We really loved to tent in Laura’s land. The views and landscape were incredible. She is the nicest person we’ve ever met. She gave us great directions. We had a lot of fun there and get in touch with nature. We had the opportunity to met Laura’s horses and connect with them before, during and after the horse riding through their amazing land. Laura really care about their guests and make them feel home. We will definitely come back to this lovely and special place.

The location was difficult to find using Google maps. Google maps made for a frustrating experience. However, once I was settled in the rest of the stay was fine and you could see the mountain range from the site.
Laura was pleasant and a good host.
I was the only camper so I had the area to myself.

I love being here! Its such a peaceful place to be and I have been coming here for a couple of years now. The beauty of nature and disconnecting from the world is my favorite thing and this place brings me such peace. I love Laura (the host) and there's amenities to accommodate all. I strongly recommend checking it out! There's so many more options now than when I first met her as she continues to expand. Always so nice seeing my goats Han and Chewie who Laura has so graciously taken them in when I could no longer house them.

We had an amazing time staying on this beautiful farm — it was truly the best experience we've ever had!
Laura is such a kind and caring host. She made us feel welcome and took great care of us during our stay. The room was cozy, clean, and full of charm — it had such a warm and peaceful atmosphere.
The horses are absolutely wonderful, especially River — she’s so gorgeous. The horseback ride through the fields and hills was breathtaking. The views were stunning and the feeling of riding out in nature was unforgettable — it truly took our breath away.
Our son was thrilled with everything! He loved the horses, the fresh air, and just being on the farm. He keeps talking about it and can't wait to come back.
We’re so thankful for this special time — and we will definitely return again.

We had the best time camping at the Meadow this past weekend! It’s so private, serene and beautiful!
The campsite is very spacious with lots of beautiful trees all around you. We had the pleasure of seeing so many nice birds, hearing the occasional cow mooing and listening to the horses and roosters off in the distance.
Our dogs loved getting to roam around and sniff, and it was great not having to worry about other people or dogs coming thru the space all the time. The ground was covered in the most stunning mini white and purple flowers that must be native to the land. Just perfection!
On top of the great site, Laura was gracious enough to give us a tour of the ranch. We met her sweet working guard dog, some of her beautiful horses including her year old pony; rain, her adorable affectionate goats and even get to hold a chick.
This is a MUST visit site! We will for sure camp here again!

Laura's place was such a find! We stayed for our first night of our trip to the Rockies and Laura went above and beyond, offering us a prime spot for the view of the mountains in the morning and for my 6 year old to maximise seeing the animals on the ranch. Unforgettable memories made. I couldn't recommend the spot highly enough. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

This place Amazing!! The house and the owner is so nice she is amazing and a wonderful person, she helped us with everything and gave a tour+ let us use the bathroom and her basement! And view and the animals were amazing and I would definitely go again to such a positive experience and place.
It’s a must to go there with family, or even by your self the experience will be memorable!

We had such a great time at Laura’s Rough Diamond Ranch! This is a heaven for people who love farm life, animals and nature. The view is beautiful, and Laura is super responsive and helpful! We really felt home here. Her hospitality is beyond expectations. We are a family of four with 2 little kids, everyone loved this place. Highly recommended for those seeking a unique experience inside a farm. Definitely would come back again :)

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Laura's ranch camping site with my family, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The range of amenities offered was fantastic, and everything was well-maintained and clean. The campsite provided a perfect blend of nature and comfort, making our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The amazing nature of star arrays and lovely horses riding and training experience make us cannot wait for future visit.
The location was ideal, offering beautiful scenery and plenty of activities for everyone in the family. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the well-equipped kitchen area and the cozy fire pit, which made our evenings memorable.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this camping experience to anyone looking for a great family getaway.

As Laura went out to get supplies when we were about to check in, Alan helped us find our way to the meadow. He directed us there but didn't give us any instructions about the gates—how to open them, whether we needed to close them whatnot, or anything else. Additionally, there were no water jugs prepared until very late night. And guess what? This is a message what I received from Laura after checking out. How hilarious. I'm wondering if she only treats us poorly because I wouldn’t use "WTF" to the guests without first understanding what happened. Oh well, good luck to anyone who visits her meadow.🤷♀️

The drive to this property was absolutely stunning. While it could be a really great destination, the check-in process needs work. We were sent to the wrong site twice, and when Laura finally showed up and asked for our names, we found out we weren’t in the meadow as planned. To make things worse, a party at our original site kept us up with noise until the early hours.
Our second site was near the entrance, so we were disturbed by other campers arriving at all hours. It wasn’t the peaceful escape we had hoped for, and we ended up leaving early since we would have had to move to another site anyway due to another booking.
If you’re into horseback riding, hiking, or biking, this place could work for you. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for families, as there’s not much for kids to do.
With some tweaks to the check-in process and better management of quiet hours, this could be a fantastic spot for a getaway.

This property is breathtaking! A hidden gem!! Our campsite was at the back of the property surrounded by trees and completely private. Laura is wonderful! The directions were accurate, communication was great. We were fortunate enough to get a tour of the ranch, meet the animals and take home some free range eggs! Can’t wait to return to Rough Diamond Ranch and enjoy this beautiful property again. Highly recommend the meadow campsite if you’re looking for a quiet secluded site surrounded by nature. The amazing host is a bonus!

Laura’s land is incredible. She is a fantastic host. She met us upon arrival and drove us to our site. Our camp was secluded and quiet. You can get a wonderful view of the cows in the meadow at sunset, breathtaking.

Wonderful host and I will be back again if I’m on this side of the world so welcoming The campsite is as advertised. The location is remote, but once there the campsite is easy to access, just inside the gate. Nice stay away in some backcountry farm land!

Beautiful land!!! Waking up every morning and seeing the horses was quite the treat!!! Laura was an amazing host and went above and beyond, especially with us checking in very late….we were able to come and go as we pleased with no issues. I would definitely recommend this campground!!!

Laura was super nice and the site was easy to find. I’d arrived at 5 am and was delirious but Google maps led me straight to the right place. I was unable to stay the whole time I’d scheduled but Laura was very courteous and helped me out!

Friendly host and a beautiful location. We were off grid in the meadow and had the lovely, quiet spot to ourselves. Cows had babies and were fun to watch. Horses had a baby too. Water Valley has lots to recommend it. Will be back.

The view was great, the site is huge. I love that it’s off leash my dog is free to ran around with the some other dogs. She got to play all over the land. The place is quiet. Laura is super nice, she showed us her animals at the ranch and we got a tour inside her beautiful home. She has fresh chicken eggs to buy from her coop, Which we were able to go in and watch her pick the eggs 🙂.

Laura’s place is beyond amazing for those looking for a real ranch experience with a host who is willing to go above and beyond in every way. She is attentive and committed to providing the ultimate experience on her farm for guests. I don’t know how she does it.
She involves guests in every aspect of farm life, from egg gathering to going on goat walks. Her mare has a newborn foal - they are a joy to observe and remind you of the beautiful bonds we all need and often forget to nurture in pursuit of our human objectives. This has been a grounding and soul-feeding experience. I recommend a long-term stay for anyone considering spending time at Laura’s farm as an opportunity to slow down and reconsider life’s purpose.
Thank you, Laura! You are a rare gem of a person who shares her beautiful oasis with pleasure with all who express an interest. We need more of you out there.💕
