Valinore is a beautifully forested 4 acre property. Tucked away and private, but close enough to adventure such as beaches, rivers, lakes as well as markets, restaurants and much more. Our yurts are comfortable and cozy. The site is rustic but contains everything you need for a relaxing and refreshing stay. The location is a few kilometres off of Alberni Hwy and a short drive away from beaches, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, Goats on the Roof, and many hiking and biking trails. The site is also within biking distance to some trails. The Errington Farmers market is a walk or bike ride away. And only a short car ride away are several other nearby markets including Goats on the Roof and the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market.

Arda is located at the back of 4 acres of land and surrounded by fir, pine and cedar trees; ferns, salal and many other plants create a serenely green view. Guests will have access to an outhouse (with flushing toilet), an outdoor shower with hot water, wifi, and, a private 4 meter bell tent with a very comfortable queen sized bed. The location is a few kilometres off of Alberni Hwy and a short drive away from beaches, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, Goats on the Roof, and many hiking and biking trails. The site is also within biking distance to some trails. The Errington Farmers market is a walk or bike ride away. And only a short car ride away are several other nearby markets including Goats on the Roof and the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market. Coffee, tea, baking, and fruit will be provided in the morning. This will be located near the shower. These amenities (along with the outhouse) will be shared with guests of 2 other tents. No smoking on site. No pets, sorry. The property is already home pets and children, who may be heard playing nearby. The property has two resident guardian dogs. They are large but very gentle. Guests are asked to use bins provided to dispose of food waste, garbage and recycling. Also, guests are urged to keep the common areas tidy as other guests will be using these as well. There are fire extinguishers located in each tent, and there is a fire extinguisher located on the outside of the shower along with a first aid kit. Many nights have been serenaded by the hoots of a resident owl. The pond, which is home to frogs near the garden at the front of the property, has been visited by ducks and herons. And though the property is well protected by dogs, sometimes bears wander by. The dogs alert the property owners when there are animals nearby, which may be heard at night. The tent is privately tucked away and accessed by a path. The path is illuminated by lights. This path is decently clear but it is always a good idea to ‘watch your step’ especially at night. The tent sits on a cedar deck and is accompanied by a sitting area. The tent contains a queen-sized bed, a lamp, outlets for charging electronics, storage for backpacks and clothes, bedding, many pillows, a pouf for floor sitting, and towels. There is a laundry service for a fee of $20. Your tranquil getaway awaits. We look forward to your stay.

They are large but very gentle. Many nights have been serenaded by the hoots of a resident owl. The pond near the front of the property, which is home to frogs, has also been visited by ducks and herons. And though the property is well protected by dogs, sometimes bears wander by. The dogs will alert the property owners when there are animals nearby, which may be heard at night. The cabin, Vilya, is small but very quaint. It has been hand-crafted to suit a quiet getaway or retreat from everyday life. It contains a queen-sized bed, a table with chairs, shelves, handmade hooks, a washer and dryer, and a beautiful little kitchenette complete with fridge, hot plate, cookware, dishes and a kettle. The backdoor of the cabin opens onto a serene view of the forest. Here, you can sit at our patio set, or bench, warming yourself by the propane fire. Steps away, you will find the shared common area, which contains the outhouse (with flush toilet), shower (with hot water), and another kitchenette area where guests can help themselves to tea and coffee, or use the sink to wash up. Visiting the common area may mean coming into contact with other guests. This shared area can be an opportune place to meet fellow travellers. However, each site is separate, private and spaced appropriately from the others. There is plenty of room on the land for guests to enjoy peace and solitude, if desired. Your tranquil getaway awaits. Oh my god, what a lovely experience! As a LOTR nerd, I was delighted at the theme. :) The site was peaceful and quiet, the doggies were so friendly and welcoming, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. For me, this was capital G glamping. There was a very clean flushing toilet outhouse with all amenities you’d need, the shower was so amazing - think, steamy cedar, cool island air, fresh fluffy towels. The outdoor kitchen with organic coffee, spearmint tea, and yummy cookies in the morning was truly next level fancy shmancy. The tent was amazing: clean, cozy, and warm, beautifully designed in art nouveau fashion. We slept like logs! 100% worth it, and a great value! I sure hope to be back one day for longer!

Perfect Mid-Island Base Camp

Our stay at Valinore Glamping exceeded my expectations. Not that I had low expectations, but upon arrival at the property, both my partner and I were impressed by the craftsmanship of the cabin, the shared amenities, and the well-kept grounds in general. The property is in a nice central location perfect for exploring the mid Island, with lots to do nearby and the highway is right there for exploring further afield. The cabin is comfortable and well-equipped, with cooking supplies, coffee/tea, an A/C unit, heater, a propane fire pit, and even laundry. The common area has a nice clean shower and toilet, as well as additional cooking supplies. During our stay we were thrilled to be warm and dry in the cabin while an incredible electrical storm thundered overhead and dumped buckets of rain. We sat under the overhang and enjoyed the propane fire pit as the sky exploded — it was pretty awesome. Nearby Parksville/Qualicum/Coombs offer lots to do, I’d recommend checking out the new brewery/restaurant Fern & Cedar, swimming at Englishman River Falls Provincial Park, and mountain biking at Hammerfest riding area. I’d certainly stay at Valinore Glamping again.

Wonderful Resting Spot

Great little spot away! Stayed in the Fea tent and appreciated how clean, comfortable, and well thought out it was. Great communication and nice touches such as having french press and coffee / tea available to enjoy in the morning. And having a nice space for a hot shower after a long day out was much appreciated.

Cozy cabin stay in the woods

Marcus’s has done such a great job curating his property into a retreat style stay. We stayed in the cabin at the end of the road that was tucked back in the woods surrounding the land. There are other glamping tents thoughtfully set back off the gravel road through the property and surrounded by their own trees creating a peaceful environment for everyone. The shared flushing outhouse was exceptionally clean and the cookies in the morning were a real treat! His two dogs are so sweet and love to greet you as you come through the gate. We will most certainly be back to spend some time again here.

It’s a beautiful space! Definitely romantic and private spots. But there is the middle ground to make some friends too. The shower and bathroom are also really nice - the decorations are super pretty. You should stay here

The Arda Bell tent was gorgeous. It's like a hotel in the woods - with queen bed, lamp table & towels/shampoo/conditioner, coffee/tea/bakies provided; best of all there's electric plug! The owners are friendly especially their 2 dogs. A good place to unwind and relax!

This was such a cute set up! Pamela has thought of everything! We stayed in the Fea tent. It was cozy, spacious and required no thought on our part but our PJs. Cute little outhouse and shower with running water! Towels, coffee & tea! Absolutely loved it!

Everything about this place was beautiful. Walking down the drive decorated with lights leading to the yurt was stunning. Bed was comfy and the coffees in the morning were the perfect way to wake up. The facilities are top notch and the forest surrounding us was enchanting. Loved every minute of this place.

This glamp site canvas tent was perfect after a week of kayaking in the Broughton Archipelago. We stayed here as we had left Port McNeill at 3pm and needed to stay a night before a morning ferry. The BEST part was the divine and well designed outdoor shower with hot water, shelves, hooks and a changing area. Beautiful flushing outhouse as well. Canvas tent was excellent and we could stand in multiple areas.

We had a wonderful stay glamping on the Island. The tents are roomy and comfortable. Amenities were fantastic with flushing toilet, washing up area and a hot shower! Good location too as a short drive to Goats on the Roof and Englishmen River with some nice swimming holes to explore.

The hosts have done a great job setting up the glamping tents and the sites have lots of space between them. The problem we encountered was barking dogs somewhere in the area that went on until the wee hours of the morning. This is no fault of the hosts but it certainly doesn't make for a quiet peaceful sleep and left us pretty tired for our next travel day

We had a great stay! The tent was beautiful and well kept, the bed was comfy, and the lights outside created a great ambience as the sun set. We did have an issue with wasps. So bring bug repellent, especially if you'll be cooking here. Pamela has two adorable, friendly dogs who came to say hi during our stay as well. Her instructions were clear and well laid out, the facilities were clean, and we loved the privacy/distance between the two tents on the property.

The tent was perfect for our getaway in nature! We had everything we required and slept in great comfort. The cleanliness of everything and the quality of the facilities on site were second to none. The breakfast spread in the morning was beautiful and much appreciated. We would highly recommend anyone stay here and had a wonderful time!

We had an absolutely lovely time at the Nenya Glamping Yurt/Tent. It was comfortable, cozy and quiet. The shower and bathroom were clean and lovely. Morning breakfast of delicious coffee and tea selections and perfectly ripe fresh peaches - with zucchini bread as well. Highly recommend!!

Such a relaxing experience! Comfy bed and big tent surrounded by beautiful greenery! The hostesses were so friendly and accommodating. Our stay we went to an amazing nearby swimming hole and spent the afternoon in parksville! Definitely something we'd like to do again!
