Absolutely wonderful stay 🖤
We had an amazing time staying on Amina‘s land. The Chesapeake was beautiful, we did tons of swimming, wading, and crab watching. The site had everything you really need and as folks who have stayed at 8-10 Tentrrs and similar, we can say thoroughly that this is one of the better sites we’ve ever stayed up in terms of natural beauty. Keep your eyes peeled for the bald eagle pear who hang out around this cove, not to mention tons of ospreys who will show off their fish catch as they fly over. Amina was super responsive to any concerns. We plan to return!

Beachfront camping bliss!!
This was an amazing experience!! It was our 1st time camping ever. It was a special treat meeting Amina the owner once we arrived. She is such a lovely spirit. She helped us set up our tent. Amina also made sure we were super comfy. The beach was relaxing and serine! The fire pit was easy to mange a added cozy touch to the campground. We felt super safe. We felt at peace. We adored walking up to the beautiful sunrise each morning, along with the soothing sounds of ocean waves rushing. Overall we all love it and will definitely be back. This is now a family tradition for us!!

Great experience each time I’ve gone. Beautiful beach, bird watching, breathtaking sunrises, definitely a great place to reset and reflect on the beauty of nature.

It was our second year
Our group had a nice time. I try to have an open mind when camping at newer designated camping properties so I won't share my concerns as we hope that the improvements shared directly with the owner will be considered.

Impeccable
The space is gorgeous and just what we needed! Our group traveled from ATL, Detroit, NYC, and the DMV to participate in the inviting ambiance of "The MuvaLand". It was so very worth it!
The space was clean, open, and natural! Although there is a port-a-potty on the grounds, it's evident that it is maintained well. Amina's hospitality is inviting, friendly and thoughtful. We love everything about The MuvaLand and we plan to return.
Thank you for the opportunity. We felt safe and created some lasting memories while communing with nature. #OneLove

Camping with family and dog
We loved the tent camping Muvaland and would still recommend to friends. This is our second year visiting.
Pros: We were able to bring the whole family of 12 and Opal our dog.
We were left a few additional pieces of fire wood small tarp grill top
The broom in the bathroom was so helpful in killing the spiders and cleaning the wet floor
We are able to comfortably put up four 6 person tents and one 4 person tent.
Cons: The water was seeming much darker with lots of red seaweed. It made swimming undesirable.
Since last yr the beach has eroded nearly half though you are able to walk further on the northern section of the property.
Bathroom had no light or amenities this quite a different from the first trip
My biggest disappointment was mother nature. During our second day of camping it rained all day.

Camping by the water under the star
Nice, peaceful location seemingly in the middle of nowhere but actually not too far of a drive from the DMV metro area. Loved sleeping and waking up to the sound of the waves and talking over the fire under the stars at night. Look forward to my next trip!

I really enjoyed the secluded private beach it is truly breathtaking. There are solar lights which I thought was such a cute person touch but I did use them. There was a container full of other supplies which was very helpful especially because it rained on us and her tarp was bigger than our so we strung it up over our tent and it kept us dry (we made sure to put it back) We are absolutely coming back and may bring a bigger group but it's a gem!

Still Beautiful
This was our second trip back to this site. Last time we came very early in the year and it was a chilly experience, so this time we planned to show up when it was warm! Needless to say in over the year since we’ve been here, the site is just as beautiful as we remember and there have been some improvements! The updated steps are great and much safer. This time around we had bald eagles watching over the water. Other species of eagles were nose diving into the water to catch fish. The beach was full of sea shells. The calming crashing of the waves made a night of peaceful sleep. Overall, would recommend this camp site to anyone.

Highly recommend, hope to return!
The Muvaland is a gorgeous and wonderfully hospitable site. The space is well-curated and clearly maintained with care and intention - a roomy and practical camping-site (comfortably fit twelve of us) with a relaxing beach-day a step away - amazing vibes and awesome sunrises!
Great for experienced and newer campers - make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, but know that you're not far from multiple grocery stores should you need to make a run. Absolutely recommend and hope to return!!

June 2022
The land looked exactly as it did in some of the pictures – au naturel, and we felt the good energy from previous campers. We arrived after some apparent rain, but the ground was firm and packed. We could see that earlier storms had toppled large trees onto the beach. The tent sites were a decent size, and offered amazing sunrise views, easy access to the beach, a sizable firepit, and we discovered the firepit benches could convert into a bench and tabletop. We happened to be there during the full, super, strawberry moon. If you want to dance in the moon light it will be an unforgettable experience as you get a full view of the moon.
Sightings of dragon flies, butterflies, a variety of birds and marine life added to the enjoyment of our camping time. So glad we had our binoculars. Early morning kayaking was the best as the water was flat and before the sun warmed the area too much.
We would like to book the Muvaland again next year and see what beach improvements have taken place.

One of a kind camping experience
What an amazing place! Plenty of trees for shade, plenty of space so that three generations of campers could spread out and have privacy and the grandkids could run around and explore nature. Dogs loved not having to be tied up and just hanging with the family.
Saw lots of birds: turkeys, eagles, geese. Kids had hours of fun at the beach collecting and scattering shells and rocks and telling stories and playing charades around the campfire. Truly amazing memories. The campsite is primitive, plan on bringing 1-2 gallons of water per person per day for cooking and washing. Do keep your tents zipped up. There are plenty of buggies that call this beach home as well. The porta-potty was sparkling clean and the benches and picnic table were sturdy, ample and useful. As a plus, Elms Beach park nearby was great to take the little ones to enjoy the large playground. So nice not to see the kids on electronics 24/7. They really loved their little adventure vacation.
Major shopping area within 10-15 minute drive. All in all we were blessed by beautiful Spring weather and we enjoyed Muvaland very much ❤️ See you again soon!

Our 2nd visit...even better
This is a family review (2 adults, 1 child under age 12)
Our second visit to Muvaland was even more enjoyable than the first. The weather was high 67/low 55 in mid-November. This time around, at low tide, we experienced calmer waves and more walkable sand area on the beach. Our child was able to collect lots of shells and rocks. We love this magical place and will continue to visit.

Very first-time camper friendly....
This is a group review from a Family of 3. Two adults, 1 child under the age of 12
We found the reviews, pictures and advice from previous campers so helpful. This has inspired us to pay it forward by contributing to the pool of tips.
FIRST-TIME CAMPER FRIENDLY
Among us, only the husband has lots of camping experience (as a youth), so we consider ourselves first-time campers as a family. We aren’t complete amateurs of outdoor life, we just usually leave spaces without pitching a tent. Everything that has been written about Muvaland being a majestic place is spot on with our experience. This space truly feels like someone’s vision on a spiritual level and you feel it.
Cinder blocks, poking stick, fire pit, solar lights, tiki torches, tables, benches…you have everything you need and they’re all arranged intentionally with delightful touches to create warmth.
It’s very cool to see from other photos how the beach (a living, constantly evolving space) changes with the time of year. We hope our mid-October review helps to create a full seasonal portrait.
In addition to water shoes as one of the reviewers suggested, we highly recommend also bringing rain boots if you’re camping during this time of year. It rained lightly our first evening, but the sandy campground quickly absorbed the moisture, so it wasn’t too messy or muddy. However, the ocean swept in a carpet of red seaweed overnight. Having rainboots allowed us to venture through without getting our feet soaked. It was glorious.
MAGIC
We experienced about 10hrs of the sounds of crashing waves through the evening and well into the next afternoon. It’s true that a large bird of prey lives there, likely a bald eagle. Our child found a large feather during one of his independent explorations. It was raining lightly when we arrived and mostly overcast afterwards, so we weren’t sure we’d see any stars at night. By staying up past midnight, we got lucky & saw patches of glitter through the breaks in the clouds. We can only imagine what a clear night sky looks like. There is very little light pollution.
By mid-afternoon the next day, the water was completely calm. So we got to experience both extremes and that was a real treat. Weather was high 73/low 64 on both days, which was perfect to us.
BUGS
We came prepared with citronella incense, bands and a bug zapper expecting mosquitos, but never used them. During our overnight stay, there was only two mosquito bites between the three of us! Considering how most of our time was spent outside the tents, that’s incredible. Be advised though, our first evening there was windy, which made it hard for mosquitos to fly or find us. Come prepared!
With the exception of mosquitos 😊, when it comes to outdoor bugs, we respect their home (huge fans of the doc “Microcosmos”). So the countless encounters we had with the graceful, otherwordly harvestman arachnids (Daddy Longlegs) didn’t bother us. Whenever they curiously inspected our things, we just gave them a gentle blow. They are harmless to people.
FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS/ TRAFFIC / SAFETY
As several reviewers have written, the neighbors are friendly. Although we had zero contact with anyone there during our overnight visit (which was a relief, as we practice social distancing) we felt welcome.
During mid-morning while gazing at the water, we saw a gentleman on his motorboat. We waved and he waved right back. These kind, simple gestures mean so much, especially today.
We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and left Wednesday night, so we got used to the rhythms of traffic. It is a residential area, and the campsite is off their main road, so we saw school buses come and go as you’d expect on a weekday. You have just enough privacy for camping in peace, but are far from secluded.
Do not be deterred by the graffiti on the porta potty. Clearly, Amina has poured so much love and attention into her site, so we imagine it is frustrating to have taggers deface her property. Although we brought our own potty tent, we did peep inside and found it as immaculate as all the reviewers have stated.
As first-time campers, we felt safe and slept peacefully during the night.
We were booked for two nights but slept overnight for one and that’s only because our inflatable sleeping pads were a joke. We made the rookie mistake of not ensuring the most comfortable sleeping surface (D’oh!). Next time, we’ll come better prepared!
That said, we didn’t want to leave this magical place, but left inspired & recharged during our brief stay. We’ve already booked our second visit. Yes, there are many convenient campsites, but nothing like access to a beautiful private beach via a relatively short drive.
Thank you for creating and sharing this charming, spirit-recharging space, Amina!

My kids didn’t want to leave!
This place is the stunning!! It was our first family camping trip and it was beyond wonderful!! The sunrises are incredible!! The way the light dances on the ocean is mesmerizing! We sang songs, and listen to the audio book version of Swiss Family Robison by the fire to really get into the wild adventure island mood! We saw bald eagles fly above the ocean. My husband thinks there’s a nest at the campsite. Maybe the next camper can go on a discovery hunt to confirm this! Oh but the nights! The nights are really where the Muvaland shines!! When the sun goes down the vast night sky fills with stars! You can’t help but gaze in child like wonderment at all those beautiful stars and planets! Make sure to download a stargazing app so you can locate the names of your favorite stars and planets!!
By the end of this incredible experience we were already planning to come back!! My children 6 and 8 didn’t even want to leave! My son said it was the best vacation he ever had! My daughter who had been suffering with nightmares lately slept deeply and peacefully every night! This momma got a much needed reset! Don’t hesitate, go on a book your own private retreat!! You won’t regret it!!

This place is truly surreal. Like being on another planet. Who knew such beauty was only a 2hr drive from Baltimore! Amina is a beautiful land steward who cares for this campground with deep respect - you can tell by the energy that permeates the space. We had plenty of room for 4 cars (an SUV, a sedan, and two camper vans) - probably could have fit another. The fire pit with benches that convert into tables is perfect, as is the wooden swing bench on the beach. Highly recommend bug spray. And don't forget your watermelon for Yemanja 😉

From Philly to Maryland with love
i am honestly speechless! amina was so intentional about he type of space she has created. small touches really made us feel welcomed & there is such a magical atmosphere that invited nothing but good energy and laughter. the campsite is off of a residential road but that was no issue as there was little to no traffic throughout the night. we took a walk and the neighbors were polite. waking up and going to sleep to the sounds of crashing waves was the highlight for me. amina was also very responsive and friendly via text when we had questions. very inspired by this space and we do plan on returning next summer! hoping that we left everything as beautiful as we found it. thank you for everything!
