Aspen Hills Campsite #2
Campsite 2 is a great little area. It’s nice and flat so it’s easy to find a level spot for tents. There was also plenty of shade with all the trees around.
The provided water and hammocks at the campsite we’re great. Having that extra water made it so we did not have to go anywhere once we got there.
The fishing was also great. We caught two fish in probably 10 minutes. They are bigger fish so be prepared for a fight!

We loved it!! It was so peaceful and close to a lot of lakes to swim at, Peter was a great host and even provided us with so much fire wood and water so that helped us out a lot. We will be coming here again!
Aspen Hills Campsite #2
It’s a fine site, but the directions to find it could be greatly improved and simplified. The site sits in a field so the grass is a little high, but once you settle in the site gets you where you need to be. I’d stay again if back in the area.

Serene with wildlife
Very serene location. I recommend getting there early in the day as it’s hard to navigate the location after dark.
When I woke up a few deer were frolicking nearby, it was beautiful.

Perfect private spot close to IF
The spot is on the edge of an open meadow with a beautiful view. Firewood is provided and water available up the road. Only 40 minutes from Idaho Falls.

Awesome Secluded Getaway
We really enjoyed camping at Aspen Hills Campsite #2. It felt like dispersed camping since the only other campsite is pretty far away so we really felt like we were on our own. But with added amenities like a toilet and a water jug. We hiked on the trails on the hill behind the sites and arrived to a beautiful viewpoint. Our dog loved it too!

Very serene, quiet campsite. Great deck, chairs, fire pit, hammocks, etc. Heads up though, if it is rainy, access could be an issue. The road in can get very muddy and rutted. You may need a high clearance vehicle, and/or AWD.

It was fantastic! They supplied water and a nice area to set up a campsite.
The area was very private, quiet and we had tons of space. Would be great for dogs to run around!

Very quiet ranch in the hills
Very quiet ranch in the hills. We had site number one and truthfully pulling a trailer and trying to get it level took us some time the site is on a slight slope. We noticed site number two looked more level and that will be our choice next time. Otherwise his other reviewer‘s have said it was wonderful. We love the privacy, quiet and big Vista views. It was convenient for us to go play around the snake River and Hot Springs. They also have horses you can rent for a trail ride very reasonably priced. The horses look fantastic. We hope to come back again for a longer stay.

Such an oasis and a surprise! After a long day of driving, this shelter of aspen and quiet (and far off cow neighbors) were a welcome site, and the platform to set up our tent so very cool. Thank you, Peter, though we didn't get a chance to meet you! You've created a lovely haven.

Perfect group location.
This location was great!
Pros - Tons of short hikes, lots of flat area for tents, hosts were great, lots of shade, close to activities, incredibly beautiful ranch, tons of wildlife (dear, elk)
Cons- You need to bring water. The five gallons they provide was a help but insufficient. One port-a-john for two group sites was a little lean. The fishing pond was pretty terrible.

Farmtastic
This is a beautiful property with hiking 30min. In either direction. There are MANY wasps, and butterflies in the summer. If you have a spring-bar tent, try to book site #2. There is horse back riding a mile up the road. We appreciated the 5gal. water provided and the portable bathroom.

Great campsite with an amazing deck for our tent. We enjoyed the amazing sunsets over endless green hills while our kids explored the Aspen trees. Peter provided a water jug for our use. We would definitely come back.

My teenage daughter and I spent one night here. It was a lovely site with a wonderful view. The tent platform is spacious. Near the firepit there is a table and seating, plus a smaller platform where you could set up an extra table. Peter provided plenty of firewood and a large storage jug filled with water.
We really enjoyed our night at Aspen Hills!

A Little Slice of HEAVEN! 🙌❤️
Oh my goodness! We were in HEAVEN! We were tent camping and we’re looking for a place thst was secluded and simply a spot to enjoy God’s beautiful creation! Aspen Hills Campsite #2 FAR EXCEEDED EVERY EXPECTATION! The spot was PERFECT! Peter did an excellent job making it extra cozy and special with a table and chairs at already at the fire pit! The hammock was such an added blessing! I hope I can share a few pictures because words cannot express or describe this LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN that this campsite at Granite Creek Ranch and Terry provided! We will be back!! By the way, I am also in LOVE with HIPCAMP! You guys are AWESOME! Thank you for helping this novice tent camper out! 😉

a perfect Hipcamp spot
This site is FANTASTIC. The land and scenery are beautiful and serene, you have abundant privacy, and you are far enough from the road that you barely hear anything except the sounds of nature. Would definitely stay here again. Peter was an excellent host. I have no complaints whatsoever and if you find yourself in eastern Idaho, this is the place to stop and camp for some peace and quiet.

Camping on a Ranch in Idaho
Fantastic experience. Great campsite on massive deck with great views and plenty of firewood as part of the stay. 10-15 min drive and we were fishing the Snake river and there also a pond to fish on the property!! Loved the privacy too, Not a sound that didn't come from nature. I will be back and ready to float the Snake next time.
Camping was tucked in the hills in the Aspens for shade and had a view of the mountains and wheat fields.

Stop by on your way to the Tetons!
What a perfect spot to arrive to after 12 hours of driving! Directions were perfect and we ended up arriving just as the sun was setting. Water was waiting for us at the site when arrived. Excellent location for setting off early to the Grand Tetons. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area!

Incredible spot w beauty & privacy
Amazing! We got in when it was dark and Peter had left solar lights to illuminate the campsite and bathroom aka porta potty. It was a gorgeous spot just up slightly on a slope looking into a golden valley with an aspen forest behind you. So great highly recommend.

Amazing Hipcamp experience! The site is gorgeous, private and so user friendly. We were pulling in late after a LONG day in the car with two young kids and were bummed that we didn't have more time to relax. We would definitely stay here again and explore the surrounding area.

We'll be going back for sure
This is one beautiful site. It's the perfect retreat to get away from it all and relax in the farming hills of Idaho. Super fun for our dog to run around with wide open spaces. We saw deer, heard coyotes, swung in the hammock, and watched a golden sunset. Go check it out!
