Rock Creek is simply amazing. My husband and I have camped in Rock Creek, (specifically Big Rock) for the last 3 years, every May as soon as it's available. Near water, lush forest, and showers. It's quiet and boasts beautful views all around.

Rock Creek is a nice campground on Perry Lake run by the Army Corps of Engineers. They have a variety of sites with hookups and more primitive options. Also fireflies (sorry... this California girl can't get enough :)). The facilities were clean and the showers were hot.
