We are a working cattle ranch about 10 minutes drive off of HiWay #1. You’re surrounded by wildlife and outdoor activities just as you step out of the door. We offer lots of privacy. During most of your stay, you will think there’s no one on the ranch but you! We’re close to a golf course, about 40 minutes to Canmore, one hour to Banff, and 40 minutes to Downtown Calgary. Perfect for day trips for activities other than camping. Our cows are tame, but not house pets, especially when they have their calves near by! They’ll be curious, but then go back to munching on grass.

The Bend

Paradise!

I found my stop easily, James gave great directions. The white clover smelled wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful. I went to the lake just to sit there but found a kayak so I spent one hour on the water enjoying the sunset. I wanted to book for a weekend but it was already not available. So hurry up!

We highly recommend James's The Meadows cabin. Every year we have best camping experience. Both James and his wife are super host. We will be back here again next year or maybe every year. So far for us the best cabin in Alberta.

North Creek

It was so lovely to have a private, relaxed, place to camp! The scenery is beautiful and it was nice to hear the cows just like we do at home hahaha.

The Bend

James’s land was our first Hipcamp experience and it was fantastic. We loved the feel of the place- private, quiet, beautiful. We easily found level ground for our tent and camper van. In the morning we paddled on the lake. It was a great time. James was also very friendly.
