We do not provide hook-ups but there is a gas station not far from the ranch that provides clean-outs. We provide excellent clean water and an extension cord. We also provide some of the friendliest cutest animals to visit. This is self-check-in so find your site and park. You are on a livestock working ranch with well taken care of animals. We will greet you when we are able do so. We purchased this wonderful 40 acre ranch in our retirement years. We had never done ranching or farming before and wanted a new experience with this gift called life. Being long time hard working Alaskans and living the Alaskan Adventure we could see no reason to be in our golden years and not have another adventure. Our many different animals provide us with entertainment and a purpose. Mini Donkeys asking for a bum rub and braying for breakfast always brings a smile. Alpacas, Llamas and Valais Black Nose Sheep, provides us with beautiful rugs from their own fiber that we sell in the Seven Stars Store. The rest of the hats, gloves, blankets and wonderful socks come from Peru. Mini horses that love to be brushed and even have their hair braided all make for an unusual experience. Our business is run on an honor system, and we ask that you practice the following: Be Good Stewards Of The Animals Be Good Stewards Of The Land Be Good Stewards Of The People Who Cross Your Path On Their Journey If you are looking for an animal adventure we might be a great spot for you as our business is how we take care of all of our friends on the Seven Stars Ranch. We welcome you, Sonia, Andy, and the 77 heartbeats

I loved waking up and saying hello to all the happy animals. They even have benches by the outside of the fences so you can sit with them. The mini donkeys were very interested to come up to the fence to check out what the heck my dog is haha

An animal-lover's dream!
I was really looking forward to staying here during my cross-country trip and it certainly didn't disappoint. In fact, I wish I could have stayed at least another day and explored the farm more. The attention to detail taken related to campers' needs was surprising - from the signs clearly identifying the camp sites and animal areas to the decorated large porta-potty (such a creative and comforting detail). Campers should obviously expect animal sounds early in the morning. For me, it was a welcome natural alarm clock. I especially loved the calls from the 40-50 wild turkey that choose to live around the farm - not a sound I'm used to hearing so I enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this site and hope to stay there again soon!

Great for kids!
Great camping experience. We stayed in site 1, it was level, easy to park, clean bathrooms and running water. Our kids loved seeing the animals. They got to feed baby goats, pet the alpacas, and look at the mini donkeys and horses. Friendly and helpful hosts, highly recommended. 10/10.

Sonia and Andy were welcoming hosts. Their ranch was beautiful and well maintained. Alpacas, goats, mini horses, donkeys, and turkeys were within walking distance to see. Each site was clearly identified. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible.

Find an Excuse to Visit!
We enjoyed the quiet, the openness, the 40 acres and...everything BUT...a mule. We helped Andy with the alpacas (and 2 llamas) and got to know him better. We'll have to come back to hear his Alaska stories.

Great spot with friendly farm animals and the only thing to disturb your sleep is roosters greeting the day. Close enough to explore Couer d'Alene but a great escape from the crowds.

We loved staying at Seven Stars Ranch. Andy and Sonia were great hosts and our girls loved feeding and playing with all the animals. They also directed us to a great local swimming spot which we totally needed and had a blast jumping off the dock. We would stay here again.

We loved staying here for a night! My two kids especially loved sleeping right across from the goats, and waking up to “check” on them first thing. The hosts were incredibly friendly and we had everything we needed for our trailer. Thank you!

My parents, sister and myself are on a roadtrip and we stayed at Sonia and Andy's amazing place our first night on the road. What a treat! We ate dinner while sitting on the benches in front of the Alpaca paddock and enjoyed the refreshing temps after a hot day's drive from Seattle. No city lights to interfere with the stars and we were easily spotting constellations and saw a couple of shooting stars. In the morning, we walked around their beautiful property and got to see the different animals and spend some time in the goat barn scratching their chests 🤗 Sonia and Andy shared information on their animals and ranch and we got to help unload a new shipment of BEAUTIFUL rugs made from the Alpacas fibers! We would have stayed many more days if we didn't have to push onward but we will back to rent the white cottage they have available! Highly recommend!!!

One of a kind Camping experience
Seven Stars Ranch was a one night stop on a long road trip across two countries and multiple states/provinces. We stayed in plenty of amazing and breathtaking campsites during the trip but my kiddos proclaimed this was the best campsite ever. They did not want to leave. We camped at RV site #3, right next to the alpacas. It was plenty roomy enough for our minivan & teardrop trailer. Sonia and her husband Andy were great hosts. Though we missed the official tour at 11am, when we arrived I think they were doing another private tour that they were gracious enough to let us join. The kids loved being so close to the goats and alpacas. As we were setting up camp, we heard some bleating from the goat pen. We ran over to find one of the goats had just given birth. Our kids got to watch it learn to stand, walk and suckle. Then they watched the birth of a second goat! The next morning, we found out that the second baby goat didn’t make it. My son was distraught. Sonia took him over to the barn so he could see the surviving baby girl goat, and he held her and wished her a happy life. Sonia asked him to come up with a name for her, and he decided that Cupcake was apt, as she had a dollop of white fur on top of her head. Before I left, I bought a small rug made with alpaca fur from the cute gift shop. We highly recommend anyone traveling through or to Couer d’Alene to stop by and visit for a tour during the day or ideally, stay the night. You won’t be disappointed.

We camped one night in our tent trailer, and it was a lovely stay. The granddaughters gave us a tour of the property and introduced us to all the animals. My kids loved it. They also enjoyed riding their bikes on the long gravel driveway. Nice and clean, and friendly hosts!

We loved stopping here!
We wanted somewhere to RV for the night that didn’t feel like a RV parking lot. This place is so peaceful and beautiful. My kids absolutely loved petting and visiting with all the cute animals. Close enough to town and the lake to be convenient, but far enough away to feel very remote and secluded. My kids are already asking to go back. Will definitely sleep here again if we’re passing through the cour d’alene area!

Wonderful host but RV-only!
Sonia is really great, she was very flexible and let us tent camp even though this Hipcamp is RV only. Her grandkids showed our 5yo and 5yo every animal on the ranch. Sleeping was a bit rough with lots of turkey and alpaca noises early in the morning and all night, faraway gunshots going off which was crazy.

Such a lovely stay. Everyone was super friendly and there was lots of open space for the kids to feel free in. The animals seemed so happy and healthy. Lots of beautiful bird song and watching the mist in the valley by the overlook was poetic. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing location & cool animals.
Amazing location, beautiful farm on top of a ridge. The location itself was amazing and then hanging with the alpacas and other animals made it even more special. On top of that the hosts met us as soon as we arrived and made us feel very welcome. They even had us participate in moving the Alpacas from the field into the pens right next to us. Also saw deer and elk at sunset. Our first HipCamp experience and will probably always be our favorite.
