Absolutely beautiful camping spot. Right by the creek. I went in with my hammock and it was perfect. I’m so glad I found it on my travels through. Best host I’ve ever had as well! Thank you.

Camping in Idaho's canyons
We really enjoyed this setting, the creek nearby, the mountain valley, and the fall colors. The creek provided a peaceful background to the falling leaves and fleeting sun beams. Nestled in the Idaho's canyons this location offers a very relaxing paradise for those who enjoy mountain scenery. The City of Peck is a only a few minutes walk from the site along with some mountain roads for the adventurous.

Steps away from a scenic creek...
We enjoyed two nights on Big Canyon Creek. The site offered plenty of space, a scenic creek, a really clean porta potty, and nice hosts. Great location near the Clearwater!

We expected to be able to see the creek, but it was a bit far and hubby (who uses a manual wheelchair) could not manage path- but great creek sounds and a spectacular bat acrobatics show at dusk! Susan nice and good communication

Lovely local camping
What a great place! Nice open area next to a creek. The creek was a little hard to access from our tent with lots of rocks and tall grass. Host was super responsive and the area was beautiful.

Just what we needed
Susan’s place was just what we needed! We were passing through to take the highway 12 scenic byway back into Montana. We rolled in around 10pm and Susan and her husband were up waiting to show us to our site.
We enjoyed the privacy and safety of their property! Was happy there weren’t many mosquitoes and appreciated the porta potty.
If you stay there, grab a quick breakfast at the cute cafe right by highway 12 on Peck Junction. Good breakfast, great coffee.

Kindness, adventure, and fun!
Susan was the most kind host I could have asked for! My only recommendation which by no means is bad, would be a picnic table at the camp site. There are also some thorny bishes along the path to the creek which also was not a deal breaker, we just whacked them out of the way and played for hours in the creek that was right next to our site!
She took us on a tour of her orchard and let my daughter pet her cute li’l donkeys.
I honestly couldn’t have been happier with our stay, and best believe I will be back again!

Beautiful property and amazing hosts. The location is only minutes away from the river and there are many places to explore within an hour of it. The actual campsite is on the other side of the street from the hosts’ homestead, so you get complete privacy. The only thing I would suggest is 2 fire pits at each campsite instead of one communal one in the middle. Other than that, we had a great stay and will definitely be back!
