Had a great stay!
We had such a great stay! The kids loved the animals and scenery was gorgeous. The roosters were a bit rambunctious (bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper) around 3am, but I loved being able to wake up, cook over the campfire, and give the goats and pigs some scratches. It was a wonderful weekend and we plan to do it again.
Rhinda is wonderful! and her farm was perfect for us! We love animals; she has so much variety and tells you all about them. My boys learned a ton from her. She allows you to spend as much time the animals as you want as long as there’s an adult with kids and everyone’s respectful. There’s a fire ring, a hammock, porch swing, picnic table, porta potty… everything you need. She sells firewood for $5/bundle if you need it. We’re definitely coming back and letting each of our kids being a friend. If you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs- the animals are up early- it’s a working farm- we loved hearing all their chatter. Couple really nice wineries nearby (Shale Lake, Family Vine and Copper Dock). We had an awesome family weekend!
I loved staying here! It was a great place to relax and recharge between destinations. I wouldn't have minded staying longer. The animals were fantastic to look at pet, and learn a little about. If you're a light sleeper then ear plugs may be needed, because they're animals and they like to talk, but they didn't bother me at all. She had a couple different options for locations to set up a tent. One was closer to the animals and the other was closer to the front of the house near the road. I opted for the spot closer to the animals. I'd definitely keep this location in mind for future trips through the area.
Such a fun spot!
We had a great time here! Our kiddos loved meeting all the animals. The fields surronding the farm are beautiful and there was just enough room for our large RV. Rhinda was a wonderful host.
Rhinda was a wonderful, attentive, and friendly host. We all loved meeting her variety of animals and getting to know them. We even brought home a new pet. The hot outdoor shower was a wonderful treat.
Great camping spot and great host
Rhinda was a great host and her passion for animals is refreshing. The camping sites are well positioned on the property. We were 6 people with 3 tents and we had enough space around the pit fire.
Animal lover’s heaven
This was an excellent choice. Rhinda’s place is full of cool animals. Our campsite was nice and flat. There was a fire pit, swing and table with chairs. There was an enclosed outhouse, outdoor sink with running water and hot shower. Rhinda was a great host, super responsive but also gave us our space. We are planning on coming back again.
