I had a great experience with Gail, she was super nice and helpful. Their place was beautiful and I felt very safe. I had a very nice and peaceful rest.
I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Gail was very communicative and helpful in meeting us upon arrival. She was responsive to questions and in sharing their beautiful Camp David.
The site was well situated overlooking beautiful fields. The sunset and sunrise were both enjoyed. There was only a short walk to the restroom.

Gail & Dave’s spot was perfect! No frills quiet simple wonderful place to stay! Gail met us the evening we arrived gave us all the info we needed and wished us well in the morning! Would definitely stay again!

Gail was a lovely hostess! She made sure I had all the info I needed to camp comfortably. I had a nice, flat space to set up my tent with shade in the morning, but full sun the rest of the time. Each site was visible from the others, but it was a quiet community of folks. I had a fire ring, and Gail brought a milk crate packed full of seasoned firewood, kindling (including a bundle of newspaper) and a bucket of water for $5. The port-o-potty was easily accessible, there was trash and recycling available on-site and a hose for filling my water bottle and having a pseudo outdoor shower (just out in the open!). The land was well maintained, very easy to find, and everything was accessible.

This is the first time I used a "Hipcamp" reservation. What a smooth process. Gail was so kind and on top of things. She communicated so well. As for the actual camp spot, it was beautiful, quiet and a great get away. We originally planned on sleeping in a Walmart parking lot- this was a much better option!

They are close to Traverse City and they had the option of having 30 amp service. Very friendly and helpful and you can purchase wood on site.

Highly recommended.
Had a little confusion late at night when another camper had parked in our spot and the owner immediately came out and facilitated a calm rearrangement. Also the firewood service was great.

We were only there one night, but it was nice. They are great communicators! Outhouse was very smelly and hot, but other than that no complaints.

Our family loved our week-long stay at Camp David! Gail and Dave were a pleasure to visit with. They were both so sweet to our kids. Dave even hid some coins when he learned our son was out with his metal detector looking for things. They make us want to move and be next door neighbors with them, that’s how great they are.
Aside from amazing hosts, the property is great too! We had an easy time getting in and out with our 43’ 5th wheel. Quiet and peaceful stay. Beautiful sunsets!

My daughter and I came to just reconnect and get some much needed rest without distractions. We camped on the treeline above the field. We had plenty of room to set up a 8 person tent and large gazebo. No one was too load and everyone was just enjoying the 4th of July holiday. Gail and David were wonderful. Gail was very attentive to our needs and always smiling. We spent 4 days and is about 15 min drive to Traverse City which is why we chose this spot.I felt very comfortable at this site and would definitely book again. We had a excellent time. Hats off to Gail and David!

Gail is a super nice lady who communicated promptly from booking through departure.
She gave us clear arrival instructions and we had the best space for our tent on her land. It was open and had a nice view.
The site is close to town which made attending the Cherry Festival quite easy.
We enjoyed our four nights at Camp David and think that it might have been our best camping experience.

We loved this property so much! It was super quiet and off the grid. I wish we could have tented both nights but there was some nasty weather coming. The tent site we had was super level and under some beautiful pine trees! Just a short walk to a portable toilet which was amazing clean! Gail was an amazing hostess and we would come back in a heartbeat if back in the area!

We had a great time camping at Gail and Dave's! The host we're very nice, accommodating and helpful. Wood for sale and water available. The site was gorgeous, the outhouse was clean and even had a light for nighttime. We woke up to see the deer right outside, my toddler loved it and just thought it was the coolest thing. We had an event to go to in Traverse City and could not beat the location and price. We will be back!

We loved our stay! Gail & Dave were amazing camp hosts and went above and beyond for us. We woke up to a dead car battery and Dave drove out to jump start us. Our site was on top of a hill with a great view of an open field where we watched a family of deer dance around before sunset. Very quiet and close to the VASA trails.
