Peaceful & private
Alex was such a brilliant host! He made sure we were comfortable and let us enjoy new experiences on the farm. The site was lovely and secluded, right on the river front. The rope swing into the river made for a bit of fun and there's a little walking track down to some rapids. All round highly recommend Knownrock Farm!

Experienced 4wd access only
Overall we had a great time at Knownrock. Alex is a lovely host, and very helpful. However the track down to the campground was very muddy and slippery in parts. We made it down ok but had to be towed out, due to the state of the track after rain while we were there. Alex towed us with his tractor. Unfortunately the tractor broke down and we are waiting on it being repaired, to tow our camper trailer out, which is still blocking Alex's private road. We would recommend camping at this site only in good conditions, and not after lots of rain. Perhaps Alex might reconsider encouraging campers who have not visited before, and who do not know the state of the track. I will add to this review when we are able to retrieve our camper trailer.

Great quiet spot for 4wd only
Great spot if you love a good 4wd in and out, don’t attempt without the right equipment. Probably not the best spot with little kids as river banks are fairly steep. Alex is super friendly and so is his dog Jodie. We left one day early as we didn’t trust the crazy La Niña to get out our trailer back out. Perfect if you want to chill out with no reception. Thanks for the delicious tomatoes and spuds - turned them into a delicious meal ;)

Peace and privacy
Good little private spot on the river, with a tight, steep track in. Unfortunately high floodwaters meant the river was less accessible during our visit, but imagine it would be a great spot to swim and fish. Alex was a great host, leaving us to peace and quiet and checking in if we needed any supplies on a trip to town. Nice spot!

Knownrock was a great little site. We saw heaps of birds and other wild life, the river was great to swim in and the rope swing was fun. Definitely bring a kayak if you have one theres plenty of exploring to do on the river. There was not a great deal of fire wood but Alex did say there was more at the house and we had enough to get through. Alex was a good host even offered us dinner!
