We weren’t sure what to expect on our first Hipcamp experience and it blew our expectations out of the water. What a delightful experience! Sara was so hospitable and the location was picturesque. We camped in a grassy field next to an old tobacco barn that has been converted to a wedding venue. All the lights were on at the barn with beautiful old chandeliers and lots of little shabby chic touches. When you walk down the road a bit you come to a platform where we watched the sun go down over the hills. In the morning I did yoga on the same platform. There is another Airbnb on the property and I think other campsites so there is the potential to see other people but we did not see a soul. It was just what we needed after being crammed into tiny campsites with no room to relax!

We enjoyed the quietude and peacefulness of this location. We met the host who was very friendly and explained about their property. We enjoyed a nice hike and viewed all their old buildings that are now used as venues for weddings and other group activities.

Sara drove to meet me when I arrived and then led me to the site where I’d be camping for the night. It was a beautiful open air barn that I could actually drive under so my car was shielded by the elements. It was very secluded and quiet and had the most gorgeous sunset! There was also a pond a short distance away so the frogs sang me to sleep! Great place! I’d highly recommend!

This was my first time using the app, and Sara and her husband were so kind and hospitable! The site was beautiful! We were on a long road trip across country and Sara even called the next day to check in on my trip! Definitely would stay there again!!

Response from Sara, the Host, on October 28th, 2019

We were so excited to have John and his mother on the farm. They were our first Hipcampers. We do have many areas on our 700 acre farm that can be utilized and John was so easy to work with.. Thanks John! We are so happy it was a good experience.
