It had a very pretty, open area for tents and vehicles, very close to river, and the host was very responsive. Good fishing opportunities and a nice fire ring/ grill and outhouse. And it felt secluded! I will definitely come again!

Randy's spot on the Betsie River was truly perfect. It was a great, quiet place in the woods with plenty of open space for a camper, tent, and yard games. We really appreciated that the open space was grass and not sand or dirt like many camp spots end up being. Randy was incredibly helpful when a small problem came up and took the time to make sure everything was 100% perfect. We would highly recommend this space and would love to come back next year.

The sight is amazing with a large grassy area, nice fire pit, and is private. We enjoyed our stay and Randy was quick to respond to our question. We stayed in a travel trailer and it was an easy time leveling and setting up. The river is not visible from the campsite or very easy to access. However, there is a spot to fish or put in close by.

We had a great stay here on Randy’s site. He was very prompt in responding to messages regarding any questions we had. Site is very secluded with a nice large pit (and grate) for cooking. There are also nice size bundles of wood for sale on site. We will definitely be back!!

We really enjoyed our trip on Randy's land. Beautiful spot. Quiet, private. Water and electrical were a great addition. It was hot and humid so we were able to run our campers air conditioning. Our dogs had plenty of open space to enjoy. Short walk to the river and caught a couple trout. I would definitely recommend.

Quiet week in the woods

This site is great! The gravel pad was pretty level and having electricity AND water out In a secluded area is wonderful. There is the owners cottage through the woods, but the site is still quite secluded. The river is down the hill and the access has a somewhat clear area. The host was quick to help out when we had a minor issue. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful weekend with the dogs

Had a wonderful time camping on Randy's land in our camper. There was plenty of room for the dogs to hang out and it was private and quiet all weekend. The fire ring has a grate to cook on that can be taken off and was super handy all weekend. We ended up eating every meal on the fire! The dogs loved laying in the sun or the shade, or taking a walk down to the river. We stayed in early May, so there was a lot of mosquitos. Be advised to bring your bug spray! Very few ticks, even when the dogs were rolling in the leaves. There are a few gas stations/markets near by, and lots of places to hike. There are no established trails on the campsite, but the woods is maintained enough to walk around down the deer-paths. There are bats and owls at night and it was a lot of fun to hear and watch them around the campsite. All and all, a wonderful stay and I would stay again. Keep the photos of the site and driveway handy! It was easy to find with those at the ready. If you're thinking of camping here, its definitely worth it! very peaceful and beautiful.

We enjoyed the large site nestled in the woods with all its amenities! It was pretty wet and rainy, so we didn’t walk to the river. We were content sitting and taking in the sights and sounds. We were happy to see that Randy had bundles of dry firewood for sale at the site.(Venmo/Cash box) It was a peaceful place to spend the weekend!

We stayed on Randy’s land for a night while visiting the area and needed a place between Sleeping Bear Dunes and Silver Lake. Nice spot that’s private and beautiful views with an easy walk to the river. We appreciated the camp fire wood for sale for a nominal fee (payable cash or Venmo). Bathroom was convenient as well as the water spigot that’s available. Electric is available also but we didn’t need it. We would stay here again. Randy was very nice and responsive.

We loved camping at Randy’s land. The spot is private and secluded indeed. The river is very close to the camping site with a private wood leading to it. We camped with our RV and used the water and electricity. Randy was super easy to talk to, quickly responding any questions or concerns. Will definitely go back!

Our family had a great time camping on Randy’s land. It is a beautiful spot in the woods. There is plenty to do in the area. It’s also a great place to hangout at camp. The stars are amazing at night. We appreciated the electric and water hookups as well as the picnic table and grill for the fire pit. We will definitely be back!

It’s a wonderful place for privacy, which seems to be hard to find. Nice large grassy area with some shade. Randy was very helpful and quick to respond. We will definitely be coming back!

Camping on Randy's land was great. Perfect for our family. Was private and well kept. He even had some amenities like a cooking crate, picnic table, patio table and chairs, out house and water and electric hook up. Very nice land, had a wonderful time.

We recently stayed 4 days at Randy’s camp site. One of the standout features is the incredible level of privacy. The campsite is spacious, isolated and surrounded by woods. We were particularly impressed with how quiet the site was. The campsite is equipped with a private fire pit, grate to bque on, outdoor patio set and picnic table all of which were well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Randy clearly put a lot of care into creating a space that feels inviting, comfortable while maintaining a rustic charm. There are many lakes around this Area and only about 45 minutes from the Sleeping Bear Dunes. We definitely will be back!

We stayed with our camper and couldn’t have been happier. The site is gorgeous, spacious private and it’s a nice short walk down to the betsie river. A lot of excellent fishing opportunities nearby. This was our first time using Hipcamp and we will DEFINITELY be staying at this site again. Thank you thank you to the wonderful host

It was an amazing quiet and very well kept private campground with areas for tents, cooking over the fire and relaxing. The best part is there was running water and a quick walk to a beautiful section of the betsie river loaded with trout. Definitely plan on going back.

Randy was thoughtful, respectful and helpful. Our site was almost like a dream site for us. Grass covered location, surrounded by big trees and near the Betsie River- where I fished and caught a few. Located near the Iron Fish Distillery too! We took day trips to Frankfort and Sleeping Bear Dunes where we biked. This site was all we would have wanted in a camp experience.

The property was beautiful and well-maintained. Our host was super helpful with directions and nearby activities!
He even left an electric converter, which was very thoughtful as we traveled in our Camper Van.
We will definitely book this site again and stay for more than one night next time!

This was a beautiful secluded property surrounded by woods and nature. The river was indeed down the hill, we found it easiest to cut across from the outhouse to the two track trail and down to the river. Plenty of space on the camping pad for our 32ft motorhome, was additional space for a separate vehicle had we brought one. Plenty of space in the lawn area of campsite for tent camping. No other renters while we were there but there is a cabin also located at the property separate but visible from the campsite. Host was excellent at providing area info and answering our questions prior to arrival!
