Unfortunately, the photos do not accurately depict the setting. The property is cluttered with old vehicles and junk. We arrived and quickly found another place to camp on the island. We found a place on the water for the same price. Owner was non-responsive after I reached out.

I am very grateful for Halit for opening up his space to guests, especially as accommodations are so sparse on Mayne Island. We had a great night's sleep on very even ground in the shade, and it was nice and quiet. The bathroom is very clean. We didn't spend a lot of time at the site and only went there to sleep after watching a beautiful sunset at the lighthouse. It's great for that purpose, and Khalid is very nice

The host was very nice and the location was good, but the space could use some work as it’s small, dark and surrounded by rubble. Also lots of mosquitoes. If you simply need a place to sleep and don’t plan to spend too much time at the site then it’s adequate, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you plan to spend a lot of time there.

Our stay was great! Halit had a tarp set up for us upon arrival in case of rain and the octagon tent pad area had everything you needed including water, a table and electricity. Thank you for the detailed directions and great communication!
