Best iowa camping experience.
It was an amazing sight with awesome amenities. The hosts were super nice and generous and made sure we knew where everything was. We had lots of fun and are definitely coming back.
This was an idyllic gem. Everything is laid out to provide a lovely experience- kayaks, swimming, fishing nets. The tipi was wonderful, watching the fire light flicker across the tipi walls as we talked before bed. We loved it all!
Tipi and a whole lot more
Absolutely loved this place. The tipi is great but it's much more than that. The large farm pond (with kayaks provided by host), campfire facilities, feed the fish, and the trails around the natural prairie land give you the feeling of what this land might have been like a couple hundred years ago. Hosts are great and go out of their way to provide what you need. I went alone, but would also highly recommend for a couple getting away or a family wanting to be in nature.
Absolutely beautiful and amazing
It was absolutely stunning and beautifu. A perfect piece of land away from civilization for a couple of days. Tipi was very roomy slept six of us comfortably and the pond that is so well taken care of was amazing to fish and swim in. The trails around the ground were really cool as well I would recommend this to everyone and look forward to possibly doing an annual trip out here for a weekend. The hosts were very genuine people and great people. All around awesome experience
Getaway for solitude or family fun
I have found many wonderful sites on HipCamp but this place is next level. Private four acres. Spacious site. Fully stock camp kitchen (except for food, although a bottle wine is included), canoe, kayak, fishing poles, fish food, walking path, potable water, even an extension cord to get electricity to the teepee for those who need it. The shower and out house are fantastic - a hot shower in the middle of the prairie. Lots of thoughtful touches too. My only regret is not being there longer. It's a special place
