Stay in one of our off the grid cabins that are on above the ground 20' x 20'  decks.  The cabins are at the top of Loess Hills bluffs, placed to provide great views.  They have been spaced to give you a lot of privacy.  Get ready for spectacular vistas and the ability to get away from it all.

It begins with leaving you car down below. You can hike or ride your horse to the cabin. You don't need a horse to stay at Horse Creek Adventures. We bring up your gear in a gator.   The cabins easily hold queen size air mattresses. We also have cots you can use. (Rented at $5 a stay) Each cabin has a spindle picnic table with chairs; fire ring and some basic cooking items. You bring the rest of the gear you would bring for a camping trip.   We provide a 7 gal container full of water and a porta-potty toilet for your use.

Once you are set up there are trails to walk or ride with your horses, or just sit on the deck enjoy the beautiful view and read a book. After a short hike, you can catch fish from the pond.  It is catch and release, you bring your own pole, no fishing license is required.  Depending on the season there are blackberries to pick and eat.

At night get ready for the sounds of coyotes and other creatures sharing the space with you. These are just a few of the ways you can enjoy staying at Horse Creek Adventures.  We are less than an hour from Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska. St. Joseph and Kansas City, Missouri are about an hour and a half.

Special Notes:

Horse owners:

You can rent one or more of our cabins, keeping your horse with you in a nearby corral .

Horse Rentals:  For children, a short ride accompanied by our wranglers in our arena or for adults, a two hour guided trail ride beginning with an introduction to trail riding. Contact us for more details.

Dog owners:  We are pet friendly at Horse Creek Adventures but it does require that dog owners work with us.  At any given time there are horses and dogs sharing the same space.  Tell us up front that you are bringing a dog and tell us about its size and breed.  Our rule of thumb is small dogs are welcome. Large dogs are on a case by case basis. This is especially important for dogs that are trained to protect their owners.  When dogs are here they must be kept on a leash, "no exceptions".

Our Facebook page "Horse Creek Adventures" provides up-to-date information about activities and the latest at Horse Creek.

Spent a wonderful night at the Inn. Was originally going to camp but because of the cold we were offered a room inside. We were very grateful to have a warm room! Wonderful host, would stay again.

We really enjoyed the beautiful setting and remote feeling the cabins provided. Fall colors made the hillsides even more spectacular. Great set up, great service, great hosts! We’ll definitely be going back again!

Jack and Lona's land is a very special place. The cabins have beautiful views and there were lots of walking paths and trails for us to spend the day exploring. We also enjoyed kayaking on the pond.

Absolutely beautiful scenery, we were the only ones there so Lona let us pick whatever cabin we wanted. We forgot to pack a lighter and Lona was nice enough to lend us one along with some home made fire starters. So very kind of her. 10/10 perfect experience, couldn't be happier and can't wait to go again!
