Vintage memories on the waterfront
My wife and I had an amazing experience for our second wedding anniversary. We flew to Boston from Portland Oregon and the whole process was extremely smooth. The accommodations on the property were spectacular and extremely warm/inviting. Would highly recommend looking at booking this location for a quiet getaway!

Birthday Camping Trip
Absolutely stunning! I am a traveling nurse coming from Florida. Although the ocean has my soul, the mountains, hiking and fresh water has taken my full attention! I’ve been in Boston for about 3 weeks and decided to rent a cabin and camp with my 13 year old son for my birthday weekend.
It was awesome. Patricia really went out of her way in fine detail to ensure we had an amazing camping experience. She put up a little tent by the lake with binoculars included in case my son wanted to camp in a tent. Provided a s’mores candy bar, kurig coffee cups, toiletries and even offered us full access to her beautiful lake house a few doors down at no extra cost!
The properties include several canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and even a paddle boat! The lake was just stunning to take the boats on. Hands down a wonderful experience… I will definitely be returning!

Extreme safety concern
When we arrived, we were informed by Patricia that her friends have access to the property and often enter, ignoring the “no vacancy” signs she has posted. The door does not securely lock, nor do the windows, so keeping safe from any friends intending harm is impossible. She didn’t think it was a big deal that her friends would come and go from the property at any time regardless of if guests were staying there. We did not stay longer than 15 min before we left to find more safe lodging for the night.

Very unique, comfortable cabin! great property for hanging out with friends or family! canoes, fire pit, lounge chairs, everything you’d want for a lakefront stay! great breeze, GREAT host!! very accommodating while giving space, allowing us to check out at a later time. We will be coming back in the beginning of fall to enjoy the cool nights and the wood stove inside the house! thanks!!

The cabin was very cozy, and the location was perfectly secluded on the lake. Patricia's kindness and hospitality were also above and beyond anything I could've hoped for. She was always available if I needed anything and went way out of her way to help solve a mistake I made and to mail me a pair of glasses I left behind.
I would absolutely recommend this HipCamp to anyone and stay here again someday!

Unfortunately the site was very close to both neighbors and seemed to both be out ..:wasn’t expecting no privacy. I left a day early…if you want privacy this is not the place. Also may want to bring holy water…that’s all I’ll say. Would never go back

Easy Escape!
We live only 35 minutes away from this quaint little site but it felt like a completely different world. Our dog was able to roam freely, the trail around the pond was easy yet picturesque, the indoor and outdoor wood fireplaces kept us busy, warm and relaxed. Finally Patricia was a delightful host, responsive, and nice to interact with.
We'll be back, that's for sure!

This was one of my favorite experiences at a hipcamp ever - Patricia was such an amazing host, she communicated well ahead of, during, and after the trip. She helped us out when we blew a circuit breaker and gave us a tour of her other space nearby.
I had let her know during our communication before the trip that it was my partner’s birthday weekend that we were celebrating and she set up a happy birthday banner, left us a cake and candles, and even set up rose petals and Hershey kisses on the bed for us.
The space itself is so cozy and comfortable. Patricia had a fire going when we arrived, so it was nice and toasty in the cabin. She also had plenty of wood and kindling ready for us so we could keep it warm throughout the weekend.
I can’t wait to come back in the summer - would highly recommend this space!

Awesome little cabin with your own lake!! Patty was great! One of the best hosts I’ve had from Hip Camp. 15 min from Boston yet it feels like your in the middle of the wilderness at home. Definitely going to be going back!!

Wonderful location right on the water with its own private beach! Easy commute to Boston and the surrounding area. Cute personal touches on the house that made it nice and cozy. Patricia was very communicative and helpful! I definitely recommend. Very Dog Friendly!

Perfect lake oasis outside Boston!
Very Cozy, cute and comfortable! The view is absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. There were kayaks, paddle boards, a canoe and water floats to enjoy splashing around in the lake. A fire pit outside and a wood stove inside to keep you warm anywhere you go! The owner put so many personal details and love into every corner. My wife and our 2 dogs had more than enough room for all of us. The true “glamping” experience! Only a 30 minute ride into the city! Would definitely stay here again!!
The only downside to this property is the water pressure was pretty much non existent, which the owner did warn us about prior. Definitely bring a large thing of water.

Great getaway near by (for us!)
What a great spot! It’s on its own baby beach with comfortable chairs and a lovely view! The bed was very comfortable, the space was cute and quirky, and Patricia provided everything we needed. We we’re on the water in the morning and afternoon with a lunch outside in between. We cooked our dinner over the fire and she supplied stuff for s’mores. Which was a super treat bc I would never have bought it myself. And that’s what treating yourself is all about! So thank you for everything!
The kitchen was totally sufficient with a very cold and good size new fridge. Toaster oven, regular and keurig coffee pots, new microwave, some utensils and plates and cups. The water pressure is low, and it was nice to have that extra water to do the dishes. And you’d never know it was so near the city.

This camper/cabin set up on the lake is absolutely adorable! Patricia is also extremely lovely and helpful for anything you may need. My pup and I loved this space, the lake, the stars at night under the fire, and great hiking in the Blue Hills only 10 min away. Awesome glamping experience!

Glamping at a cozy cabin/camper
Fantastic spot if you like to glamp. The hybrid camper/cabin is spacious enough to accommodate a family of 2 adults and a small child. Our party included 3 adults, a child and a dog. Patricia was very communicative and extremely accommodating. We were upgraded to accommodate our needs to a bigger cottage that had all the amenities.. The host was amazing and very thoughtful in leaving all kinds of goodies for the adults as well as the children. She was very responsive and really understanding. The little cabin had all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was small as expected and the shower was a trickling shower and definitely not for those seeking a "hotel style shower". It was certainly a decent, cozy cabin that included a beach, dock, tubes, kayak, canoe, paddleboat, paddleboard and so much more.
The kitchen had a small fridge, toaster, 1 burner plate, Keurig, regular coffee maker and all the utensils needed for cooking and prepping meals. There were so many things to do and enjoy that we only left once to grab ice cream at target (only 5 minutes away). My daughter loved finding all the small animals and gems left all over the beach. I would definitely recommend and am already planning a future stay. Patricia is an amazing host!! Who knew this gem was hidden in Massachusetts and only 10 miles away from Boston. Perfect relaxing and a very quiet retreat.
