Camping at beautiful peace farm!!
Camping at peace rescue was one of the best decisions we ever made! We spent 3 days there for a bacherollete party and could have never left! The animals are friendly, ric the host is absolutely amazing and very accommodating, and the land is beautiful and serene. If you want simplicity and to get away to retreat into the woods this is the place for you. The money Ric raises goes back into taking care of his rescues (so awesome!) Also you can get to town within 10 minutes if necessary. There is running water and a shower which is a huge bonus!!! We will definitely be back!!

Once In A Lifetime Experience
Peace Farm Review
As a previous guest mentioned, Peace Farm Rescue is not for everyone.
Keep in mind, this space is a peaceful rescue for the animals - you are a guest of them. Here are a few reasons you may not be the best fit for Peace Farm -
If you are looking for complete peace and quiet, absolute solitude, look elsewhere because upon arrival, you will be greeted by Ric, at least one boisterous dog, a cacophony of goats, chickens, ducks, and geese, and a pair of roosters who have no sense of time (try complete dark at 3:30 am), and they will be your companions your entire stay. If you are a light sleeper and would be irritated by being woken up at sunrise by the animals mentioned above, if you would be annoyed by aforementioned goats helping themselves to your, well, anything they can get their mouths on if you leave it there, or if you’re not big into flies dive bombing your head if you forget to put on peppermint oil (hint, hint), Peace Farm will not be a good fit.
If you enjoy being surrounded by a farm of animals who have access to the entire property, like having a chatty neighbor with amazing stories, if you believe in the magikal power of healing crystals and would love the opportunity to hike a mountainside and find the crystal that calls out to you, pull it out of the ground with your own two hands, carefully wash it and know that it is already charged, blessed, powered by the magikal mountains on the property - look no further.

Great time.
Rick was magical. We arrived late and he was most accommodating. He is a gracious host. He cut up wood for us and fixed the bedding late at night. The animals were fun and friendly. The land is healing and peaceful. Highly recommend.

Great experience! Loved all the goats, chickens and geese. Great camping areas, trails and the cabin was super convenient. Very cool piece of land.

True peace can be found here.
We had such a wonderful stay here and found it hard to leave to go back to the city after waking up to all the sights and sounds of the farm. Richard was a great host who was sure to check in and see if there was anything we needed. He showed us the walking paths along his property were, where we saw a bountiful of beautiful ferns and wildflowers. Our children enjoyed the large field where they tossed a ball with dad and flew their kite. Just beware of the mischievous goats who will sample your toiletries if you forget to close the bathroom door, as we found out! Thank you again for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! We look forward to staying with you again in the near future!

A nice location.
I really enjoyed my stay. Ric is very friendly and clearly loves to share his bucolic setting. It may not be for everyone, though. There are a lot of goats, chickens, dogs, roosters, ducks, etc. and when I arrived, they were making quite a racket. I was concerned about the noise level, but they quieted down by evening and it wasn't a problem. The Hawley trail system is just down the road and is a great place to hike. I stayed in my van, but you can choose to stay in a small, rustic old mining cabin or in a tent that's on the property.
