If you’re planning a camping trip to Curlew Campground, you’re going to want to bring a medley of toys: your fishing pole, waterskies, and bird books would be a good start. Best to pack extra sun protection, since the surrounding area of natural grassland and open desert offers little shade. The campground is open year-round, and contains one large group site that can hold up to 200 people. Beyond fun activities, the stone reservoir at Curlew provides a lovely little oasis of serenity. Extra bonus, there’s horseshoe pits – game on!
