Canyon View Quarry
Canyon view was very easy to access and great for our overnight stop. The host was easy to communicate with and provided great instructions. What a nice place to stay for a relaxing evening on the road.
This was perfect for us. It’s a spot nestled in a rock quarry and very unique. There is a barn/shed right next to the campfire ring which is pretty nice. We were able to put our chairs under the awning so when we pulled them out in the morning, they weren’t covered in the morning dew.
We typically park our little camper and just really sleep and have a quick fire every night, so this was a great homebase to go into Louisville and other areas around like Jeffersonville. We will definitely be back.
The stay here was great! Having a little clean stable on the property when it started storming was a nice addition, it is right off the interstate and 20 mins from downtown Louisville, very secure with the locking gate, and the host was nice enough to drop off firewood. On the downside, dumb neighbors that let their dog bark half the night and a set of train tracks nearby can be annoying but that is out of their control but I was able to sleep well and enjoyed the stay. Definitely recommended.
The privacy was really nice, but the time of the year was rough. In the middle of a heat wave, little air moves through the quarry, so it became extremely hot. The grass was very overgrown, making much of the area inaccessible to our younger kids, and the pond was completely covered in algae.
Again, the privacy was good...but don't go when it's hot and consider bringing a mower.

While we couldn’t make the camp site due to weather, the host was very nice in communication. She promptly refunded the cost without me even asking. We will try to stay here again if we are ever passing through the area.
Nice large space to camp for the night but unfortunately there were cars screeching up and down the road that this property is off of along with horns being honked randomly for no apparent reason. Once that settled down and when we got to sleep there was a dog barking for 2 hours that woke us up. The barking stopped when 6-7 gun shots were fired and then the dog was quiet. Also really close to the train tracks and it sounds really close when it goes by. Not in the owner’s control but campers should know that this is a possibility.
Not sure if there is a koi pond or not. Only body of water we saw had green algae covering the whole top of it. But again, nice large grassy area to stay on and there was a fire ring and firewood available to use if you want to have a fire!

Canyon View Quarry
Very nice to have a campsite so large and private.
We stayed one night at Canyon View Quarry and really enjoyed the peaceful vibe. It’s a unique spot with cool scenery, and the host made everything easy. Perfect place to unwind and recharge before hitting the road again. Would definitely stay again!

Such a cool spot!! So peaceful and beautiful. Host went above and beyond to make sure we found the site easily. I only wish we could have spent more time there!! Firewood included was also such a nice touch!

Private and enclosed property, ideal for letting loose my toddler and dog between two travel days.
A unique piece of land - a destination in itself for someone seeking some outdoor seclusion or small gathering around the fire pit.
I didn’t arrive until after dark and I left before sunrise, so I didn’t get to see how pretty it is, but I could tell that it is very pretty in the sunlight. It was quiet, felt safe and private, which is really important to me as a single lady traveling and camping in my car. 10/10 would camp here again next time I’m in the Louisville area!
We really enjoyed our evening camping on Jennifer’s land. Louisville area residents it’s a perfect 15 minute get away for a night outdoors without an hour drive, a mile hike, or being in a campground. Pull up, pitch a tent and make a fire. Jennifer was very accommodating. We will definitely be back — soon!
