propose to my girlfriend under the stays while cooking smores over the fire at the Dacha!

Lovely private getaway
We love The Dacha! It is everything described and more SUPER private (we just saw other people because we went to the brewery). The outside kitchen is amazing - there's a french press, some pots and pans, plates, silverware, a one burner stove (you will need the butane), tea pot - it feel great cooking there. The chairs around the fire are super comfy and my little one was IN LOVE with he playground and toys. He was also super curios about the curios objects around the cabin/property.
The natural bathtub is something else... in the end of Summer it felt COLD but we of course got in there. TWICE!
If you like beer and pizza you need to hit the brewery.
The only downsides are bringing stuff up (we had a huge cooler, portable crib, food etc). My husband claimed it to be the biggest workout of his life :) so go prepared or pack light. Also, the cabin is pet friendly so there's a ton of dog hair/dandruff. Next time we will arrive earlier to air it - if you have dogs allergies like me, bring your Benadryl and get a good night of sleep!

Dacha Magic!
The Dacha is a magical place. The outdoor kitchen is great. The beds in the cabin are more comfortable than you’d expect them to be. It’s so very quiet and private. The creek is beautiful and great for cooling off. We hope to visit again.

Third time the theater coop has stayed there. Always delightful! Accommodating, well-provisioned, organized and fun. Love staying there and supporting friends like Andrew and Vicki!

Beautiful rustic cabin.
The Datcha is a special place. It was perfect for our kids to play and run around, build fires in the fire pit and just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Perfect Weekend in the Woods
Amazing place. Great little Dasha in a beautiful clearing in the forest. There are two full beds which worked great for us, two couples. The place is stocked for comfort and everthing was great!

Staying at The Dacha was even better than I expected! It's a little hike up to the cabin but totally worth it. We had a great time making dinners over the fire and then being able to sit back and watch more fireflies than we could count. The night sky is also amazing - a clear sky let us see the glow of the Milky Way and a handful of shooting stars.
And don't pass up a trip to the Beer Diviner at the bottom of the hill! Excellent beer, people, and pizza!
The Dacha
The site was nice and secluded. A lot to do on the property, especially if you have kids with you. I think this would be a lovely visit in the fall when it's a bit cooler since there wasn't a ton of shade access on the deck area. Being walking distance from fantastic beer was a super plus! And the creek was a fairyland. Thanks!

The Dacha
We loved our stay at the Dacha! The property was very private, the cabin was cozy and we loved having the outdoor kitchen setup. As another reviewer wrote, bring some extra shade in the hot summer months; our mornings were a little hot but once the cabin started casting shade, the afternoons were absolutely sublime. I highly recommend this spot for a cozy getaway!

Excellent accommodations
A very cool and relaxing spot -- we had a wonderful time just sitting and enjoying. The proximity to the state park and surrounding countryside make it a great and simple basecamp for day stuff. One thing, the walk uphill to the cabin with gear was strenuous, even more so with the wheelbarrow, so make sure you have a strapping and capable youth with extraordinary lung capacity in your party. And a suggestion to the hosts: some mosquito netting that can be draped above the beds. It's hard to keep those beasts out, plus it'll make the place that much more dacha-esque.

We had a great stay on this peaceful property! It was a nice step up from tent camping, especially with our active toddler. There was plenty to explore both on the property and in the nearby area. We especially enjoyed listening to live music at the brewery next door and our campfires under the stars.

Absolutely magical night at the Dacha. Enjoying a meal over an open flame while star gazing was just perfect, followed by a sound night's sleep in the cozy cabin. Morning by the stream and a cool dip to invigorate for the day. Can't wait to come back.

Perfect 2 days at the Dacha
A perfect get away to reset and relax..a tough enough walk up the hill with all your stuff but so so worth it. Loved the little outdoor kitchen, bring what you’ll need and cook on the fire pit, open a bottle of wine and listen to the owls and the stream. Relaxing on a rainy afternoon with the French doors open and a book was a dream. Can’t wait to come back!

Go ahead and book it!!
Ooh, The Dacha-- what a place! We're always in search of unique camping experiences and the Dacha did not disappoint!
The camp was easy to find and so welcoming upon arrival. All the staples were provided for an easy-going weekend getaway. We delighted in the view, the space, the decor, and some truly sweet reading material (read the guest book for so many smiles!) It was still a little chilly to fully indulge in the stream for bathing, but I'm glad I took a quick plunge-- it'll wake you right up!
We didn't bring our dogs this time, but couldn't stop thinking about how much they would have loved it, too. Bring your fur friends if you have them! They'll thank you. :)
In nearby Pittsfield you'll find all the supplies you'll need, plus some great eateries and fun shops to explore if you find yourself looking for something to do outside of camp.
Hopefully we can return for a longer stay in the future. Many thanks to Andrew and Victoria for opening up this space for us to enjoy <3

The Dacha was charming. We spent a cold, rainy weekend inside by the fire, reading multiple books and sipping on wine. Wish we could have explored a little more but it was just too wet to wander too far. Would like to check out the Dacha in the summer months.

Our stay was incredible! The place was amazing, it was a perfect weekend getaway! I would recommend staying more than one night, it was a perfect retreat, and having a brewery at the button of the hill was a great benefit. I am going to recommending this place to my friends and family, and try to plan another stay there soon!

The location of the Dacha house is gorgeous. Inside and outside it was beautiful. The beds were not as comfy as my guest and I would have hoped so there is that and it gets a bit chilly although there is a wood oven and extra blankets in the cabin to keep you warm.
It is a very rustic affair, be prepared for that and you will enjoy.

Such a lovely spot! Very peaceful, beautiful view, and just the right level of civilized to make it easy without too much planning ahead. And having the Beer Diviner around the corner is so sweet! We’ll be back.

The Dacha
The Dacha is all kinds of low-pressure perfect. Just far away from the urban bustle to be truly relaxing, but still easy to get to. Everything you need for a almost-no-prep camping trip -- outdoor kitchen! electric lights! composting outhouse! beds! -- with nothing unnecessary, extra, or superfluous. On top of it all, magical details: a gorgeous hillside and fire circle for star-gazing, a natural bathtub craved out of the spring, the song of coyotes at night, the twinkle of moonlight in mirrors.
