Sleep in the trees!

If you’re an avid outdoors person, you’re likely excited camping season is almost here. What could possibly be better than falling asleep to the sound of a babbling creek and waking to a fresh morning breeze? Well... how about doing it in a tent hanging above the ground? Here are three reasons staying in our treehouse tent will make this your best camping season ever.

1. Sleep better on a truly flat surface.

Stop hunting around the site for a flat spot to put your tent. We've strung your Tentsile tent 3 feet above ground for a level, comfortable sleep.

2. Experience your old love in a new way.

Chances are you’ve been camping for a long time if not your whole life. You might have fond childhood memories of family camping trips. And since the beginning, you've either been on the ground or camping in a hammock. Camping in a tree tent transforms your longtime love into an entirely new yet familiar experience!

3. Have more fun!

Let’s face it, sleeping in the trees like a jungle animal is just plain fun. Take the kids or be a kid yourself to engage your playful, creative side. Look down on the forest floor from a whole new angle and revel in the novelty of doing something just for the fun of it.

Explore the Farm

Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 70 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Make friends with our black Labrador, Juno. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, 4 goats, several barn cats and our horse, Stormy. If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.

Activities for kids include helping with farm chores, hiking trails, wading in the creek, swinging on the large platform swing and soaring down the 400 foot-long zipline (extra fee $50 for an hour).

The site has a picnic table and firepit. Restrooms are about 200 yards away.

Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm or some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens!

Tim & Beth were very accommodating & checked on us twice to make sure we had everything we needed! Our girls LOVED the tree tent, slide & all the barn cats! Would love to go back & try the cabin!

It is a very well kept farm, has lots of alpacas (50ish?), and they are very hospitable hosts. There were several babies and mamas. We got to help weigh some babies and help feed the animals twice a day and he took a few out so my kids could walk one with a halter and pet them. Barn kitties followed us around. 😍 There is a lot of land to wander. They have a cabin onsite and a few camping spots right by a creek. It is pretty remote but also had things to do. Tree tent also was fun unless you're a light sleeper like me... 😅. Got 10/10 from my crew.

Fun for family. We stayed in the tree tent twice recently. My 5 year old son loved the experience. Alpacas were extra fun. Creek provides cool place to play. Hosts were helpful.

This is our 3rd time staying at Heritage Farm and it won't be our last. The owners have added a lot of great activities including hay ride and a hiking trail. The campsites are far enough apart to be secluded and the clean bathrooms are a bonus. Lots of room for the kids to run around. Our kids loved playing with the barn cats. Tim and Beth also make the best pizza! They are wonderful hosts.

Our site was beautiful and quiet. Waking up to alpacas roaming out in the fields made the experience very memorable.

We decided to take a last-minute camping trip and found Heritage Farms. We stayed on a tensile tent in the trees. It was like falling asleep on a cloud staring at the stars. I look forward to the next time we can get away and stay here.
