Check in between 2:00 and 8:00 p.m., unless prior arrangements with owners have been made. Known as the Nature Coast and one of Florida's greatest hidden secrets, this property is private, yet just minutes from civilization and manatees! Your cabin has a full bed for two and a comfy pull out couch that will accommodate two more. The cabin is located on private property with owners and security on site, yet plenty of privacy. During the day, paddle your way to the beautiful Three Sisters Springs for a swim. You may see some manatee, turtles, and dolphins along your way! Hunter Springs is a great little park with a beach area for swimming and kayak rentals too. There are also several Diving with the manatee tours available. This is all only a short drive from camp. You can enjoy swimming, fishing, scalloping, snorkeling, kayaking, pontooning just five minutes away, or just relaxing back at the camp. Heritage Village is in town filled with many hometown eateries and shoppes. It's a great way to spend the afternoon and explore Crystal River. We have a variety of great one-of-a-kind eateries with many special events and festivals throughout the year. Conveniently located at the end of the street is a Publix, DG, Mexican restaurant, Brother's Pizza and Beef O'Brady's. Firewood is available on site. We also have brochures on all kinds of other great places you'll want to experience while staying in beautiful Crystal River! Oh, and don't forget to stop by Grandma's gift shop before you leave. Cats not allowed. If you have another camping party to travel with, we also have another site which sleeps two under "The Pirate's Cove." We wanted to stay in the woods and that is exactly what it was. My first time "glamping" and I recommend it. Nice to sleep in a real bed, have AC, heat and protection from the elements. We made a fire every night and enjoyed the trees, birds and squirrels running around. It is close to the main house, but we were unbothered and it felt private. Definitely a thumbs up! Very quiet yet close to town.

We loved our stay! It was an adorable cozy little cabin with the benefits of camping--dinner over a fire, enjoying the outdoors, and an outdoor shower (so cool and enjoyable--even when it got cold at night!). We will definitely be back here. Perfect for a short getaway weekend and very easy to take kids with you without the stress of cramming into a tent and/or getting bad sleep on the ground. We brought out 5 month old and had plenty of room for her portacrib ! Very simple and fun!

Crystal River Cabin Get-Away
My partner and I decided to extend our vacation to spend more time paddle boarding the beautiful springs and seeing the manatees, and Colleen’s place was affordable, peaceful, and in close proximity to the springs! We loved showering under the stars in the hot outdoor shower and we made an excellent meal on the charcoal grill. We didn’t use the bonfire pit, but the set up was really cute, with a hanging bench and an outdoor table and chairs. Although the place is situated fairly close to Colleen’s house, it still felt private and comfortable. We are avid and seasoned campers, so this “glamping” experience was familiar to us and had just what we needed (a warm, dog-friendly place to stay with a bed and hot shower) for a fraction of the price of an AirBNB or hotel stay. We would definitely visit again! Thanks Colleen!

Camping with animals!

Great getaway cabin! My wife and I brought our dog Zoe for the weekend to go see the manatees and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. The weather was perfect and the campfire was roaring. Our host graciously provided the firewood and gave us a great brief tour of what to expect. She even provided local knowledge on some local bars etc. our dog Zoe was fine in the cabin while we left in the AC and we went hiking not 10 minutes away. I would highly suggest this place and we plan to come back one day.

The cabin was perfect for our little get away. It was close by to attractions and conveniently located to groceries and other needs. Colleen was an outstanding host, the cabin was clean and well equipped. We felt comfortable and welcomed. Thank you Colleen for your hospitality and for accommodating our pet as well.

My family & I enjoyed our stay at the Happy Campers cabin in Colleen & Eddie's property. Colleen is a lovely host. The cabin is super cute inside & out. It's a perfect central location for exploring the surrounding nearby springs & Gulf. A 10 minute drive to Crystal River & Three Sister Springs, & a 20 min drive to Homosassa Springs National Park.

Wonderful cabin, wonderful host, wonderful location! The only thing to keep in mind is the outdoor shower/portable toilet area does not have a pop up or netting, so it’s mildly difficult to avoid getting bitten if you’re taking your time in the shower or potty. But hey, that’s nature and it was worth getting A/C while visiting the springs!

I spent the weekend at their property and the cabin was fantastic. The property is in a perfect location only 10/15 minutes from everything. The rain on the roof and the quietness was golden! Absolutely recommend a stay here. They were wonderful hosts and very kind. I will be staying here in the future when I go back to Crystal Springs! Thank you guys I had a great time!

Exactly what I was looking for in a peaceful weekend get away. Colleen is such a sweet person. Worked with me when I needed to switch weekends due to Debbie coming in to visit. She waived the 75.00 fee it cost to switch the weekends. Her mom was a pleasure to talk to and the store is adorable. Beds were very comfortable. Very nice and comfortable.

We had a great time during our two night stay. Our dog and toddler were so happy to run around and the cabin is comfy and fits everyone well. Colleen and Eddie were communicative and our check in was a breeze.

The perfect getaway!

We could not have asked for anything better. Beautiful cozy cabin with everything we needed to unplug from our busy lives. Wonderful hosts. Such a welcome place. It feels like you are a million miles from home. Grilling out and enjoying a fire. Seeing turtles and rabbits. The cute little town nearby full of amazing little shops. I would recommend it to anyone. We will be back.

The shaded property made a big difference when it was over 90 degrees and no clouds. When it rained the sound of the tin roof gave us all a good nap. Our Shepard had full run of the property off leash and my son was able to shoot targets with his BB gun. Very friendly, very accommodating.

Very nice cabin, small but had everything you would need. A/C worked great even tho it was very hot outside. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to spend the night. Got a call from home for an emergency, so had to leave.

The PERFECT GETAWAY! Thank you Eddie for reserving for us! Peaceful and relaxing while we’re buying our own property in this beautiful little town. Thanks for all the recommendations. You guys both know the area well. Got a glimpse of the owl too! Highly recommend this property if you’re a nature lover looking for peace and quiet mixed with some great AC and a super comfy bed! Crystal River Cabin Get-Away
Highly recommend this place. It was very peaceful and quiet, with everything we needed provided. The best part was our friends staying next door at The Pirate's Den, and we had a blast spending time with them around the fire pit at night. We enjoyed our stay, it was quite cozy! There are plenty of interesting things to do in the Crystal River or Homosassa area. We'll be back again for another weekend getaway with friends.

I booked a night and was told when I arrived it was already booked for the night. Was offered a more “primitive” cabin with no discount. We agreed I would be refunded. I was given a partial refund and when I reached out to the host to ask why they kept my money when it was no fault of my own that they double booked, they never responded. I would recommend a more responsible and forthright host who doesn’t jip you out of money just because they can.

Such a homey enjoyable time, it was the true definition of glampling. There was plenty of creature comforts and was super close to all kinds of interesting things. I definitely recommend going to the archeological state park and if you're a tea drinker like me there is a tea house right across the road from the general store in downtown Crystal River only about 3 or so miles away. And Christine and grandma of grandma's gift shop were so sweet, this is a must stay for anyone who likes glamping

Welcoming nest near manatees

Colleen and Eddie were so welcoming. The cabin is like a little private nest, an easy drive to Three Sisters for manatee viewing. Quiet dead end street.
