The Navajo Reservation is one of the biggest which is bigger than the state of West Virginia of the Navajo People. The Navajo People are more caretakers of the the beautiful landscape that’s very secluded. The family where I come from own a big property because of our livestock of horses, cattle, goats and sheep. We been on this property for 100s of years and still going strong and it’s the land of the infamous of the “Upper Antelope Canyon” which is literally our backyard. There is so much history and culture meaning to the (Diné)Navajo land that the Diné people hold and cherish. Learn more about this land: We provide a private Navajo Hogan experience with a beautiful view 360 degree view. We are nearby all beautiful locations like the infamous Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, Antelope Point Marina, Little Colorado.

Unreal and Stunning Experience
If you need a to decide on a stellar spot, Navajo Hogan (Earth Homes) in Page, AZ. We were roughing it a little bit but in a way that made us feel so connected and grounded with Mother Earth. Cots look uncomfortable but weren’t and we slept like rocks. It was supposed to be 38° outside, but we were so warm with the wood burning stove that we slept very comfortably on top of the covers. Richardson is an amazing host and takes his guests on a trip with Navajo tacos (a unique delight), storytelling by the fire, traditional tea and breakfast in the morning before a private tour in the (in my opinion) most beautiful and peaceful slot canyon. It all makes you feel a type of why you would expect. Get ready to open your heart and mind to an indescribably beautiful experience. It was unreal and I was bummed we didn’t book more nights. We will definitely go back.

i really enjoyed my stay here! the domes feel private and isolated, however it’s only a short drive into the town, so anything you may need is easily accessible. inside the dome was quite comfortable and warm (the blanket provided was enough to sleep with throughout the night), there was a little stove inside for cooking, and we were provided with lanterns and water as needed. this is such a unique and cool experience, i would definitely recommend!

A bit inside. Was a bit scary in the beginning as there was no one around. Overall liked it.

The area was stunning and the night sky was breathtaking. Everything about the stay was welcoming and enjoyable. As a bonus we got to see horses grazing as we ate breakfast.

Truly Unique Sojourn
Sometimes when you arrive at a place, you understand just the act of being there will change you. Antelope Hogan was one of the most singular experiences for myself and my family. Our host Richardson and his family kindly welcomed us and shared stories about the land; and their relationship with it through the processes of making shelter, food, and tea. The dirt floor of the Hogan was freshly dressed–being the first footsteps in the space made us feel cherished and lucky. My kids loved having the room heated with a real wood stove, wandering in the wash, seeing the Etsitty family livestock from a distance, and being in the glory of sunset and sunrise away from buildings, sidewalks and roads. We woke up amazed at how deeply rested we felt, without the quiet noise of daily machinery like refrigerators, furnaces or clocks.

Richardson was an incredibly amazing host. We had a 1 night booking. We arrived really late after 9 PM but he was very responsive and arrived quickly when we reached our destination. We were welcomed in a cultural gem which is the amazing Hogan with a really nice signboard on the door with my name on it which was a great gesture by Richardson. Richardson gave us some insight about the Navajo culture when we arrived, we wish our schedule was not tightly packed as we would have loved to spend more time with Richardson and learn more about the Navajo culture. The Hogan itself was a piece of art, it brings u close to the nature in a divine way, the insulation is great and the beds are comfortable. There is a fire pit outside too if u want to enjoy under a beautiful sky which lights up as there is no city lights nearby. Our host arrived in morning with some traditional breakfast, coffee and Navajo tea (loved it), and later came to say good bye to us as we were leaving. Overall, we had a long trip touching 4 different states but our stay here became the highlight, all 4 other members of my group loved it too, can not wait to come here again and spend couple of days to learn more about the beautiful Navajo culture

Amazing experience, fantastic host
Amazing place to stay near page AZ. We were a group of 4 and stayed at the Hogan on Dec 24th and the hut was cozy despite the strong wind and cold outside. The hogan has a truly authentic feel to it. Richardson is one of the best hosts i have ever had. He was super quick with responses and met us at the entrance even though we were quite late. The place had everything we needed including firewood, water, pack of cards, lanterns, blankets etc. If you come before sunset you can have a fireside chat with the host. At night light pollution is very less and the sky looked amazing. In the morning Richardson brought us traditional Navajo blue corn meal with hot coffee and honey. After breakfast he also explained about the Navajo culture and his family and we had quite an engaging discussion. He also played a musical instrument like a flute and it was an amazing experience. Overall i would definitely return and would strongly recommend the Navajo Hogan to anyone looking for a rustic authentic experience near Antelope Canyon
