Site 5 - Fun Camping
Had the place to ourselves under a huge tree.... beautiful. Site was hidden behind a large White House..... a landmark historical site and felt completely safe. Highly recommend.

Nice Overnight Stay
Brenda’s place was easy to find and other than 1 other tent camper we were the only ones back there. It is a nice open space with a few shady spots. It was nice to have the RV hooked to electric and water. I accidentally booked the wrong type of site and Brenda was able to correct it once we got there. The location is right off a highway so you get some of the traffic noise at night but not enough to be a disturbance. It does not appear that anyone lives at the property so campers are on their own. We did see that there was a bathroom and outdoor shower but we didn’t use either.

Very affordable camping next to the
Brenda responded quickly and was good in explaining where we should go to set up. Having some sort of table available for campers would be a good addition. The outdoor shower was a bit dirty and hot water could not be found. Better instruction on operation of the shower would be appreciated. The bathroom was nice, and clean. We were alone in the campground, which was nice too.

Convenient Campsite
The campsite area comprises approximately 15-20 arced of mowed fields. Some areas have shade. The first night we were under the chandelier tree and my truck and camper were covered in leaf litter rapidly turning into tea stains. Fortunately, I was able to wash most off with a hose, no real damage. That site is also adjacent to the shower so if there are other campers, it’s not the most private site. Relocated to a different site and enjoyed the rest of our stay. That said this is a nice place to stay, close to restaurants and attractions in Crystal River. I found the host responsive and accommodating. There were no pests , raccoons or otherwise, except for an occasional ant hill. There is a Dollar General conveniently located next to the property for ice, and anything you might need. The shower is outdoors with a privacy wall but no door; we did not have any issues. There is a single indoor restroom with a locking door. We weekend campers and there was plenty of Harley and truck noise but no trouble sleeping. Do not miss Dan’s Clam Stand, some of the best seafood this side of Maine.
