We’ll be back!
This was our first time camping and we loved it! We canoed and hiked. they have a shelter with lots of fun activities, clean bathrooms and WiFi. The host was so super kind and helpful (he even jump started my car for me!)!
Stop scrolling and book!
We loved our stay so much. The camp was very clean and well kept, as well as the bathrooms. In the barn there was books, ping pong tables, and lots of space for family fun! Owners were very friendly. In the morning they prepared a wonderful breakfast of fruit, rice, eggs, pancakes, bacon, juice, and coffee. The best part, the trails were amazing with mushrooms and lichen everywhere. Owner gave us directions for the trails, which was very helpful. Beautiful camp, we do plan on coming again!
Family friendly stay!
This was a lovely place to stay. The river shack was clean with bunks for our two boys and a cot and hammock for us.
Patrick was very helpful and it was great to have yard games set up in the barn nearby for the kids!
Hidden slice of heaven
Angelica and Patrick are FANTASTIC hosts! We arrived to a very warm welcome after a big day of adventuring at the falls.. Patrick showed us to the Cumberland River Shack and made sure everything was perfect for our evening of relaxation on the river! We debated over kayaking or tubing, which are offered at prices that are incredibly reasonable, but in the end chose to take our camping chairs and sit in the middle of the river with a few cold drinks.. From there we swung in the hammocks before getting dinner started on the outdoor grill.. After dinner was the perfect time to take advantage of the blissful outdoor showers (inside showers are available as well) and finish the evening off by the fire pit..
A normal camping review would end here but the best was yet to come.. After a great nights sleep we woke up to one of our most unique camping experiences.. An authentic Costa Rican breakfast made fresh and served by Angelica, while Patrick provided the perfect music and atmosphere..
This place is added to our favorites and we are definitely going to return very soon!!
Best camp near cumberland falls!
Amazing place to get away from it all!
The river Shack was great! Slept like a baby with the orchestra of river critters.
Nice clean bathrooms with hot showers!
Hosts were great and made us feel at home. A short drive from Cumberland Falls also! We will be back!
I really can't say enough great things. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming. They were there with anything we needed. The place is clean and beautiful. Our little river trip was perfect. The restrooms and all facilities were clean and very nice. We will definately be back.
Staying in the River Shack at Patricks Point Rivercamp was one of the best experiences we’ve had camping yet! Patrick and his wife Angelica are wonderful people. They were extremely helpful and offered to lend us a hand in any way we needed. The hospitality alone will have us coming back to this location for years and years to come. Any advice you would need for the surrounding area was given without hesitation, and Patrick himself knows all the shortcuts and routes to get to Cumberland Falls without the worries of GPS. His land is extremely beautiful and there are many hiking trails to explore, even a Bigfoot research center! A big plus for us were the bathrooms and showers. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained every single day. There are 2 indoor showers with electricity, and hot running water, along with a sink. Patrick even built 2 outdoor showers (also with hot water) that was a great experience on its own! Having showers with hot water is a major plus when you’ve been out kayaking all day. Which is another beautiful experience on it’s own, kayaking down the Cumberland River was one of the most beautiful, tranquil kayaking trips we’ve been on. The river shack in particular was like a personal oasis. Sleeping in an open shack while still being connected to nature was incredible to experience. This just might be our little escape we need whenever we get tired of the busy city life. If I could choose a place to camp for the rest of my life, I would choose Patricks Point. Everything you would need is simply on site and easily accessible. I would recommend this location to anyone! 10/10
