Kingfisher Camp
Nice spot on the river. Saw a platypus and used the kayaks to paddle upstream.
Shower block under construction but useable.
River crossing on causeway...maybe not suitable for anything other than 4wd.
I order wood for a fire and it was there on arrival.
All up a place we will revisit

Kingfisher camp was absolutely amazing, what a perfect place to get away with no interruptions. The piece and quite, the bird life and river what more can you ask for. I have been waiting to camp here for many years now but now we have been here we will be back for sure but for a much longer next time.

Drovers Rest Camp
Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Drovers Rest. Didn't have high hopes for platypus sightings but saw them every morning and afternoon. Great grassy area by the water to relax. Amenities are more than adequate however will be great when the toilet/shower block is finished. Will be back for sure.

Possum Hollow Camp
A beautiful & relaxing camping spot. No issues getting in or out with our caravan. The water was pristine and a bonus having kayaks to paddle up and down the river. A further big bonus was the very clean flush toilet. Well done hosts. Recommend the early morning walk up to the lookout for panoramic views. 5 stars.

Kingfisher Camp
A truely beautiful place.
Just finished our fourth camping trip to Wunglebung- Kingfisher. We camped with family - such a beautiful place to relax, swim and kayak. Kids also rode their bikes, flew kites etc. Sarah has always been very helpful and flexible with our booking. Good firewood available for purchase at a very reasonable cost. The road from Tenterfield is narrow and winding in some places but is quite picturesque and is not difficult- we have a 20’6”caravan - if you take it easy and drive to the conditions. The grass had recently been slashed and the camping area very tidy. We love that hunting and fishing is not allowed - looking after this beautiful environment. It is a beautiful place - we will continue to return. Thank you Sarah and James!

Another great trip to Wunglebung, the river was beautiful as always and there’s new toilet and shower facilities which are huge and clean. The campsites are always clean and tidy and spaced far apart.

Night Watch Camp
Wunglebung magic
A picturesque and tranquil property. Never got sick of just looking at the river, hills and surrounds.
Great swimming, nice walk up to sunset hill. Campsites well maintained with shade and privacy, toilet nice and clean.
Sarah most helpful in suggesting a site to meet our needs.
Our staffy loved the camp spot too.

Wunglebung Night Watch
Night Watch Camp is a beautiful part of the country. It's peaceful, scenic and with the river right next to the site it is relaxing and a great place to swim.
We had the best time there and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone for a fabulous experience in the country.

Kookaburra Camp
Wow. What a slice of paradise! After a “rocky” start crossing the creek, popping a tyre. We were happily greeted by Sarah who then sent 2 of the guys to help us out changing the tyre, which was must appreciated. The drop toilet was the cleanest we’ve ever come across, and the place itself is just magical. We will be back!

Ssssh. Don’t tell anyone about it.
Such a great spot. Drovers Rest is a little further away from the other spots at Wunglebung, but gives you the peace and quiet while still knowing there are people around.
We enjoyed it so much we are booking again for another trip.

I love camping at Wunglebung, the farm atmosphere with cattle roaming, platypus and turtles in the river, bird life. The quiet nature and privacy makes it serial. We enjoy the peace and nature experience, swimming and canoeing in the river. There is ample space for each campsite to enjoy themselves without disturbing others.

Majestic
What an amazing property!! Sarah has laid out the red carpet for all of her guests. It was so peaceful exactly what we were looking for. We could see other campsites, but couldn’t hear them. Sunset Hill was so romantic and the view was breathtaking. We were even lucky enough to see the platypus and a couple of friendly kangaroos. Watching the cows and there calf’s going up and down the mountain singing out to one another was just the icing on the cake. There was nothing else you could ask for. Just pull up kick back and enjoy 😊

Drovers Rest Camp
A little remote but well worth it.
The road in to the property is quite challenging for anyone towing a big caravan so allow plenty of time and take it slowly. From our camp site at Drovers it was a long walk to use the phone (no mobile service) or internet wifi service so we would have preferred to camp on the other side of the creek where it also had a larger & flatter area to park our 2 caravans. Take a shovel - lots of cow manure to shift from camp sites so you do not step in it when walking around your camp. Other than that it is a lovely place to camp, we saw platypus, birds, kangaroos and lots of other wildlife. The camp hosts are lovely, welcoming and friendly. The toilet facilities were convenient and clean. We used the kayaks and enjoyed paddling up and down the creek.

Great place, loved the morning greetings from the cows. Spotted the family of platypus late in the afternoon. Plenty of bird life too. Cruised up and down the river in the kayaks. Plenty to see and do, as well as relax and watch all the wildlife go by.

Beautiful spot with total privacy. It’s a good drive in & quicker via Drake if coming from the east but winding & dirt so slow going.

Camping to switch off
Amazing clean toilets for non flushing very impressed! The shower in the horse float was a great experience also and the shower was hot every time which was great when it was chilly in the morning and nights. Extremely friendly owners managed to meet Sarah and her boy both were very polite. Great spot near the lake. No service but really enjoyed the switch off from normal life will definitely be returning the only negative was the cows would come very close to site especially at around 5am and we’re hard to shoo away but didn’t bother me that much
