We bought the property six years ago for our own private camping needs and to have a place where we can go do projects. There is currently a research facility being built nearby. We are under development and will be getting better all the time but your campground is plenty far away from that.  We are continuing to make the property better so we can host family art camp-outs, health and wellness retreats, educational workshop gatherings and much more. Please come support us and if you are interested in camping technology and off grid living options come get to know us and help supporty our future activities! Learn more about this land: Desert Camping in the Middle of No-Where.! There is literally nothing but wild desert for miles in every direction! Lots of open space! Open Sky! Places to go hiking. Lizards, foxes, and birds. It is less than a 10 mile drive to the nearest stores and restaurants. There are a few miles of dirt road driving but all roads are well maintained and safe for all vehicle types. The sunsets are beautiful here and there are lots of nearby areas where shooting is allowed and other desert activities. We can give you advice if you want to go rock hunting, shooting, picture taking, hiking and more. Let us know your ideas for larger groups. We are also a great area for viewing meteor showers and astrological events as we have very little light pollution because of our distance from civilization. We are building the campground up and there is currently a gathering area that large groups can use but it is still under development. There is also a nonprofit here doing off-grid research and a fenced in area for that which we are still working on. Please let us know if you want the tour. Come and check us out and help us grow. We will be progressing quickly!

Signage was not as expected. Ordered bag of ice but wasn’t able to retrieve it. Aggressive barking dog off lease.

When we arrived no one was there. We called the number three times, never got a response, no one called back. There were only two dogs barking at us, no signs, no check-in desk or information of any kind. Very disappointing, especially regarding the fact that we drove 6 miles into the desert for it. We had to look for another campground for the night.

Camping with cute dogs!
I loved the camping site. Very spacious and quiet. This is a great place that I will definitely come back in the future. The owner took 2 stray dogs under his care and is looking new families for them. The dogs are very friendly and well behaved. They kept us company all night and slept right next to our tent. If anyone is looking for a furry friend, come out to NightJar Oasis and check them out!

Matthew’s place was just great. It is really hidden, but the sunset and sunrise are just amazing. We arrive in the night that the eclipse was going on and we just loved the place! Would recommend anyone who loves hidden, great places

Different for us but enjoyable
During the week when we were there it was really quiet. In fact we were the only ones there. It looks like on the weekends it might be different but I really don't know. The dog that has the run of the place was very nice and always looking for a treat :) but very much a gentle dog, sniffed the 3 little pieces of steak I gave him very carefully before he gently took the pieces. Just know the last mile or so the road is like a washboard. We just took our time and it wasn't too bad.
