The Ranchocita
Beauty and the Barking
We stopped for one night here. Very convenient to the highway and only $40/night. I asked the host a question about the listing: there was a confusing statement about hookups being an additional $35. Host messaged me back and let me know that it is $40/night all included so we went ahead and booked. After we booked, however, she called to repeat the arrival directions and lastly to let us know that they have several dogs in a kennel outside and that they do bark. We said it was ok about the dogs but once we arrived we were surprised to see six dogs. I would have given the host 5 stars except for the barking and growling of the six dogs. The first 3 or so hours we were there they barked a lot. We didn’t want to go out of our camper because we felt that this was agitating the dogs. Another hip camper was staying at their other site, so we were attributing the excess barking to the possibility that those guests were doing things outside, although we couldn’t see them from where we were parked (in a bay of their large garage). Once the dogs went inside, peace and quiet reigned until about 8:30 am when they kenneled outside again. The host was prompt in responding and the water and electric set up went smoothly. The countryside was beautiful and everything was clean.

The place was really easy to find. The host was super helpful and good with communicating. They sell firewood there and have a nice bathroom to use and they are pet friendly ☺️ Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet and peaceful country setting
We enjoyed our stay at Arte, and Alexandra’s. We were close to beautiful mountain biking and hiking trails in the Snake River Canyon. We had a short drive to town as well as Shoshone Falls. We found them to be very helpful and able to give us advice on tourist activities in the area. I would highly recommend this campsite and plan to come back.

Quiet Country Retreat
Arte and Alexandra generously shared their quiet and beautiful property with us. We had the full hook up with our RV. We were only a 10 minute bike ride from trails down to and next to the Snake River. We are also very close to town. They also helped us find interesting things to do. I would highly recommend this option. Thank you. Gerald and Vivian from Canada
