The RV campsites all have up to 50 amps power.  They can accommodate trucks and campers up to 80 feet in length.  Water is available and if you are staying a long time , we can arrange to have your dark tank drained.  The campground is seven acres and nestled in a valley in the Loess Hills. Once here you can roam the full  170 acres of Horse Creek Adventures.  Activities include - hiking, horseback riding "by appointment only", horse camping,  fishing,  enjoying the wildlife  and viewing beautiful vistas .

Horse Camping-  We welcome RV owners with horses. There are portable corrals, and round pens available. Plus you can enjoy our trails.  A campsite and full use of the horse accommodations is $25 nightly plus $15 for each horse.  We also accommodate horse owners traveling  and needing a stop for one night.

Special Notes:

Horse Rentals:  For children, a short ride accompanied by our wranglers in our arena or for adults, a two hour guided trail ride beginning with an introduction to trail riding. Contact us for more details.

Dog owners:  We are pet friendly at Horse Creek Adventures but it does require that dog owners work with us.  At any given time there are horses and dogs sharing the same space.  Tell us up front that you are bringing a dog and tell us about its size and breed.  Our rule of thumb is small dogs are welcome. Large dogs are on a case by case basis. This is especially important for dogs that are trained to protect their owners.  When dogs are here they must be kept on a leash, "no exceptions"

We are located an hour from Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska,. St Joseph and Kansas City , Missouri are about an hour and half away. Area attractions include Wabaunsee State Park Equine trails. Underground railroad,  Arbor Lodge, Lewis and Clark Center. Iowa's Championship Rodeo in Sidney in August, only five minutes away.

We actually ended up not staying there. We were supposed to have someone there to show us our spot , but no one showed. We called Jack and he said that we needed to call someone to come over. While we were waiting, we realized that the campsites were too sloped for us to set up on. We don’t have leveling equipment. We left and camped at a nearby state campground.

This is a fantastic camping spot. It was nestled in a cute little spot in Hills and was easy for us to find. We felt at home in our pop up and enjoyed the seclusion of only 10 total sites at the campground. The sites have picnic tables, power, and fire rings. The owner was extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. The location is superb as it is close proximity to Nebraska City and orchards as well as Omaha for a trip to the zoo. We can't wait to go back and explore the grounds more thoroughly and take our parents to enjoy some of the other accommodations available there.

It was very peaceful, and the camp host was very helpful and courteous. The only downside was no dump station, but there is one 5 miles up the road, so not terrible. It was quiet. Definitely a place i highly recommend!

Loved the peace and quiet! Listened to owels coyotes and turkeys. Getting rid of black and gray water is a little bit of a challenge so just be prepared and plan ahead.
We plane on going back!

Lona (never spoke to Jack) was very responsive to our queries and met us soon after our arrival. The location was great, fronting on a fairly quiet road but it was a very hot day with no shade in the ten spaces designated for RVs. Also the property there had a pretty decent slope which would have made it difficult to level our pop-up camper. Since we didn’t really need an electric or water hookup, Lona suggested we move to a much shadier, much leveler spot farther up on the property which was ideal. We appreciated the suggestion and her ability to work with us. If your rig has air conditioning and leveling capabilities then I would think the ten standard spaces are fine on a hot day.
