Up on the Hill Camping
Quiet and private
Barbaras land was very private and quiet. So much better than renting a place at a camp ground. My boyfriend and I ended up hammocking under a little lean to by the amazing outdoor shower which worked out well. We brought towels, camp stove, and got snacks from the dollar general near by. I will definitely be back to stay. Id recommend maybe bringing a table to cook on at your site, bug spray, and extra carabiners. Barbara was very good with communication!

Up on the Hill Camping
Great location, privacy, short ride to Ferne Clyffe hiking. Barbara is a giant hearted, sincerely caring host. Started missing her soon as we left. We were there during a storm and even some high winds. Our tents were just below a hill top which cut down the wind for us, all good n dry, we slept great. If you like to camp but not too primitive, prefer to have a bathroom and clean water, this is a very good spot.

Amazing Stay!
Wonderful stay on a beautiful property. Barbara was an awesome host and provided everything she offered on the listing and more! She was willing to make concersation with us and help us out when we wanted, but also kept to herself when we wanted to spend time alone as our own group. I would absolutely stay here again 😁

We love Barbra!
Barbra is wonderful! So kind and accommodating. We camped at the top of her hill and the view is incredible. We love the outdoor shower! The property is so lovely and is close to state parks.

We will be back, it was so relaxing. A great place to unwind. The hospitality was above and beyond! Beautiful views. Tossed around some bags.

Up in the hill camping was pleasant stay and Barbara was helpful and knowledgeable of the area.
With being centrally located made it easy to see many of the sights southern Illinois has to offer.
This is a great location to set up and relax, would be a great place for a young family too be able to roam, or a quick getaway with a special someone.
Not as remote and secluded as we like, still a wonderful gem of a find.
