Welcome to Goonieland. We are an off-grid Permaculture farm perched on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. We are conveniently located between Yoho and Glacier National Parks, 20 minutes from Golden BC. The sauna campground is in a meadow above our farm with mountain views and creeks nearby. The purpose of Goonieland is to learn, practice and teach permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and natural law, while moving towards sovereignty, intentional community, and ecosystem restoration. We open our land to our fellow freedom fighters and folks walking the road toward a regenerative future and self-responsibility. We have two tenting sites, a glampervan, a glamping bell tents (on Airbnb), with a shared wood-fired sauna! Sauna Under the Stars Campground: Old Man Site Sauna Under the Stars Campground: The Chicken Coop (Sites are named after our favourite back-country skiing zones) *Room for one tent and small caravans/campers with mountain views and a shared wood-fired sauna. The Glamper-Van: Our cozy glamper van has a cush mattress, laminate flooring, a full kitchen set-up, shade tent and a cubic mini wood stove! A fire pit, and shared wood-fired sauna await you.

Absolutely amazing scenery!! Loved the atmosphere! So private! Being in the woods with the mountains was absolute bliss! Great communication from Nicole & Brian. Even the added company from the pups added to the perfect camping trip! I can’t wait to go again!! Will be back! Hopefully in September 👏🏻🫶🏼

We had very quiet and peaceful night. When I arrived we do not have picnic table, but they brought one right after we asked. We also ordered eggs and sausages. Those were very tasty.

Sauna Under the Stars: Old Man

Fascinating visit!

We loved this place! Beautiful views, lots of privacy and quiet. Very basic camping with a compost outhouse looking out over the trees and hills. Make sure that you take the optional tour. Brian and Nicole are endlessly creative and I guarantee you will see things you have never seen before. Great place to just hang out at.

Camping site #1

We stayed at site #1 at the end of May and had a really nice time. It is private with lots of land and forest. Very green and a nice escape. I would recommend ordering the sausages that they produce at their farm, it was exactly what we wanted after walking around all day. The only thing is they seem to have a lot going on so right when you pull up, it seems like you're entering into a hills have eyes type situation. As the road winds up, you pass all the metal waste and machinery and come across a secluded forested area with stunning views from all sides. As you drive up, don't get freaked out, the camping part of it is still awesome and we would definitely go again.

Would absolutely go back!

We stayed in site #3 actually, but wow was it a joy to stay at Nicole’s campsite! We enjoyed the sauna and time out in the middle of the forest. Both Nicole and her husband were so helpful and kind. She gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations as well!
