Property is 5 acres on private shared road. Use of well and wood-burning sauna, and deck and furniture of our tiny home included. Outhouse on site. Centrally located on the North Shore and surrounded by Superior National Forest - - 20 minutes from both Grand Marais and Tofte. Near snowmobile trails, Superior Hiking Trail, Lutsen town, Fika Coffee shop, grocery store, two maple syrup properties, mountain bike and fat bike trails, hiking and xc ski trails. Minutes from Caribou and Ward Lakes. Check out the new world class Jackpot MTB single-track trails!Secluded, private, and quiet camping spot on the North Shore. Set on 5 acres in the woods above Lake Superior. No tolerance for parties or noise. We have neighbors, and this is the North woods. Get rest for your daytime activities. Look at the stars! Listen to the sounds of silence. International Dark Sky Sanctuary. Price includes wood for the wood-burning sauna and fire ring.

On leash. Just opened site to pets. Reluctantly. Barking dogs will spoil this option for future guests. Please keep pets leashed and safe from bears, wolves, foxes, eagles, coyotes, etc... please also pick up and pack out animal waste. Thank you.

No campfires

Current ban on camp fires in Lake and Cook County as of Oct 2024. Fires allowed when ban not active in country.

Playground available

Playgrounds all around in the woods. Two human-made playgrounds in Lutsen.

No potable water

No showers

Bathe in lake. We regularly swim in Caribou Lake near boat launch. Quiet spot by White Sky Rock trail parking. Water is perfect temperature!

We really enjoyed our time here, it rained on our last day and we had the sauna lit for a perfect rainy day. Ample space for a tent, and having the porch to set our stove on and cook off of was really nice as well. We would stay here again!

We had a great time camping here. Came with firewood and a great fireplace. Also a very cool sauna although we did not use it. Great location close to a lot of great hiking and sites to see. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay! Patrick was very responsive and helpful. Site is very nice, clean, and quiet. Saw the northern lights and enjoyed the awesome wood sauna. Will definitely stay again!

Tent

We had a great time camping on Patrick's land. Directions to the site were clear and helpful, and bathroom facilities were excellent for the location. There was plenty of space for our 3 person tent, but with a larger tent things would have gotten tight.
