Unique Mountain Retreat in Creston Valley’s Community Forest Perched on 22 private, secluded acres bordering the vast public-use forest of Arrow and Goat Mountain, this unique geodesic dome offers an unforgettable three-season glamping and comfort-camping escape with panoramic valley views. Enjoy complete privacy: only one group is booked at a time, giving you the entire clearing and surrounding acreage all to yourselves. Property Highlights and Amenities: * Furnished Geodesic Dome: Queen bed and convertible single pullout (comfortably sleeps 3 inside the dome). Additional space and clearing available for group camping, RVs, and tents. * Large Screened Gazebo: Shaded, bug-free sanctuary for outdoor dining, board games, and relaxing during warm summer afternoons. * Private 9-Hole Disc Golf: Custom 9-hole disc golf course woven directly through the property landscape. * Outdoor Solar Shower: Sun-heated shower deck with mountain views (warmest on sunny afternoons; cooler in mornings/shoulder seasons; available June–August). Please bring your own towels. * Scenic Outhouse: Clean, functional outhouse with perhaps the best panoramic valley view in the region! * Campfire & BBQ: Propane BBQ provided. Large wood fire pit with cooking grill (free firewood included) + propane fire bowl for use during regional summer fire bans. * Potable Water & Power: Fresh drinking water provided in jugs inside the dome. Solar power bank available to charge phones/USB devices. Excellent cellular reception. * Trail Access: Endless hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and wildlife watching right off the property into Crown forest land. 15 minutes to downtown Creston, Duck Lake, Kootenay Lake, and local river swimming holes. --- What to Expect (Comfort Glamping vs. Hotel): This is an authentic off-grid glamping experience (similar to a yurt, safari tent, or oTENTik)—not an insulated hotel room. Guests who arrive with a camping mindset and prepare for mountain weather have a wonderful 5-star experience! * Dome Temperatures: The dome functions like a sturdy, hard-walled tent. In the summer, direct daytime sun warms the dome up like a greenhouse—plan to be out swimming, hiking, exploring wineries, or relaxing in the shaded gazebo! Once the sun dips behind the ridge in late afternoon, mountain breezes cool it down quickly for crisp, restful sleeping. In cooler spring/fall months, the indoor temp matches the outside mountain air—check the forecast and pack warm layers, cozy socks, and a toque (beanie). * Diesel Heater: A small diesel heater is provided in the dome to take the chill off brisk mornings, but note the uninsulated dome does not hold heat continuously. * Solar Shower: Water is heated naturally by the sun. It is wonderfully warm on sunny afternoons, but will be brisk in the morning or during overcast weather. * Towels: Towels are NOT provided—please pack your own bath and beach towels. * Bugs & Spray: Nature happens in the forest. We apply natural organic garlic suppression around camp, but mosquitoes vary with weather. A screened gazebo is provided for bug-free meals; please bring your own bug spray/repellent. * Utensils: Basic disposable cups, plates, and cutlery are provided along with the BBQ. It’s a perfect place for those who appreciate a combination of absolute privacy, amazing nature and well organized thoughtful rest. We found ourselves at a quiet, beautiful and well-maintained camp site. We enjoyed a campfire with kindly chopped free wood in a handy and safe fire pit. The BBQ grill was clean and functional . Our son thrilled himself with the variety of darts and a hammock. A special thank you to the hosts for a sink with running water which contributed to our comfort. The geodesic dome had a lot of conveniences such as a comfortable bed, batteries for charging devices, a diesel heater, pots and utensils, etc. We were lucky to observe a starring night sky through the windows on the ceiling. My family and I were so impressed that we have already booked another few days in August.

They weren’t kidding about the dirt road entrance, but the place was WORTH IT! You need 4 wheel drive/a high vehicle to get in and out. The campsite was a large secluded area with the dome, a fire pit, bbq, netted gazebo, pioneer house, disk golf, and a cute and clean outhouse. The dome was warm and dry and outfitted with a keurig, diesel heater, solar charging station, and many extra blankets. They provided clean water and firewood. This place would have been great for a larger group of campers to share. The bed was a little hard, but it was better than an air mattress. We highly recommend!

Beautiful location! The Geodome was a neat experience! Ryan provided us with everything we needed and was very helpful making sure we had a great stay! Communications with Ryan were easy and he quickly answered any questions we had. The property is very large and had everything, from the netted gazebo, fire pit area, outdoor shower, and the nicest, cleanest, most amazing view outhouse!

Awesome weekend getaway

Group trip

Had an absolutely incredible weekend with my brother and our friends. The geodome was so cool, and the prospectors cabin was awesome! The wood stove kept us cozy while it rained. Disc golf, giant beer pong, corn hole, axe throwing, all great fun. Ryan was an excellent host and we are already planning our next trip!

The Dome!

Awesome location located so close to Creston. The Dome was beautiful and such a cool experience! Comfy, classy, clean, and equipped with everything you might need! Ryan was a great host and very helpful! The group camping spot overall is super awesome! Very private and felt safe!
