"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Enjoy access to a small farm that includes fainting goats, chickens, emu, rabbits, and more. Bring your pole and try your luck at some catch and release fishing. Enjoy viewing numerous types of wildflowers, birds, and butterflies. Depending on the season, (and how quietly you walk the trails) you may experience a wide variety of wildlife species. Although we don't allow motorized ATVs, you are welcome to bring a golf cart. Most of the trails are improved enough to allow you access. Absolutely NO hunting allowed on the property. The property is located just (5) miles off I-75 so it's also a convenient mid-trip destination for those on a longer distance excursion. In case you plan on fishing the local hotspots on Lake Huron (15 minutes away) and are trailering a boat, there is plenty of area to park your rig during your stay. It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Also nearby is the "Saganing Eagles Landing Casino" in Standish. We have resided here for over 30 years and can assist you in many ways to get the most out of your visit. By the way, the definition of the word "Elysium" is "Place of perfect bliss" and yes, we labeled it that long before the movie with Matt Damon was created.

Enjoy the beautiful Northern-Michigan woods at the secluded "Vine Camp". Pitch a tent or park your camper and enjoy all the flora and fauna. The site has a picnic table and a custom fire ring. Take advantage of 120 acres of hiking trails, a large pond stocked with catch and release fish and a canal for kayaking. If you'd like to check out "Elysium Heritage Farm", take a short hike where you'll find fainting goats, rabbits, chickens, emu and pigeons. PLEASE NOTE: This site has no electricity or running water. A stocked outhouse is near the site. Plan to bring potable water, solar chargers for phones, headlamps/lanterns, eating utensils, cookware and other camping essentials. This is truly all about connecting with nature and finding some relaxation.

This location has everything for those who love the farm life and the outdoors. The campsite is located near our fainting goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits and pigeons, and next door to a large pond available for catch and release fishing. Go from hiking our 120 acres of beautiful secluded woods and wetlands, to kayaking down the canal. This site is behind our guest house, with custom made barn wood walls and privacy fence to help seclude your stay. Because this site is closest to the farm animals, you'll most likely see us out and about during feeding times. Your site has a custom-built covered picnic table, a custom fire ring, an LP gas grill, and a 30-amp outlet for electric needs. PLEASE NOTE: This site has no running water. There is an outlet for electricity. There is a stocked shed with a compostable toilet. There is a travel center nearby that has convenient private showers (please refer to the pictures) for a small fee. Potable water is provided. Expect to bring eating utensils, cookware, headlamps, and other camping essentials.

"Valley Camp" is located up front near our critter farm and has easy access from the road. It's also very close to the pond. Campers that stay here are allowed all the privileges that "Elysium" offers. It is especially convenient for travelers that would only want to spend (1) night with us.

"The Cabin"

The cabin is located toward the back of the 120 acres of property. It has one large room with a kitchen area, a wood burning stove, a sleeper sofa and a dining table. There's a separate bedroom and a separate covered porch/sunroom. You'll also find a pond-side gazebo where you can dock a kayak or canoe. A covered picnic table and gas grill are situated between the cabin and a large firepit. The outhouse is a short distance from the front door. The cabin is suited with ample furniture, a gas stove, utensils and board games. Take a walk through the trails and enjoy the natural splendor created by mature trees, native plants, unique wetlands, ponds, canals and of course, a large variety of wildlife. If you take a hike to the front of the property you'll find "the farm" where you can visit fainting goats, chickens, rabbits, and more. Take a 10-minute drive into town where you'll find a grocery store, party stores, multiple cheese shops, Northwood's Wholesale Outlet, numerous restaurants, and even a casino. PLEASE NOTE: This site has no electricity or running water. If you need electricity a generator may be provided for a fee. Firewood is available for a fee. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and dishes.

My husband and I came for a relaxing weekend. This is our first camping trip using this app and we are so happy we ended up at Kim’s! We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere and like we were the only ones there! It was exactly what we were looking for with so many perks! Beautiful trails to spend the day walking in, ponds, and the animals!!! And yet we were so close to stores incase anything is forgotten! Such a great time we can’t wait to come back :)

This was a beautiful spot and the owners are amazing, they have really put some hard work into this spot, beautiful sites and tons to explore! I had the pleasure of getting a tour of all the baby animals and what each building means to these owners. Such a special place, 100% recommended to stop by and explore this wonderful property during this camping season. We stayed at the vine camp with our off grid set up and it was a great weekend, we rode our bikes down to the main farm, we canoed down the canal and we were supplied with firewood to keep a fire going the whole weekend! Thank you guys again and we look forward to many more adventures here!

Where do I even begin, this was hands down the best hip camp I've ever stayed at, and I've been at quite a few across the US!!! Our host Kim was absolutely amazing. Literally from the minute we pulled in she was waiting for us at the gate until the time we left when we we had a conversation with her and her husband around a bonfire this morning. The experience was so natural and just full of surprises. There are plenty of trails and little ponds to go look at or even go catch a few fish in the big pond. Our host even offered us use of there kayaks and paddle boat. There are lots of different farm animals there from ducks to Emus, we even got to see a goat be born the first night there.

You can tell that Kim has put lots of time and love into creating her space - so appreciated the sand on the site, the kids loved playing in it and if it was a little warmer I would have loved walking barefoot in it! The outhouse was the absolute cutest, nicest outhouse I have ever had the pleasure of using. There was lots of space to explore and we had great luck fishing in the lake. From the site you could hear the highway when all else was quiet.

5/5 stars for our stay at Kim's beautiful getaway! Maybe an odd thing to lead with, but it had absolutely the nicest outhouse I've ever been in, and it just shows how much pride the owners have in their property. The tent site is covered in sand which makes tent staking a breeze. Other lovely touches: a tablecloth on the picnic table, an extra table for food prep, trees for hammocks, firewood in a covered box, an adjacent property with bird sanctuary and pond with kayaks. Short drive to area nature sites and beaches. Will definitely be back!

Staying at vine camp was everything I’d hoped for and so much more! I came as a solo camper and Kim was so friendly and happy to talk to me about the farm. She even saved the day when my car battery was dead in the morning. Not to mention the property I spent hours walking about and still didn’t get to all the trails. Surrounded by beautiful wetlands. So many adorable animals on the farm and wildlife around. My stay couldn't have been any better I only wish I could come back sooner.

Took our family of 5 to Elysium and our 3 young boys are already asking when we can go back! It was everything the listing described and more. They enjoyed hours upon hours of catching bluegill and perch in the pond, one after the other. The hosts were very kind as well. We’re definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Absolutely beautiful retreat! Private wooded camping site with adorable outhouse. We arrived around 7pm and Kim surprised us with our camp fire burning to welcome us. The next morning we wandered endless forest trails finding new areas to explore around every corner. Small ponds, wandering canals, covered bridge, adorable goat paddocks, friendly hens, comical emus, tiny beaches, etc. There is something for everyone but it was just perfect for what we needed. Thank you Kim & Jeff; we loved our stay.

Our second stay here didn’t disappoint. So relaxing and quiet. Love sitting next to the fire Listening to absolutely nothing but the rustling of the leaves. Taking walks visiting with the animals. We can’t wait to come back next year!

We had the best time camping at Vine camp! The farm animals were so cute and the property is just stunning! My pup is not a fan of strangers and the campsite was super private and quiet! The owners are also very friendly and accommodating, and the outhouse was surprisingly clean! I will absolutely be staying here again!

The farm is gorgeous — over 100 acres of peaceful, open land with amazing views of the stars and moon at night. I got to hang out with deer, goats, emus, cats, and dogs!! Kim, the host, is one of the most gracious and welcoming people you’ll ever meet. She really takes care of her guests and makes sure you have everything you need. Customer service? Chef’s kiss. It’s private, quiet, and just beautiful all around. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature and animals!!!! 5 stars!!

This was a spectacular campsite - we booked a last-minute camping trip with friends and this little forest & farm were exactly what we needed. Woke up to farm fresh eggs, coffee over the fire and then did a little farm walk followed by mushroom foraging on the property (found some awesome species!). Kim was so helpful and welcoming, she even helped up hose off our muddy dog after a spill lol. She told us of some planned additions to the land that they’re working on and I’m very excited to come back and see the projects in full swing. Hipcamp never fails to lead us to awesome sites with interesting folks that are generous enough to share them with us - this is another one for the book!

Perfect Place to Propose!

I booked the farm camp for me and my then girlfriend, now fiancée for a weekend tent camping trip. It was our first camping trip together and the farm camp had plenty of amenities. The composting toilet was very clean, the covered picnic bench and fire grill was all we really needed for food, but there was a grill available for us it use as well. There were plenty of chairs too! The only thing missing was a shower but we used the BP gas station for showers. Only cost $5 per shower. There was tons of trails to walk down and if you love animals there were all sorts of critters to see. The pigeon cages are right next to the farm camp and you can hear them softly cooing from the camp if you listen carefully. There were a couple kittens, tons of chickens, some ginormous rabbits, and my favorites were the friendly goats! The campsite was extremely private. Those that are looking for a romantic getaway should strongly consider this place!
