So fun! It really feels like a summer camp! I kept waiting for Patrick Swayze to walk around a corner offering me dance lessons.

Cabins-Solstice/Sunrise w/breakfast
This would be a fantastic place to bring younger children for a family reunion, there are so many activities, you can change it up every few minutes. My husband especially enjoyed his private archery lesson. I enjoyed walking the property taking in the views, and not having to cook or wash dishes! I have a slight dairy allergy, and the staff were SO helpful and accommodating, they always offered to check with the cook, without me even asking, to make sure the food was safe for me. They never rolled their eyes or made me feel bad for asking. Everything was well thought out and professional. They had carts to carry luggage a short walk to our cabin, games to borrow for the evenings, and we even had a s'more night. They truly make the outdoors a relaxing experience.

Perfect balance between no-frills camping and resorting. Facilities are great! Service was outstanding! Food was yummy! Great for families And families with dogs. Will definitely be back.

Great find!
The Camp was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were fantastic. The grounds were beautiful. All meals are included and the food was delicious. They even packed a “to-go” lunch since I was going out hiking for the day and was not going to be onsite during lunch. I’ll definitely be going back.

On the positive side,
the cabins were nice, large, clean and new.
The mattresses were really comfortable.
We had a nice, clean modern and private bathroom (which is almost unheard of even for glamping)
The pool was large and had an attached B-ball court.
The grounds were nice and things were pretty close together so you dont have to walk very far from Sunset cabins.
On the negative side:
You had to pre-purchase three meals a day which is more than we wanted to eat.
We had to pre-select every single meal upon check in
The catering staff was a disaster. They were so understaffed that it was common to wait 60-90 minutes between "checking in" for your meal and the food arriving at the table even if it was just a burger with fried.
An extra $80 "dog fee".
Dogs are not allowed anywhere near the pool area so we could not go swimming because we brought our dog. Total bummer.

Magical, better than expected
This place is MAGICAL. We're so bummed we only stayed one night. It would be so fun with a big group and even for families. The food, the complimentary wine, the cute cabins, the clean bathrooms, all the fun activities--don't miss it! Plus, you're super close to the amazing wineries in Carmel. This was the best way to celebrate my best friend's birthday!

This was an absolutely wonderful experience - nice cabins, very clean, well-built bathrooms. The views are gorgeous. The food is delicious, farm-to-table, served on a veranda overlooking a view of the Carmel Valley hills. Such a relaxing weekend escape.

Camp for adults with great food.
Super fun little spot. They have ping-pong, tennis, giant Jenga, and much more. The food was incredible -full on gourmet with great wine. This place is going to become very popular very soon.

Totally amazing getaway! Clean, socially distanced, excellent people -- just totally the best place to be for a 3 day weekend. Veronica and Natalie were on top of everything. Would not hesitate to go back!

Natural Beauty and Excellent Camp
What a beautiful place this is! Twin sisters Veronica and Natalie provided warm welcome, archery supervision, campfire fun, and joyful laughter. There were no problems for them to iron out, but I have faith that they could handle anything facing them.
Our cabin was spotless with screened windows and two very comfortable queen sized beds (made perfect with fitted sheets from home plus comfy sleeping bags). The equally spotless bathroom/shower was only for our cabin—no worries about cleaning after others in this “special” time of Covid. And it has electrical outlets.
The best part is the setting—live oaks and hills and deer crunching away on the many acorns. The deck overlooks some of the best countryside in California.
We decided to enjoy our dinners at the nearby Carmel Valley Village snd enjoyed our breakfast and snacks at our own assigned picnic table.
The pool is big and not heated. Alas, one cannot have everything. If the air temperature had been a little hotter than would not have been a problem, but the kids who were camping could not have cared less. The kids at this camp were a happy bunch and for good reason.
We look forward to a return visit. Thanks for being an oasis in such a beautiful setting.

Gorgeous facility and amenities. Peaceful and quite location away from the town. The cabins were the perfect size for our group of four. Especially appreciated the dedicated bathroom and picnic table for our group so we didn't have to be as COVID-cautious.

Had an amazing time here! The Hosts are very available and present to make sure everything goes smoothly. They were really fun to chat to and they even taught us archery! The cabins are very comfortable, and the property is all set up really well for social distancing. Every cabin has an assigned bathroom and picnic table - it couldn't have been easier to have an amazing relaxing time at this property! Thanks for taking such care to host people and help everyone get a much needed break in this tricky year of 2020.

We had an awesome time at Camp at Carmel Valley. There were so many activities to do at the camp and it was in an ideal location to take a day trip to Big Sur or Carmel by the Sea or to drive into Carmel for food and drinks. The cabins and bathrooms were new and impeccably clean. The cabins are well spaced out but noise does carry so the quiet time was diligently enforced.
The hosts were really the best part of the trip. Natalie and Veronica and Ivan were so welcoming and friendly. They really went out of their way to accommodate us.
While social distancing was enforced, there was still a community feel. There were mostly families present but, as a couple, we did not feel out of place.
We can’t wait to come back!

Comfortable, relaxing weekend spot
Our stay at the Camp at Carmel Valley was comfortable (despite a brutal heat wave!). The cabin was clean, beds soft, bathrooms were easy to access and very nice. We don't have kids, but the place was full of families who seems to be enjoying themselves very much. We had our dog with us and everyone was excited to see her.

The Camp at Carmel Valley is just like the summer camps we used to attend as kids, but updated to be more adult/family-friendly and now COVID-respectful... It was a delight to roam about the grounds with our kids, and it was very easy to imagine the crazy fun that was had here in pre-pandemic times. Even so, the camp hosts were charming and diligent in asking all campers to maintain proper distance. There is a lot of space on site (although you do not have access to the full 100+acres, yet), but with the weekend fully booked you sometimes felt all 50ish people a little closer than comfortable... But again, the Camp has put a lot of thought into keeping things as safe as possible while still preserving as much of the camping spirit as they could - picnic tables are assigned and reasonably distanced, you have your own 2-bed cabin, and the bonus kicker is the personal bathroom (flush toilet, shower, and hot water!!!) assigned to each cabin. Big hits were the archery range (reservations taken for 20 minute slots), tetherball, ping pong, and roasting marshmallows at the hearth. Would love to come back soon for some fun family time at Camp, and would also love to come back post-COVID to get the full Camp experience.

Great family cabins
We had so much fun. The site was clean, the staff were all very helpful & kind, and there was a lot to do. I was especially happy that COVID precautions were implemented & staff were continually sanitizing high touch areas. Everyone wore masks (staff & guests). The pool was really fun, & it was huge (you could easily socially distance). Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Great stay at the Camp. Something not listed was the private bathrooms for each cabin! I'm guessing this only applies to certain campsites (ours was Sunset camp) but was fantastic. Really attentive camping moderators, lots of social-distancing, dedicated picnic tables. Really great weekend.
We managed to do all the activities available to us (pool, archery, horse petting). We didn't realize we had to make an appointment for the archery range, but the host let us stay 30 min extra to get some shots in. Highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful and all the staff was very pleasant and great to deal with. Wonderful, beautiful camp and would recommend to all my friends. Cabins and bathrooms were clean and great to use. Would recommend to note you have a lockers in rooms and to bring a lock . Also for the bathrooms to make sure you have a sign in room or bathroom about the rechargeable lantern in room to charge. Lastly put up directional signs about coming in and leaving. The sign that says do not enter does not explain about the road being one way. Other than that everything was great. Thank you to all the wonder staff who made our stay great.

Beautiful and fun weekend
We had a fantastic time at camp. I have 2 young kids and we all had a blast. It's gorgeous, the cabins are clean and the beds are comfy. The pool was really fun. We also enjoyed the tennis courts, basketball, games by the eating area (ping pong, tetherball, etc). This is really an amazing place. They were very serious about social distancing, masks, and disinfecting things so we were able to relax and have a great time without feeling like we were putting the staff or ourselves at risk. I really can't recommend this wonderful camp enough!
