Beautiful location and views! The cabin is so lovely- straight forward but also well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches and art! Loved hanging on the screen-in porch and being able to take a hot shower outside. Sauna was incredible, just takes time and patience :) Air mattress was comfier than I expected too. I hope to return for another staycation in the woods soon!

Seneca Lake rustic woodsy cabin
J responded quickly to all my questions, and was very personable. I'm an older woman, traveling it my reactive dog, so his cabin location made me feel safe with his home being so close. But it was still secluded enough to feel we were alone, and the area is beautiful! It's super cute and close to all the amazing sights in the Finger Lakes.

This cabin was very cute with tons of amenities. It was both private and close to many restaurants and parks. I would stay here again!

Sweet spot. Hidden away from the main tourist attractions but still close to hiking, swimming, wineries and Ithica. Cabin was super cute, private, functional, had good amenities and a surprise… huge sauna inside.

It really is the cutest cabin. You walk a short path and it really is like a whole little world there. Very private. J was super nice and gave us some good recommendations!

This unique tiny house is set in a beautiful area, very private and quiet. The basic kitchen has a sink, small fridge and a few utensils. An outside shower (on the porch) is a surprising delight with hot water. No indoor bathroom but the outhouse is the cleanest I've ever seen and has a great view! My husband and I loved staying here. We are pretty old and the sleeping loft was a bit difficult to climb into but sleeping was comfortable. The sauna looked interesting but we didn't want to mess with a fire.

Very comfortable and charming cabin in the woods. It feels secluded and the sauna and outdoor shower are very luxurious! We will keep this place in mind for more staycations!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here late into the season, and while the hot water was off, we managed just fine with a propane heater and the wood stove. Host was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Really amazing spot for two people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a bit.

This was such a great spot to end my family's road trip. J's spot is conveniently located to all of what makes the Finger Lakes great. The property was outstanding and exceeded expectations. J effectively communicated expectations and answered all of our questions. J was very accommodating. 15/10 would stay here again.

We had the best weekend getaway at J’s cozy cabin! Such a beautiful area, great recommendations on where to drink and dine in the area and close to Watkins Glen State Park. Very quiet and secluded. perfect for us as we were looking to disconnect and recharge. :)

This cabin is an absolute gem! The host J was super helpful with directions and communication leading up to the stay. The cabin is perfectly appointed with everything you might need and nothing you don’t! The views and the wildlife and the area and the cabin were more than we could have hoped for. We are already looking forward to our next stay! 15/10 would recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at J’s cabin! We plan to make this our go-to getaway a few times a year. When we arrived at the cabin, we walked up onto a sweet porch with a table & chairs to enjoy a drink and the view. We walked inside to a cozy kitchen, perfect for 2. The wood stove was great for staying cozy all afternoon and evening. There is an outdoor shower and stove, we didn’t need to use because we were only there one night, but next time we look forward to staying for a couple of nights in the future. The outhouse was awesome, we really appreciate the composting toilet and steps being taken to reduce septic system waste. The property is beyond beautiful and serene. We felt so rejuvenated after staying here! Cannot wait for the next weekend getaway at J’s!

J’s cottage is above and beyond if you are seeking a true rustic getaway. Lack of service keeps you off the screens and forces you to set yourself in the moment. The wood fire stove, cottage sauna, and outdoor shower were big highlights! We also really enjoyed sleeping in the loft and J was an amazing host. Would highly recommend this for any stay near Watkins Glen!

This is truly a magical cabin the woods - the pictures don’t do it justice! So much craftsmanship went into the site, we really admired all of the details. It was easily accessible (didn’t have to carry our things very far), but felt very private from the road and the main house. Communication with the host was great, and the instructions left in the cabin were very clear. My partner is pretty tall, so he did have to mind his head going up and down the loft ladder, but we were prepared for that. I’m big on hot showers, and there was plenty of hot water for the tub (set on the screened-in porch, which was awesome for enjoying and outdoor shower sans bugs). The location was perfect for us, 7-15 minutes away from the places we came to visit. Our only regret is only spending one night! We would happily stay again.

The cutest little cabin, felt like sleeping in a treehouse in the woods. The cabin had the basics of everything you need, and the host was very attentive. We especially liked the shower in the screened in porch, a true glamping experience.
