Large Concrete Pad on forest edge
What a beautiful place, right on the river. Huge, lots of trails through the forest. The concrete pad is enormous and could easily be shared by a second RV. Getting to the camping area is tricky as there is no address marker or sign indicating you’ve arrived at the right spot. The driveway is quite steep in places and I’d be scared to drive down with a trailer larger than our 16-foot Airstream. And there seem to be dirtbikers ripping around quite a bit, generating a LOT of noise and dust. But it ended by around dinner time. All in all, I’d say it’s a beautiful location. Loved the river and would definitely consider coming again except it’s kind of pricy for an RV site with no services. And there was also no picnic table, so we dragged one up from one of the empty tent sites.

Site 3 - Beautiful Rainforest Camping Along the Cowichan River
This site was very close to other camps, felt like you're looking right into their tents and vice versa. There is no visual barrier between sites like there usually is at car campgrounds. Some other campers were very loud early in the morning and late at night. Hard to enjoy the beautiful setting while feeling like you're on top of noisy neighbors. Water from tap was a bit cloudy. Field with campsites was not mown, felt like the only level place to set up our 6 person tent was on a concrete pad. The river at the campsite is beautiful though.

Site 6 - Beautiful Rainforest Camping Along the Cowichan River
This was an amazing, isolated spot located just outside of town. An amazing camping experience right next to the Cowichan River. Thank you for having us!

Site 6 - Beautiful Rainforest Camping Along the Cowichan River
Enjoyable experience
Nice quiet space. Good access to the river. Never saw anyone else around our campsite (#6). Toilet paper available in the outhouse (bonus points). Overall a decent experience. Little bit expensive for a campsite with zero amenities though
