Incredible camping experience
Jason was incredibly welcoming and his property is nothing shy of perfect. We had the whole place to ourselves for a group of 6 + 2 dogs and it could have probably accommodated a few dozen between the two campsites. The campsites are set towards the back of the property allowing for total privacy. Jason took our gear out there in a couple trips no problem with his tractor which made our lives easy.
The camping area we stayed in was clean, enormous, had two metal tables, a number of metal chairs, a charcoal grill, a firepit with cooking tripod and grate and a large, elevated wood platform. Jason was also generous enough to stock plenty of wood for us too.
We had a great time enjoying the trails cutting through the property and the beautiful sunsets from the swings at the second campsite area. And the outhouse was excellent as well.
We will absolutely be back!
What camping should be like.
BOOK IT NOW!! this was the highlight of our cross country trip so far! We considered staying at Michigan’s sand dunes but we tired of staying in large campgrounds and tried Jason’s spot. Let me tell you it was beautiful, inclusive and homie. This place is an absolute must if you are traveling through Indiana. Can’t wait to return one day.
We'll definitely be back!
Jason and Megan were AWESOME and their property was absolutely perfect. We had 23 people there for Labor Day weekend and we had the best time. Jason and Megan could not have been more hospitable. The toilet was the best I've seen at a campground and the privacy factor was huge. We loved that it was just our group and honestly their property could accommodate 3 times that many people. All the kids had so much fun running around and playing on the hiking trails. I could not recommend this place more. We go camping several times a year and this was our best experience yet! Thanks Jason and Megan!!
What an awesome spot. Lots of wild life back there if you’re lucky enough and quiet enough to see it. Jason and Megan are just awesome host. We love seeing them and hanging out with them. They do respect your privacy if that’s what you want. The pond was awesome. Was a bit hot when we went up but that shower is a huge game changer. Soo refreshing. Awesome spot we will be back.
Best site ever!!
If I could give more stars I would! Friendly and helpful host, the site was immaculate and it was a wonderful two nights. It is a hike to get to the site so I recommend a wagon, but Jason the host has a tractor and is more than happy to help ferry stuff to the site. There were 5 us and we all give 5 stars.
Super site! super host!
My group had a great time here. The host was very hospitable. Jason really went out of his way to ensure that we had everything that we need. He was super. The property was very well taken care of. There was plenty of room for larger groups. The site easily had the nicest outhouse that i ever used. I would highly recommend J & M acres. I would like to go back for another visit, hopefully when the rain cooperates and i could explore the trails that he cut out on his property.
A peaceful and pristine place
This was our second time staying here and we Will be back again! We were able to find a nice spot on the property for a 6person tent that stayed shaded all day in the 90 degree plus heat, and the shower to cool off made all the difference. Had a family of groundhogs come out and enjoy all the grasses they could eat. Song birds as background noise. Hundreds of fire flies giving you a show. And if you’re quiet enough and up early you can catch a glimpse of deer. Lots of trails to walk on the property and as you walk be on the look out for black berries and mulberries everywhere, yum! Such a quiet and relaxing piece of property. And huge!!! So much room to do spread out.
