This little gem in Central Iowa is
AWE-MAZING! I was greeted by the owner, Jim, and he took me to my tree house/pods for my stay. I would highly recommend bringing a warm sleeping bag or multiple blankets if you plan to sleep in the tree house/pods. There is no electricity, very primitive. Camp stove, headlamp recommended. There is a small walk to the bathroom/outdoor shower. On your way to the facilities, there is a pergola lit with tivoli lights, a firepit and festival hula hoops.

I went on a small hike with owner, Jessica, and their 2 llamas, Penny and Scarlet at sunset and it was such a treat. They let the goats, horses, pigs and ponies out to graze and this morning I got to meet the resident peacock. The friendliest white cats kept me company during my stay.

The coyotes cackled/howled during the night while our ancestors (stars) watched over us from above. I'm hoping to schedule a yoga retreat here in the Spring. Such a great place for a music festival or spiritual retreat.

The farm was so whimsical and enchanting. The weather was perfect for staying in the tree pods! A sleeping bag sufficed to keep me warm for temps that were in the 50s overnight. The clear night sky was amazing for stargazing. The tree pods were just steps away from a fire pit and pizza oven. We didn’t get to use the oven but will remember the next time we go there to use it! The bathroom was close as well and wasn’t scary to walk to in the middle of the night with a flashlight (I’m a scaredy cat 😉). The site was far enough from others to make it feel private. The animals were all so cute and friendly! If you come here, go explore! There are little pockets of whimsical set ups to read a book, meditate, or even picnic! What a little gem to have so close to us! We will definitely be back!!

If you are really trying to get outdoors and connect with nature, staying in these tree pods sleeping under the stars is the best way to do this. Being able to feel the breeze and night and hearing the nighttime sounds, and getting to see the sunrise from your tree pods is magical. Can’t forget natures alarm clock, the rooster!

This place is simply magical. Friendly animals and beautiful scenery offers the ideal place to disconnect and reset.

Also outdoor showers are the best!!

I absolutely loved staying here. The host was very friendly and inviting. I added on the s’mores and hot cocoa bar, they were absolutely gorgeous and tasted amazing. The waffle breakfast was stupendous. My son says that we have to stay there again. The horses are out grazing freely and one of the pigs. They are so friendly. The goats and birds are so cute. There is a peacock also the watches over the farm. There are apple and pear trees. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Make sure you bring a tent if it’s supposed to Raina be you are staying in the tree pods because as they have mentioned, they are not waterproof. But they are fun to sleep in.

We absolutely LOVED the Tree Pod campsite. First of all, the Tree Pods are amazing to sit and swimg in, and my wife and I enjoyed looking over the beautiful land from the open faced tree house. To add to our experience, though, was Jessica. She had such a happy, geniune personality and opened her farm to my family - goats, pigs, horses, sheep, llamas, a peacock and turkey. She has created a magical world my kids want to visit over and over again. Thank you!

I make a cross-country road trip every summer, and this is definitely one of my favorite hipcamp sites! I slept in the treehouse next to the pods—watched the sunset, then woke up to birds inches away in the willow trees. The indoor toilet & sink is a short walk away (shared by hipcampers staying in a cabin), as is the outdoor shower lined with gorgeous stone tiles.

I loved the goats and all the other animals! The whole property is laid out so well, and has so many pretty views, cozy nooks for reading or talking, mowed trails for wandering, and lots of little whimsical touches. It would be a wonderful getaway for a family or small group of friends, too, as there is a communal fire pit, hammocks, and a pizza oven! Jess and Jim offer a couple of yurts and cabins, too, if you want more shelter than the tree pods, treehouse, or your own tent. Everything is spaced out enough for privacy, but close enough to the communal areas for convenience. I will definitely stay here again when driving through Iowa!

Jessica was very welcoming and accommodating to our family! The kids loved the animals and Jessica was so sweet to let them hold the baby goats and baby ducks. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. Very beautiful place!
