I camped with a bunch of friends at Rene’s property and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had. He was very kind and prompt. His dog, Jacks was very calm and quiet, and we had a good time with him.The ranch is also home to chickens and horses, so if you’re someone who likes animals you will definitely enjoy the vibe. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us and we would definitely go back soon.

A gorgeous location and everything was as described - would highly recommend! Perhaps a sign outside the property might be helpful to reassure guests that they're not just driving onto someone's land without permission!
Also very hands-off - no communication from the host before, during or after the stay. But perfect for what we needed, which was a tent site, fire pit and outhouse washroom!

We stayed at Wildflower Campground and felt the site could use more maintenance. The grass was quite high, which made it less comfortable, and the area around the camp felt a bit untidy. The location is decent, and seeing the horses was a nice touch, but overall, the place would benefit from a bit more care.

We stayed in 2 campers and it had heaps of room for the both of us. The hosts were lovely & it felt like an authentic farm stay. Very pretty landscape and very close to Waterton Lakes National Park. Toilet was clean and the host helped us with access to water. He even gave us some fresh eggs for breakfast!! Would highly recommend

Such a perfect, private camp spot. Super close to Waterton Lakes entrance and worth the 15 min drive to have a quiet place to sleep. The outhouse was clean and so nice to have. Also really affordable and would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed camping here! It was a great location to access Waterton and with only two campsites it made for a more private stay. Definitely after seeing the campsites in Waterton we quickly realized we made the right choice to stay here. It was a good experience and we would come back!

We loved our short stay here. My small son got to feed ponies and chase chickens which was a thrill and the host was incredibly accommodating and kind. We would definitely recommend this place.

The views of the rolling hills with the mountains in the background are gorgeous! There is a great area with a fire pit, HUGE table and outhouse. We were also told about a little secret garden that was so cute. Rene was very friendly and accommodating…as was Jax, the dog. We even saw the Northern lights! It was a great spot to see them.

We loved this Hipcamp! Very close to Waterton without the crowds. Very private and peaceful. Lots of wildflowers. The outhouse was very nice. Lots of nice, little , thoughtful touches everywhere. We would return. Highly recommend!

Johnathan was a responsive and kind host with beautiful land. All of the animals were welcome company and the camp area was perfect for hanging out around a fire and cooking.

Host was nowhere to be found when we arrived. Instructions were to call or knock on door of residence. Did both no response. Host’s mom showed up eventually but knew very little about the accommodation except that the trash had not been removed since last rental.
Site photos are very deceiving. None of them showed the MANY junked cars you will be camping near. Site was very overgrown.
We left and found a very nice alternative site even closer to Watertown NP.
To his credit host did return my call later in the evening and left a message.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. DOES NOT MEET THE QUALITY THAT WE HAVE COME TO ENJOY USING HIPCAMP.

We had a great stay at Jonathan's place. It had everything we needed! The outhouse was well taken care of. It was great to have access to the hose which has clean, drinking water. Communication was great which made it easier to find the place. The owner even gave us some eggs and they were delicious! The sunsets and sunrises were amazing! I would stay here again in the future, thank you!

Very easy place to stay at the edge of a ranch with great toilet, fresh water, table and fire pit facilities. The lovely Rene settled us in and we enjoyed being around the horses, cats and chickens. Good spot to stay to access Waterton NP and some good cycling on quiet roads. Amazing scenery too!

This was an amazing experience! The horses were super friendly as was the owner. We stayed for two nights and didn’t have any issues at all. Location was also perfect for us considering we were traveling Waterton Park. The sunrises/sunsets were perfect and the stars ! Highly recommend!

Jonathan’s land was the perfect place to spend my week trip with my best friend. Very close to local spots like the small town of mountain view, Waterton park, pincher creek and tons more! We had no issues finding stuff to do and filling our days! Jonathan and his dad Rene were super welcoming and warm. We enjoyed the horses, old vehicles, free range chickens and the wonderful veiw of the mountains !! It is quite close to the highway but it got quieter during the week. Stunning sunsets, happy horses, curious cats and amazing humans. We stayed here because it was close to Waterton National Park, but next time we would stay here because it felt like home. ❤️

Nous avons été un peu surpris à notre arrivée, par l'emplacement et les animaux en liberté qui sont venus nous accueillir, mais au final ce fut notre meilleur spot de camping ! Beaucoup d'espace et il y avait des jeux pour les enfants. Une très grande table pour tout le monde, un pitfire, une toilette sèche (très propre) et accès à de l'eau facilement. Le propriétaire était hyper sympathique et a invité les enfants à venir nourrir les chevaux! A 30 min du village de Waterton et 10 min de la ville de Cardson où nous avons fait l'épicerie. Un parfait endroit !!

Super welcoming hosts and a cute farm site with rustic amenities, classic style outhouse & a nice picnic table.
There was some road noise since the site is very close (about 20 feet) from the highway.
The link to the directions didn’t work and coming from the US we had to use roaming to call the host and get verbal directions. His verbal directions were great- so I would suggest he includes these with the link for guests in the future.

It could have been better. The facilities were lacking, and the 'campsite" was a paddock littered with horse manure—not pleasant. Jonathan is a personable young man, and his family is welcoming. However, when I arrived, there was no one to greet me. It felt uncomfortable, and the neighbours reassured me I was at the right place. I thought it was expensive because of the lack of facilities and the cost of staying in a horse paddock surrounded by flies, manure and junk. If the owners paid a little attention, this spot has potential.

Loved this campsite especially due to its proximity to Waterton. We loved the set up of the firepit and the communal table. The outhouse was so clean and not smelly at all - best outhouse I've been to ever. Would def recommend to friends and would book again in the future.
