The cabin is situated right on the creek. I got water for coffee and breakfast one day, was perfect access. Shannon was very kind and communicative. There are quite a few camps next to the cabin, there was another hipcamper there the night before I left that I had a friendly chat with in the morning. Was a really nice experience, I didnt have to ask for anything. There was water in the cabin as well as silver/dishware, matches, games and such. Was the perfect weekend getaway for me!

Beautiful little cabin located in an ideal setting. The listing said for up to four people but there is only a pull out sofa. So I’d say it’s more accurate for 2 people. The cabin is equipped with many items which make it very useful for travelers. The meadows is also shared with a number of other Hipcamp sites so you won’t be alone. We luckily didn’t have any other guests.

We attempted to do the soap making class which would have been fun but there was a miss communication on when we should come and timing got to late. We felt bad but we hadn’t heard back from them by 8pm and figured it was to late for our little kids at that point. We did however pick up some fun goodies from her little shop including soap, jams and mustard all made by them.

Doug and Shannon were great hosts! We loved being able to stay at their quaint little cabin and enjoy the sounds of the creek just a few feet away. It was a perfectly peaceful time. It lightly snowed on us one morning as we were making coffee and breakfast outside but it was perfect. We preferred cooking outside over the propane stove rather than inside on the wood fired one. That being said, we also enjoyed staying comfy in the bed with the little portable heater warming up the place and making it even more cozy.

The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and made sure we had a very comfortable stay.

Had an incredible time at the Cabin in the Meadow. Doug and Shannon have created a special space here. Shannon was timely with responses and gave us great recommendations for the weekend. We felt welcome when we arrived with the fire going outside, as well as inside with the wood stove. The wood stove kept the space warm and there was a space heater provided as well. The space inside was clean and everything was provided that we needed (plus some!). We were greeted by the hosts shortly after arriving and just chatted quick. I will definitely be back. The area is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable.

The cabin was a perfect winter getaway. We used it as a base camp to ski at the local ski hill. The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly and the scenery was beautiful. We even used the wood fired oven to bake cinnamon rolls. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Simple, comfortable accommodations at a secluded location. It was mid week and there were no other hip-campers at the presumed other sites nearby so we had the entire area to ourselves. Doug and Shannon did a great job at ensuring we had what we needed without having to ask.

The seasoned pans helped us create some of our best meals of the year! So good we attracted a bear one evening (who politely excused him/herself after realizing we were still present).

Great location outside of town, clear night skies, A quiet yet peaceful stream nearby, and great for basing day trips to nearby attractions.

Idaho is beautiful, and we can’t wait to go back.

Cabin was lovely. We were so busy biking and fishing that we only got to enjoy the cabin when it was storming or at night. Amazing little spot close to town and lots of fun things to do! Highly recommend!
