We were a bit reluctant to travel during covid-19, but we’re also losing our minds stuck in the city with 3 rambunctious boys. We took a chance in the ranch and it exceeded our expectations & somewhat particular standards. It had us dreaming of a covid free world where we can come back with family and friends and rent ATVs and horses...but for now the equine therapy and fresh air were a welcome retreat...

My family had a blast on Daniela's ranch. She was great at communication and setting safety guidelines. I was there with my 2 kids and we loved seeing and interacting with the animals. We felt very safe exploring her property. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrise. (And the bathroom was great)

We had the place to ourselves and it was wonderful! Beautiful views, great access to the Pacific Crest Trail, and very well-kept campsites. Daniela was super nice and helpful. It was buggy during the day, but that's summer camping almost anywhere. Totally fine after the sun went down, and great stargazing. Bathroom was very clean. We also loved meeting the property's very polite and friendly dogs :)

Exactly the level of chill I was looking for in a getaway. And amazing to see stars at night with clarity away from the light pollution of the city!

A great getaway spot
What a truly great spot! This was only an hour out of LA and a great little getaway to the mountains. There was plenty of beautiful hiking and scenery, the property is quite large and easy to just carve out your own time away from other people. Because it is close to LA I'm sure it gets booked a lot as we had two other neighbors the entire time. The sites are a little close to each other for my taste, especially surprising because of the amount of land that is available up there, but we were definitely warned about it ahead of time. Daniela was a fantastic host and greeted us a few hours after we had set up. We felt safe and secure the entire time and didn't have any issues arise. The restroom was great and easy to find/use. It was windy at night considering it was early June, but we came prepared for the cold at night. No fires is a bummer, but the propane tank fire pit was a great consolation. It will be a great place to visit again!

Daniela was a great hostess - she introduced us to her friendly horses, goats, dogs and other animals. She showed us some hiking trails on her property and we were able to scramble up ~2 miles to the PCT (though it was steep and challenging in spots).
There was one other group camping next to us, but there was enough space for both groups to have some privacy.
Excellent sunset views and terrain. Windy and chilly at night, we were happy we brought a propane fire pit. Toilet and sink were clean, all in all a good value.

Great Getaway
This was a great escape for the weekend. It wasn’t far from LA and still had a very scenic view. The campsites are close to one another but luckily we were the only ones there for the weekend. Unfortunately we weren’t able to meet Daniela, however she made sure someone could still give us a tour! The bathrooms were also very clean and there were some nice trails to walk. I would definitely recommend!

Quiet getaway in the country with friendly animals and an awesome host.
Stayed 2 nights in 1/4 apartments behind Daniela’s house. The room has 1 bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room. If you’re a serious cook, bring your own knives. If you only need the essentials, you’re good to go.
Attempted to hike to the Pacific Coast Trail behind her house and failed. The incline and the nats are not for beginners or the unprepared. Definitely should have taken Daniela’s suggestion and hiked in the morning to avoid the nats and utilized the camelbak I brought to the room but didn’t use on the hike (because I’m an idiot).
Planned on going 4 wheeling after the hike, but decided to dip in the cowboy pool instead. Needed to cool down and relax.
Daniela’s property is home to horses, goats, pigs, dogs, and a peacock. Many of these animals are rescues and they are very friendly.
My favorite part about this trip was the quiet moments on the property. I enjoyed walks in the mornings with the dogs and watching the sunset from the porch.
This quiet getaway was needed and much appreciated. Thank you.

Delightful stay on the ranch!
What a wonderful camping experience, with some extra frills! The property is gorgeous and Daniela is super chill and helpful. 85 during the day and 60 at night, the shaded porch and cowboy tub kept us cool...and the propane fire pit kept us warm (fire season so no wood - small fee for the propane). Plates, silverware and a few pots and pans provided as well as a little coffee maker, as well as lots of clean towels for the shower. Be sure to bring all the rest of your cooking gear/salt pepper oils etc with you.
We went ATVing around the property with was AMAZING. Wear long sleeves and pants if you want to avoid scratches and poison oak, but other than that it was super rad. Daniela is a great host!
Hiked Snake something trail (check AllTrails) about a mile away which was really pretty and took under 2 hours and is partially shaded. Convenience store/market about 15 mins away for ice and extras that don’t fit in the mini fridge!

Animal and Adventure Ranch Camping
This place was the perfect quick getaway from the city! Lots of animals - horses, goats, wild rabbits, pigs and a peacock can all be seen wandering around - all very friendly. Daniela is very gracious and accommodating. Pay extra to go ATVing and/or horseback riding - well worth it! Daniela will take pictures and video and send them to you so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. Highly recommended.

Magical Surprise Proposal Camp Trip
I first messaged Daniella and told her I was planning to surprise my gf with our friends, family, and me proposing to her. Daniella was super sweet when we finally met her in-person and congratulated us and gave us a little run down of the hostory, area and hiking spots.
The site itself is beautiful, spacious and private. The animals add a nice touch and are very tame and surprisingly super photogenic (haha)
It was extremely crazy weather unfortunately but we are planning to come back again and check out all the hiking trails as well as possibly rent ATVs or take a horseback tour offered by Daniella.
Thank you so much for making this trip one to cherish for the rest of our lives.
10/10

Awesome Spot and Host
This is a terrific, safe and fun location. Danielle is a kind host, and runs a fully functioning horse ranch. There are lots of animals (horses, ponies, goats, a pig) which made it a perfect visit for our 4-year old son. We got a full tour of the farm and were warmly accommodated. She also rents appartments to her riders, so there were a few other people around but no one else camping. It was very easy to feel comfortable but also out of the way. If we had longer, we would have stayed and hiked the paths that lead up to the Pacific Crest Trail right from camp. Very special location, and great for people wanting to get away in the woods but aren't quite comfortable with a fully wild site.

Very nice place and friendly host. Decor had a very homey feel and the place was kept clean. Beautiful views of high desert forest canopies and hiking areas nearby with access to the pacific coast trail. Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve just a short drive away. Very friendly dog came to greet us in the morning. Bed was comfortable and the electric blanet keep us warm all night. Kitchen had limited space and limted pots and pans but contained all the essentials for cooking. Would definitely stay again.

We booked Just ons night but it was great. We stayed in number 4. The directions to get to the place were clear, still not easy to find the exact spot but in return it’s peace and quiet. Checkin was simple, friendly and easy. Went for great hike very close to the place and in the evening visited the local pub for drinks, food and live music. The next morning we went for horse riding. Great instructions and beautiful nature, just great. Overall fun place with animals in beautiful nature. Thanks Daniela.

Daniela is a FANTASTIC host and we really enjoyed our time there. We spent two nights in Camp Wild. We were the only ones there which was perfect for us. The seven campsites are all VERY closet to each other -- great if you are with friends. Not great if you had to share the tight space with strangers (unless you are into that :)). We rode horses and the ATV's. Our kiddos loved all the animals. It was a great experience.
