Located at the base of the property is The Hub, a cafe, pub, and bike shop featuring sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, salads, wine, all local craft beer and hard cider on tap. Drew Cappabianca, owner of The Hub, purchased the adjacent 210 acres for the purpose of developing a mountain bike park and hiking trail system. The park opened in June of 2018 and is now offering camping as another amenity for outdoor enthusiasts. Come stay, hike, bike, paddle, fish, eat, drink, and relax! Learn more about this land: You are welcome to camp anywhere you would like on Bartonville Mountain's 210 acres,, but you'll probably want to stay near treeline where you can take in a nice view of the Mill Pond and be close to your car. Not far from treeline is The Hub, a cafe, pub, and bike shop that serves as the lodge for local activity. Bathrooms are available to hipcampers during operating hours. The property is also home to professionally built hiking and mountain biking trails that lead to a gorgeous view of Brant Lake, and are free and open to the public. A dock and put-in for car-top boats on Brant Lake is also on the property. Van/RV Camping is available in a spacious (unpaved) parking lot adjacent to the parcel with room for even the biggest campers or vehicles with something in tow.

Hipcamp at The Hub: Bartonville Mtn
Checking in was seamless. Host also allowed us to check in early. As the listing suggests, it’s just a parking lot. It’s a public access parking lot for a trail head so, zero privacy. You are just paying to park overnight. Less amenities than a rest stop. It provides a last resort option for parking if you are hanging around nearby as all of the camping in the surrounding area is super privatized.

My first stop on a 3 month road trip and it was great!! Parking right next to trail and only 1 minute walk to where we camped but it was allowed anywhere within the trails (I believe). Stopped at the Hub for some local cider right in parking lot to the trail and had water access outside building which was nice. Would recommend for cheap, easy camping. Nothing fancy but was all we needed :)

Not a campground: dirty parking lot
Extremely misleading advertising. This is a parking lot attached to a bunch of wilderness. It’s only tent camping, no RV or trailer access. It’s not even on the main Brant Lake, it’s on a dirty pond. We left after one night and paid for proper camping elsewhere, rather than sleep in a parking lot with the drunks pouring out of the bar next door. No refund either.

Drew is a fine host. The camping was simple and convenient and I was lulled to sleep by a bard owl!

The Hub Lot: Exactly what we wanted
Sometimes you just want a quiet place to park... After hiking in the southern Adirondacks, we were shooting up 87 in our 20' van and pulled off for dinner in search of a place to stay. We ended up in Bartonville and had a tasty sandwich at The Hub which caters to hikers, bikers, and paddlers with wholesome food and a casual bar. We ended up staying in the Hub's parking lot for a midweek price of $20 vs. a lot more at local camp sites. The place was dead quiet by 8pm. For those hikers/bikers with time, the Bartonville Mountain trailhead is right there. Next time! In the morning, we were back on 87 in a couple of minutes. Couldn't have been a better stay. Props to Drew and crew.

The RV site is just the parking lot but the pond across the street and the backdrop of the mountain were pleasant. Little road noise at night. Drew was very responsive and helpful! We did the Jack and Jill hike right behind the Hub and had a great time. A little muddy but an excellent view of Brant Lake at the top!

Nice & Convenient Camping
Wonderful spot and a gracious host. Tent camping just a 2-minute walk from your car. The HUB is a cool homevbase in this tiny hamlet surrounding a little lake. Very convenient. The HUB has a few beers on tap along with some food. Benches to sit and eat by the lake are a nice bonus. Would certainly return.

Cute area around lakefront lot
It was great staying right in the Horicon community, with Brant Lake right out your front door and an awesome trail behind the lot!

Drew was great during the whole process. Just know that the pond is not a place where you can just bath privately since it’s in the middle of town.

This was a great spot for us to camp! The spot to set up the tent is up a short (like 50m) hike so it's a bit off the road but near where you park (which is a parking lot next to the Hub). It's close enough to be extremely convenient but also secluded enough to make it feel very private.

This site is good if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep at night and that’s about it. We stayed during the busy Labor Day weekend and felt like we were at a zoo with all the hikers coming past the site while on the trail nearby and seeing our tents there, lots of pointing and questioning us. Like mentioned in other reviews it’s just a parking lot near a trailhead, not private at all. The Hub café and bike shop was very nice though and we ate a good lunch with ice cream there. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to stay more than one night.

For tent campers its a little walk up a hill to a secluded spot. Super level and easy to set up our site. The host was super welcoming and pumped to have us.

It's a business parking lot.
Drew was nice, and we appreciated the last minute booking acceptance. We stayed, and had3 a nice time. The one thing anyone considering this location should know is, it's not a private area. It's literally a parking lot of a business on a busy street, near a busy and quite packed PUBLIC lake. The area is a vacation area, and there were tons of tourists. The photos and description really made it seem like this was private land and that we'd be camping right next to a nice lake that we could fish and kayak in. When we arrived, the traffic and all the people were a huge surprise, as well as the fact that the parking lot was across the street from the lake. So I don't have any criticisms, it was inexpensive, and we used the parking lot to sleep in our van. That's about it. If you're expecting anything more, you will be disappointed.

Backcountry camping steps from town
Drew was great and very responsive! We were getting in late and he made sure we got settled without issue and had a place to rest for the night even though it was a last minute request. While the site was right next to the trail head near the parking lot and a restaurant with bathroom facilities, it felt as if we were deep in the woods. It didn’t bother us a bit but the little bit of road now was the only thing that reminded us we weren’t camping in back country. We loved the location and overall experience. Thank you from the team at Flower Den Retreats

Great little hamlet on a lake. CAmp site was just 50 yards up the hill behind the parking lot. Very quiet. Nice to have the restaurant/bike shops on site. Super convenient stay before doing some high peaks.

Great campsite w/nearby amenities
Drew was friendly and welcoming. The site had plenty of space to set up tents. It was private, close to hiking and mountain biking trails and near a lake with swimming and picnic tables. Being located at the Hub, we were able to easily get sandwiches, ice cream and drinks when we arrived at our campsite in the evening. I definitely plan on returning!

We really enjoyed our quick night at Bartonville Mountain. The Hub is great and Drew was very personable. The only downside to the stay was that we were under the impression that the site would be a little tucked away, but because we were camping out of our camper van and not tent camping, we didn't realize that the RV site was just the parking lot. That being said, the area is incredibly quiet so it wasn't a problem and it's right next to Brant Lake, so it was still a beautiful stay.
